There is only one solution, and it is not pretty.
The FBI does nothing these days for the ordinary American.
They have gigantic field offices which in some cases resemble a National Guard Armory. Look at the Sacramento Field office as an example.
You must close the FBI down. Move it from Washington DC, and I don't mean to Virginia or Maryland. Move it to North Dakota, or Nebraska. Some place where there is still a patriotic and law abiding citizenry,
Reopen and only accept new hires. Only recruit from sheriff departments, and perhaps, let the US Marshals help with the transition.
If America has a rogue FBI, that is no different than a government run, domestic terrorist syndicate.
We have this time, in our countries life, to change what needs to be changed. After 250 years, we have some loose ends to clean up, and some hulls to repaint. Do your best, but do what must be done.
