George Washington's army, the Continental Army, acquired weapons from a variety of sources during the Revolutionary War. While there's a common misconception that the army relied heavily on Moroccan assistance for weapons, that's not entirely accurate. Morocco did, in fact, support the Continental Army, but not primarily through the supply of weapons, according to an article on Fitchburg State University.
