My local Department is hosting a public luncheon in a few weeks as a 'public outreach' and chance to hobnob and chat face to face with members of the local patrol. On one hand i find it commendable and appropriate to so openly offer the general public a chance to air some grievances (stemming from behavior during Covid and the horrible handling of DEI/WOKE/Transgender issues inside the School Board).

I intend to sit quietly and observe and listen acutely.

On the other handโ€ฆ i am aware that dirt inside the Department has NOT been cleaned out.

Will the local LEO representatives honestly admit their faults, shortcomings and lack of understanding to their Oath, or will they simply be trying to deflect/cloud the issues with shills in the audience shouting "THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE, you Brave, Courageous and Heroic First Responders!!!" ?

My expectations are low, but I sincerely want to find peaceful, healthy and lawful resolution to this massive issue.

Please offer some suggestions/questions to ask them.

>pistol securely on your hip and a camera in hand

And several extra copies of pocket constitution for anyone in need.

That is me everyday, many of them know me well and know exactly how i already feel. Maybe there are officers on the inside trying their best (same as Trump, Kash and Dan???), and all i can do i keep reminding them i offer any possible assistance if they were to ever ask. For the past several years, everything has been noticeably mum.

The worst dirt is at the top

but like so many other locations and municipalities around the country, the LEO Departments have ample coverage by the local DAs and Courts and County Bureaucracies.

PLUS a massive local demographic of NGOplex Karens and Darens with 911 on their speed dial

and Benevolence Fund stickers on the back of their cars.

It is a mess in every direction.
