President Trump’s new legislative centerpiece—the One Big Beautiful Bill—has a promising name and some compelling goals: reduce government bloat, streamline agencies, and modernize operations with cutting-edge technology.

But there’s a problem. A big one.

No one will tell us who’s programming the AI.

This sweeping bill includes a 10-year moratorium on any state or local government regulating artificial intelligence. According to The Washington Post and AP, more than 60 existing state-level laws will be overridden if this provision passes. All regulatory authority over AI—including systems that will be used in law enforcement, healthcare, defense, and finance—will be centralized in the federal government for a decade.

Even worse? The bill empowers the Department of Commerce to deploy “commercial AI” across virtually every federal agency—from the IRS to Homeland Security—according to Indian Express and The Verge.

And yet, no one in the White House or Congress has revealed who is writing the AI code, what datasets it’s trained on, whether it can be independently audited, or whether it’s bound by the U.S. Constitution.

This isn’t just a transparency issue. This is a constitutional crisis in the making.

To be clear, President Trump’s instincts here may be sound. We’ve long needed to shrink the federal leviathan and replace unconstitutional bureaucracies with systems that serve the people—not special interests.

But good intentions won’t protect us from unseen programmers, black-box algorithms, and unaccountable automation.

This bill mandates AI integration across government “to improve efficiency and security.” But efficiency isn’t liberty. Security isn’t sovereignty. And no AI—no matter how “smart”—should be allowed to rewrite, ignore, or reinterpret constitutional rights.

According to Business Insider, the AI moratorium’s stated goal is to “foster innovation” and avoid a “fragmented regulatory landscape.” In reality, it strips states of their authority to protect their citizens from deepfakes, algorithmic bias, digital censorship, and mass surveillance.

This is not governance. This is outsourced tyranny, hidden under the guise of modernization.

Kellogg Calls Russia's NATO Concerns 'Fair' - Warns Ukraine It Better Show Up In Istanbul

Moscow this week demanded of the West a written commitment to stop further enlargement, especially when it comes to the potential for Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia one day entering the NATO alliance. "It’s a fair concern and we’ve said that repeatedly… that to us Ukraine coming into NATO is not on the table," Kellogg said.

"And they're not just talking Ukraine – they're talking the country of Georgia, they're talking Moldova, they're talking, obviously, Ukraine," the top Trump envoy stated.

"We’re saying: okay, comprehensively we can stop the expansion of NATO coming close to your border," Kellogg added, noting that such a move would ultimately require a presidential-level decision.

This appears a clear affirmation that Washington is ready to do this as part of ongoing negotiations - but the big question will be whether other powerful members of the alliance are ready to sign off. After all, there is currently a 'coalition of the willing' led by the UK, France, and Germany which has somewhat broken with the US on these matters.

This week, the written guarantees and other conditions Moscow has requested have been spelled out in English-language Russian state media as follows:

And then an or else was offered as part of an ultimatum. While not officially issued by the Kremlin, this appears some very intentional signaling by Putin officials. It was conveyed via a Wednesday Reuters report:

The first source said that, if Putin realizes he is unable to reach a peace deal on his own terms, he will seek to show the Ukrainians and the Europeans through military strength that "peace tomorrow will be even more painful."

Kiev accused of systematic torture of Russian prisoners

Returned soldiers have alleged sadistic abuse while in Ukrainian custody

Ukraine has established a dehumanizing system of torture targeting captured Russian military personnel, a human rights advocate has claimed.

Maksim Grigoriev, who chairs an international commission investigating alleged Ukrainian government crimes, said his findings were based on extensive testimonies from Russian soldiers released in prisoner exchanges. He presented a report quoting statements from 30 individuals on Friday.

Grigoriev said the widespread nature of the alleged abuse indicates “a deliberate systematic practice of constant torture,” amounting to a crime against humanity. He claimed the purpose was not intelligence-gathering but rather the dehumanization of Russian captives, adding that violence was often inflicted out of malice.

Former detainees described beatings and various forms of abuse they say occurred while in Ukrainian custody. The report cites waterboarding, electrocution, and the use of attack dogs against prisoners as common methods.

Some testimonies included accounts of sexualized violence. One soldier alleged that his captors contemplated castrating him and pumping construction foam into his rectum. Another said inmates were forced to urinate on each other.

Several witnesses claimed Ukrainian personnel seemed to take pleasure in the abuse. One soldier, Vladimir Palitsin, said a man beat him with a metal rod: “He was hitting me and smiling. He was happy.” Others said Ukrainian medical staff treated injuries without anesthesia as a method of torture.

Grigoriev compared the alleged brutality to that of “Western-managed” dictatorships in Latin America and elsewhere. He noted that a torture room at one Ukrainian facility was nicknamed ‘Baghdad’, a possible reference to the US military presence in Iraq. The administration of former US President George W. Bush authorized the so-called ‘enhanced interrogation’ of prisoners during its ‘war on terror’ in the Middle East.

Russia and Ukraine each released 1,000 prisoners earlier this month in a coordinated exchange. During the report’s presentation, Russian lawmaker Andrey Kartapolov addressed Ukrainian criticism that members of the controversial neo-Nazi Azov unit were excluded from the swap, stating: “They are criminals, to the last man.”

“They are not hiding this fact. And we have no intention to forgive them,” Kartapolov added.

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova joined the press conference remotely, describing Grigoriev’s report as “yet another step towards justice.”

To which Horton replied point-by-point:

U.S. and Western interventions (via USAID, NED, IRI, NDI, Soros orgs) aimed to provoke regime change in Iran, such as the 2009 Green Revolution, prompting Iran’s fear and secrecy.

Natanz facility secrecy was due to Iran being blocked by the Nuclear Suppliers Group from purchasing legal nuclear technology, forcing it to buy from AQ Khan’s black market network.

The discovery of Natanz was not initially by Israeli intelligence or the MEK, but by David Albright, an American nuclear expert.

MEK (Mujahideen-e-Khalq), cited in claims of exposing Iran’s nuclear program, is described as a “communist terrorist cult” with a history of switching allegiances and spreading false intelligence.

The claim about Iran developing nuclear triggers at Parchin is refuted:

The scientist involved was Igor Danchenko, an expert in nano-diamonds, not nuclear weapons.

There is no credible evidence linking him to nuclear weapons research.

The 2007 U.S. National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) concluded that Iran halted its nuclear weapons program, largely due to the removal of Saddam Hussein, which eliminated Iran’s primary deterrent need.

Israel itself engaged in nuclear espionage, including stealing Krytrons (nuclear triggers) from the U.S., highlighting hypocrisy in Israeli accusations.

The 1983 Beirut bombing:

Occurred 42 years ago and was carried out by proto-Hezbollah, not directly ordered by Tehran.

Israel was aware of the attack but didn’t warn the U.S., according to former Israeli spy Victor Ostrovsky.

The Khobar Towers bombing (1996):

Attributed to al-Qaeda, not Iran. Specifically, Osama bin Laden and Khalid Sheikh Mohammed were responsible.

CIA experts, including Michael Scheuer, and bin Laden himself, confirmed this.

The 2011 Washington D.C. restaurant plot:

Dismissed as a hoax involving a used car salesman with no real ties to the Iranian regime.

The target was a minor diplomat, and the plot was more of a drug deal gone wrong than a genuine Iranian terror plot.

Alleged threats to chief Russian negotiator’s family ‘outrageous’ – Kremlin

Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said investigators are working to find out where the messages to Vladimir Medinsky are coming from

Alleged threats being made against Russia’s chief negotiator Vladimir Medinsky and his family are “outrageous,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday, noting that authorities are already working to determine their source.

His remarks come after TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov recently stated that Medinsky – who led Russia’s delegation at the peace talks with Ukraine in Istanbul earlier this month – was receiving death threats from the Ukrainian side. His family was also allegedly targeted.

Peskov called the situation “unprecedented” and said that if investigators find that threats are coming from Ukraine, it would be “utterly outrageous,” particularly as Moscow has offered to hold another round of negotiations next Monday.

According to Solovyov, the threats are coming from Ukrainian nationalists, who have even targeted Medinsky’s children. He claimed that the negotiator’s family has received messages such as “we know where your children are and we have a lot of explosive-packed scooters.”

Several terrorist attacks involving electric scooters have taken place in the past, including the December 2024 murder of Igor Kirillov, the head of Russia’s Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Defense Forces.

Solovyov also recalled that “there were cases when negotiators were threatened, and there were tragic cases, and they are well known.” One such case could involve Ukrainian banker Denys Kireyev, who was killed in March 2022 shortly after participating in early peace talks with Russia.

Solovyov said that Medinsky had personally discussed the issue with Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, who was the head of Kiev’s delegation in Istanbul. He reportedly insisted to Medinsky that the alleged threats were not coming from Ukrainian authorities.

Following Solovyov’s claims, the head of Russia’s Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin ordered the opening of a criminal case to identify the persons involved in threatening Medinsky’s family.

Moscow and Kiev have been working on their own draft memorandums outlining a path towards a peaceful settlement. Earlier this month, the two sides met for the first time since peace negotiations collapsed in 2022.

On Wednesday, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov proposed holding the next round of talks on Monday, June 2, in Istanbul. Umerov has responded by stating that Kiev first expects to receive Moscow’s draft memorandum so that the meeting is not “empty.”

Over 400 Hollywood professionals, including actor Jerry O’Connell and actress Julianna Margulies, have signed an open letter calling for an end to extreme anti-Israel rhetoric.

Released by the nonprofit Creative Community for Peace on Wednesday, the letter came in response to the killing of two Israeli Embassy staffers at the Capital Jewish Museum shooting in Washington, D.C., last week. While it acknowledged “well-meaning celebrities and public figures” who sympathize with Palestinians, the signatories felt that they were “manipulated” by misinformation.

“Hamas, Iran and their allies and ideological sympathizers in the West have flooded the world with their hateful lies and antisemitic incitement since Oct. 7 — lies designed to demonize Israel, the Jewish people and their supporters,” the letter said. “Some well-meaning celebrities and public figures have been manipulated by this constant stream of misinformation, which they have also helped to amplify.”

The letter went on to cite how anti-Israel and broader anti-Jewish rhetoric led to the deaths of two Israeli embassy staffers by a radicalized American last week.

“I did it for Gaza,” alleged shooter Elias Rodriguez, a Chicago resident, said after the two staffers were gunned down.

It also noted how Hamas has been using the citizens of Gaza as human shields.

The letter included signatures from the likes of Mayim Bialik, Sharon Osbourne, Patricia Heaton, Sherry Lansing, Haim Saban, Rebecca De Mornay, Fred Savage, Ben Silverman and Debra Messing.

In a statement through the organization’s press release, actress Mayim Bialik (The Big Bang Theory) said that “peddling lies about Jews has deadly consequences.”

“For the past two years, public figures and influencers with millions of followers have consistently promoted fallacious and menacing anti-Israel propaganda masquerading as advocacy,” Bialik said. “This stream of lies against the Jewish people and the Jewish ancestral homeland has now – unsurprisingly to anyone watching closely – turned deadly in the United States.”

“This moment requires public figures to use their platforms responsibly. We implore these individuals to lend their voices to those of moral clarity, peace and tolerance, instead of division, distortion and delegitimization,” she added.

CCFP co-founder and chairman David Renzer and executive director Ari Ingel said in a joint statement that the anti-Israel movement has led to a “toxic mix of distortion, bigotry and incitement.”

“Given the power of social media, it’s incumbent on entertainers and public figures, with their ability to influence millions around the world, to use their platforms responsibly. Without a course correction, we will only see more hate, more violence, and more innocent people targeted simply for being Jewish,” the pair said.

Surveillance video from disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein's first suspected suicide attempt was destroyed by accident, prosecutors say.

US prosecutors say the jail mistakenly saved footage from the wrong cell.

Epstein, a convicted sex offender, first tried to kill himself in July last year, then hanged himself in jail in August while awaiting trial on federal sex-trafficking charges.

He had pleaded not guilty to abusing dozens of girls, some as young as 14.

Soon after Epstein's death, in August, two of the CCTV cameras outside his cell had malfunctioned and were being examined by the FBI, US media reported.

Rep. Thomas Massie: 'We Should End All U.S. Military Aid to Israel Now'

As I reported in December 2023, Israel opened its war on Gaza by killing children in Gaza at a rate 100 times that of Russia in its war with Ukraine.

Polls have showed since the start of the war up until the present that the majority of Americans want no part in Israel's wars.

A CBS News/YouGov poll taken just over a week after the October 7th attack found that the majority of Americans were against sending the Jewish state any "weapons or supplies."

A recent Gallup poll found support for Israel is the lowest it has ever been in 25 years of polling Americans on the issue. Another recent poll from Pew Research found that "more than half of U.S. adults (53%) now express an unfavorable opinion of Israel, up from 42% in March 2022."

Nonetheless, Israel has overwhelming support among "our" representatives who keep voting to fund their genocide campaign in Gaza to please their "AIPAC babysitters."

That's why they're pushing Congress and the White House to eliminate Americans' free speech rights by making it illegal to criticize Jews and Israel and protest against the genocide Israel is committing in Gaza.

It's also why they pushed Congress to pass an unprecedented ban on TikTok.

The Israelis know that a decoupling is baked in the cake due to demographic trends and collapsing polling numbers (for which they have only themselves to blame) and that's why they want the next multibillion dollar US aid package for the Jewish state to "span 25 years, rather than 10" in order to "insulate the relationship against future US political vagaries and uncertainties."

There's no better time to bring this "special relationship" to an end than now.

Israeli Mossad named as funder of Gaza Humanitarian Foundation

Top Israeli lawmakers have accused their government of laundering massive sums through a shadowy network of US humanitarian and mercenary orgs. The weaponized aid initiative is the linchpin of Israel’s plan to ethnically cleanse northern Gaza by forcing the starving population into concentration camp-like hubs.

Israel’s scheme to commandeer aid distribution in Gaza ended in chaos on May 27, with Israeli soldiers reportedly opening fire on stampeding crowds of hungry Palestinians after just 8000 boxes of rations were handed out by an opaque organization calling itself the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF).

Founded this February in Switzerland under a cloud of mystery, GHF serves as an umbrella for a network of private mercenary firms which Israel is using to supplant the role of the United Nations in feeding Palestinians after bringing them to the brink of starvation.

At the moment, the public has no idea who is funding the opaque aid boondoggle. A GHF spokesman told the Washington Post “the foundation has already secured $100 million from an undisclosed donor.”

Right-wing Israeli opposition figure and Member of Knesset Avigdor Lieberman proclaimed that GHF’s mysterious financial angel was, in fact, the Israeli government. “The money for humanitarian aid comes from the Mossad and the Ministry of Defense,” Lieberman wrote on Twitter/X, complaining, “Hundreds of millions of dollars at the expense of Israeli citizens.”

Yair Lapid, a Member of Knesset and de facto leader of Israel’s loyal opposition, has accused the Israeli government of funding two “shell companies,” pointing to GHF and the private mercenary firm, Safe Reach Solutions, which was founded by former CIA field operative Phillip Reilly. Two former US officials told the Qatari-owned outlet Middle East Eye that Reilly “had won the trust of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and several Israeli businessmen close to him.”

If true, this would mean Israel’s military-intelligence apparatus is effectively laundering massive sums of money through a weaponized aid scheme that forms the linchpin of its plan to ethnically cleanse northern Gaza. A leaked internal GHF document acknowledged that the food distribution centers and residential compounds it was constructing in Gaza could be perceived as “‘concentration camps’ with biometrics.’”

The GHF model appears integral to Israel’s stated plan to occupy 75% of the Gaza Strip, forcing starving and homeless Palestinians into what its military has branded as “humanitarian islands” designed to “divide and rule” the decimated enclave. It is also a clear attempt at replacing UNRWA, the United Nations agency that has tended to the needs of Gaza’s refugee population since 1949, and which the Israeli Knesset designated as a terrorist organization in 2024.

Later, she admitted — under oath — that Ukraine has “biological research facilities” overseen by the US. The Russian military and, separately, independent American journalists, including John Mark Dougan and John Cullen, found evidence of biowarfare experiments.

ISW’s "analysis" whitewashes this history, framing every Russian response as "unprovoked aggression" while ignoring a decade of NATO expansion, political meddling, and arming of Ukraine, according to the pundit.

New Israeli Law Allows Palestinians as Young as 12 to Be Imprisoned for Life

The experts say that the law, passed late last year, is crafted specifically to target Palestinian children, as Israeli authorities often accuse Palestinian children of terrorism while not charging Israeli children the same way — one fixture of Israel’s apartheid system.

“[A]uthorizing up to life imprisonment for children as young as 12 years old is not consistent with international law,” the experts wrote in a statement this month. “Under [the Convention on the Rights of the Child], the arrest, detention or imprisonment of a child must be used only as a measure of last resort and for the shortest appropriate period of time.”

The statement was signed by UN special rapporteur for the occupied Palestine territory, Francesca Albanese, as well as Ben Saul, special rapporteur on the promotion of human rights in counterterrorism; Farida Shaheed, special rapporteur on the right to education; and K.P. Ashwini, special rapporteur on racism and intolerance.

Israel often accuses children of terrorism for actions like throwing stones at Israeli soldiers or at cars, with Israeli forces killing many children for stone throwing over the decades and Israeli lawmakers passing a minimum sentence of three years for the act.

Israeli officials have also long framed all Palestinians, including children, as terrorists.

This has led to the detention and killing of huge numbers of Palestinian children under Israeli occupation. According to a recent report by Defense for Children International-Palestine (DCIP), the proportion of children in administrative detention — meaning that they are being held without charges — has reached a record high amid Israel’s genocide.

Citing numbers from the Israeli Prison Service, DCIP reports that nearly 40 percent of Palestinian children detained in Israeli prisons are being held without charges. This amounts to 119 of the 323 imprisoned by Israeli authorities, which represents “both the highest number and the highest proportion” in DCIP’s records on administrative detention.

“These figures highlight Israel’s continued criminalization of Palestinian childhood and its deepening disregard for fundamental legal protections,” the group wrote, adding that children and their families are frequently forbidden from contacting their lawyers by Israeli authorities.

The Israeli Knesset has sought to further punish these families in another recent law condemned in the UN experts’ statement.

That law, passed last year, allows child welfare benefits to be taken away if children are convicted of terrorist offenses. Experts say that the legislation is “overbroad” and not backed by evidence that such a punishment would deter supposed terrorist acts.

“We note that Israeli law does not withdraw benefits from children convicted of other serious offences, suggesting that the Amendment does not legitimately aim to suspend benefits that may be unnecessary while the child is in detention, but serves an ulterior punitive purpose,” the experts wrote.

This legislation, too, is aimed at punishing Palestinian children and their families, experts say, and is likely a violation of international law.

Possible Trump pardon

President Trump has in recent days pardoned several people on federal charges including two reality TV stars and the rapper NBA YoungBoy. It’s not the first rapper he’s pardoned.

In the Oval Office on Friday, President Trump was asked if Combs might also receive a pardon given his case is in federal, court.

He replied that he had not been following the trial but he would “certainly look at the facts”.

“Nobody’s asked” he added but “people are thinking about it”.

Combs appeared in a 2012 episode of reality show The Apprentice where Mr Trump, in his role as host, called the star “a good friend of mine” and “a good guy”.
