The Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation and the Kletsel Dehe Wintun Nation, both Patwin tribes, are the recognized descendants of those who lived on this soil for countless generations. They hold a first-of-its-kind cultural easement of 15 acres in Glen Cove in partnership with the City of Vallejo, allowing the tribes to preserve and protect their cultural resources where their people once gathered. The Patwin tribes partner with local agencies on conservation efforts and are pillars of their communities, sharing resources with tribal and non-tribal neighbors alike.

Their legacy is one of responsible stewardship, a stark contrast to thepredatory “reservation shopping” of the Scotts Valley Band of Pomo Indians. The Patwin people exemplify responsible stewardship and community partnership. Their enduring legacy deserves respect and recognition.Unfortunately, recent actions by the Biden administration have disregarded this invaluable heritage by approving Scotts Valley’s illegal land grab and gaming project.

The Scotts Valley Band hails from Clear Lake, nearly a hundred miles away from Vallejo. In Clear Lake, they have a headquarters, own property, and run businesses (which received federal support).Under oath, Scotts Valley has admitted that Clear Lake is their homelandand none of their historic villages are anywhere near Vallejo.Despite this, they exploited a loophole in the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, meant to help landless tribes regain historical lands, to snatch territory far from their origins for the sole purpose of building a casino.

Scotts Valley’s land grab was previously rejected by the Department of the Interior (DOI) under the first Trump administration in 2019.

Interestingly, Scotts Valley’s land grab was also rejected by previous Democrat administrations in 2012 and 2016. Such bipartisan consensus is truly rare in this day and age.

Ignoring this consensus, in its final days in office the Biden administration approved the project. In doing so, it reversed the Trump administration’s well-reasoned 2019 decision. It also ignored the evidence submitted by city and country governments, as well as local tribes. In fact, the Biden administration decision expressly states, on its face, that submissions by concerned tribes were not considered.

It is important to note the Biden administration’s brazen exclusion of tribal voices from its decision-making.The administration claimed to have adopted a policy of “protecting tribes in their homelands.”

But it gave away the homelands of federally-recognized Patwin tribeswithout giving their evidence so much as a look, much less any “protection” worthy of the term. Requests for a fair and transparent process were ignored, as were thousands of pages of historical documentation submitted by tribal stakeholders. This is just one example of the duplicity which undermined many Biden-era pronouncements.

With the end of the Biden administration, there is a renewed sense of hope for genuine transparency in federal policy toward tribal governments and their homeland.President Donald Trump and Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum possess strength and clarity to reverse the harmful actionsof the previous administration. In fact, the Trump administration has already issued a notice of its intent to reconsider the wrongful decision made by Biden’s team, expressing concern that significant evidence submitted by interested parties – including local Patwin tribes – was not considered when approving Scotts Valley’s land grab. This decisive action signals a return to respecting the rule of law and the rights of the true protectors of the land.

While Scotts Valley is predictably fighting this move in court, the commitment of President Trump and Secretary Burgum to a fair and transparent process offers a welcome path forward.Under their leadership, we will restore faith in the system, honor the heritage of the Patwin people, and begin repairing some of the damage caused by the Biden administration’s eleventh-hour decisions.

President Trump won a major legal victory Wednesday in his defamation lawsuit against the Pulitzer Prize Board.

Trump sued the disgraced Pulitzer board in December of 2022 for defamation after the board defended its decision to award its 2018 Pulitzer Prize jointly to the far-left New York Times and Washington Post.

Incredibly, those Pulitzers were awarded for the left-wing outlets’ coverage of the 2016 Russia Collusion Hoax. As we all now know (and some of us knew then), the Times and Post got the story 100-percent wrong.

In 2019, after the Mueller Report exonerated him, Trump said, “If the Pulitzer Prize has become a blatant acknowledgement of false, liberal political propaganda, then the Pulitzer Board should just say so.”

In October of 2021, Trump called on the Pulitzer Board to rescind these Pulitzers due to

the Post and Times engaging in “false reporting of a non-existent link between the Kremlin and the Trump Campaign.”

He added that, “Instead of acting with integrity and providing transparency, the Pulitzer Board is running cover for the biggest reporting failure in modern history: the fake Russia Russia Russia collusion hoax.”

In 2022, Trump called on the Times and Post to do the right thing and return the undeserved awards.

“These outlets should hand back their prizes without notification from Pulitzer, which would be the honorable thing to do,” he wrote on Truth Social at the time.

Naturally, the Times and Post refused.

Then the Pulitzer Board stupidly jumped into the melee and released a statement claiming an independent review found that “no passages or headlines, contentions or assertions in any of the winning submissions were discredited by facts that emerged subsequent to the conferral of the prizes.”

So Trump filed suit in December of 2022,and now the Pulitzer Board has lost two motions: one motion to dismiss in July of 2024 and this most recent motion to postpone until Trump leaves the Oval Office in 2028.

The opinion said:When the President is a willing participant, courts do not risk improperly interfering with the essential functioning of government. The President — by virtue of his exceptional position — is uniquely equipped to determine how to use his time, to assess the attention a lawsuit will require, and to decide whether the lawsuit will divert him from his official business.When an officeholder chooses to initiate litigation, courts must assume the officeholder already has weighed the burdens on their official duties.

Courts should focus only on real burdens raised by the Executive as a plaintiff,not those hypothesized by any defendants. Whether the pursuit of this litigation is in his best interests, or consistent with the responsibilities of his office, is exclusively within Respondent’s purview.Therefore, the petition for review is denied. The Pulitzer Board has every right to hand out awards to news outlets that tell the lies the Pulitzer Board wants told. So, the arrogant Pulitzer Board should have left it at that by remaining silent in the face of Trump’s valid accusations.

But these arrogant leftists decided to spread their own lies with the absurd and defamatory claim that the Russia Collusion reporting from the Post and Times was 100-percent correct.

That was all the opening Trump required to file suit.

Discovery should be glorious.

Trump celebrated this legal victory with a Truth Social post:

“Now they admit it was a SCAM, never happened, and their reporting was totally wrong, in fact, the exact opposite of the TRUTH,” he added.“They’ll have to give back their ‘Award.’ They were awarded for false reporting, and we can’t let that happen in the United States of America.”

No other Republican president would have made the Pulitzer Board, Facebook, ABC News, and CBS News pay this kind of price for their corruption.

Nolte: Trump Rejects CBS News $15 Million Settlement Offer

President Trump has rejected a $15 million offer from CBS News to settle his $20 billion election interference lawsuit.

According to the far-left Wall Street Journal, a month into settlement negotiations through arbitration, CBS News’ parent company, Paramount Global, offered to settle the suit for $15 million, only to be rejected by Team Trump.The Donald wants at least $25 millionand a sweet-sweet-humiliating apology.

Keep in mind,this is all happening up against the kind of drama only seen in movies.

Trump filed a $10 billion lawsuit against CBS News late last year after the disgraced 60 Minutes blatantly interfered in the 2024 presidential election with a malicious edit. In order to make Trump’s opponent, then Vice President Kamala Harris, appear smart, 60 Minutes removed a word salad answer she gave about Israel and replaced it with an answer that sounded somewhat coherent and even decisive.

Keep in mind that CBS benefits greatly from its free use of air waves owned by the public. Therefore, CBS is required to serve the public, not deceive the public, which is exactly what happened here.

Trump laterboosted his suit to $20 billion.

The fake media continue to claim that legal “experts”say the suit is frivolous, but the judge who refused to toss the suit out disagreed. Remember, an “expert” is whoever tells the regime media what they want to hear.

The drama is three-fold…

First, Paramount Global is desperate to merge with Skydance Media. The $8 billion merger must not only be approved by the FCC, Skydance has no desire to merge until the suit is settled. Trump’s suit is not only valid, but he has CBS over a barrel.

The second part of this delicious drama is the threat of Trump filing a second suit against CBS, this time a defamation suit over a 60 Minutes story thataired last week where Trump was compared to a “mob boss.”

The third part of the drama is the best part: turmoil, tears, and uncertainty at CBS News and 60 Minutes. The disgraced show’s executive editor has already resigned. The president of CBS News has resigned. Skydance is threatening major changes to CBS News, which has become a major liability when it comes to credibility and ratings.

The news that CBS has offered to settle for $15 million will only increase the turmoil and unhappiness at CBS News, and those serial liars deserve all the turmoil and tears Trump can rain down on them.
