German Chancellor Friedrich Merz to Meet with President Trump in White House Next Week

May 31, 2025 | Sundance1/2

Next week on Thursday, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz is scheduled to travel to Washington DC and meet with President Donald Trump in the White House. Considering the importance of Germany to the EU economy and subsequent trade relationship with the U.S,this meeting with Merz will likely be the most important discussion toward a possible U.S-E.U. trade agreement.

Germany is the largest economy within the EU and the core industrial base of the European Union. The number one issue for the German people is their economic status: everything else circles around this priority.

Having spent time in Hamburg, Bremen, Dresden and Frankfurt, it is very clear to me the German people are very focused on work and their vocations. Germans overall, take their economic standing very personally and seriously.

Inasmuch as Merz may have to represent the interests of the larger EU in his approach, he will undoubtedly be focused on what is in Germany’s best interest, with all else second.

For President Trump this specific German interest creates a unique facet of leverage within the larger EU trade discussion. Because the German economy is so vital, whatever terms Germany decides are the core terms the EU will manifest in their trade and tariff negotiations.

I predict we will hear a talking point from Merz, in generally German snark, something akin to a proposal for a zero-tariff base on the import and export of heavy industrial goods (machinery) for both Germany and the USA. I say in general German snark because passive-aggressive Chancellor Merz knows the U.S. is currently not in a position to sell Germany heavy industrial goods, and that’s entirely what President Trump is trying to recreate with the trade/tariff policy.

WASHINGTON DC – German Chancellor Friedrich Merz will travel to Washington next week to meet United States President Donald Trump for the first time since taking office earlier this month.

The leaders will meet in the White House on Thursday and are expected to discuss the war in Ukraine, the Middle East and trade policy, German government spokesperson Stefan Kornelius said in an emailed statement.

Merz will travel to the U.S. capital a day ahead of the meeting, according to broadcaster n-tv. The meeting will be followed by a lunch and a press conference, according to the report. (read more)

Recently Merz has also walked further forward in his support for Ukraine, including his willingness to provide missiles and approve their use for strikes into the Russian mainland. On this issue Merz is in a tenuous place domestically. The German people care more about their economic status than they do supporting Ukraine as a proxy war against the Russian Federation.

In addition to the trade and Ukraine issues, ChancellorMerz is also in conflict with the Trump administration as it pertains to cultural and political expressions of free speech in Germany.

The oppressive German system of politicshas been ramping up a more oppressive footing toward the nationalistic voices inside the country. The opposition (AfD) who does not support the EU status vociferously enough, is now a target of the German political machine.

Both Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio have publicly called out the German government for oppressive positions against their own citizens. Merz has pushed back against Rubio and Vance by telling them to stay out of German politics. (The nice thing with having Vance and Rubio representing PDJT they can address the problems in Europe, Trump doesn’t have to insult world leaders anyone, he can just compliment them!)

This will be an interesting meeting to watch closely next week.

(This guy is as close to a Nazi one can get.)

Was Biden Secretly Swapped With a Clone/Robot? (And If So, Why Such a Crappy Clone/Robot?)

Scott Pinsker June 1, 20251/2

Sure, as far as conspiracy theories go, it’s no “Paul Is Dead,” but our 2025 timeline is what it is, and we’ve gotta make the best of it. Thus, as of late last night, a brand-new conspiracy theory has bedazzled the nation: Was Joe Biden secretly swapped with a clone and/or robotic lookalike in 2020?

Because, ‘round midnight Eastern Standard Time, President Donald J. Trump re-Tweeted (Re-Truthed?) the following:

Truth post

Incidentally, his very next posting was a plug for David Mamet:

Truth post

But back to the Biden-clone-robot-thingy: Naturally, this has outraged the mainstream media!Newsweek was tricked into revealing its lack of respect for its readership’s grey matter when it felt it was necessary to forewarn them: “Donald Trump Shares Baseless Conspiracy That Biden Was ‘Executed in 2020.’” [emphasis added]

Ah, thanks for letting us all know the conspiracy is ‘baseless.’ Appreciate the heads up, guys! Guess that’s why you’re the experts! (Although, if you stop and think about it, Newsweek’s headline only says the part about Biden being executed in 2020was baseless. Which sort of implies that the clone-robot-thingy might still be true? Hmm… I demand answers!)

Have no fear, Newsweek is here to set the record straight:

There is no credible evidence to support any part of this [Biden-was-executed and/or clone-robot-thingy] claim. Biden has made numerous live public appearances, participated in unscripted press conferences, and engaged in direct interactions with world leaders, all of which would be impossible to convincingly fake with current technology. Additionally, such an extensive cover-up would require the complicity of thousands of people across the political spectrum, including Republicans, journalists, and foreign officials—an implausible scenario.

Trump's repost comes shortly after the news that former President Biden had been diagnosed with prostate cancer, which his office has characterized as aggressive but still allowing for effective treatment. Since the diagnosis, questions have emerged as to why the cancer was not detected earlier, as well as theories that his condition was covered up during his presidency and may have contributed to a perceived cognitive decline and his weak performance in the June presidential debate versus Trump.

Well, there you go.

Here’s a quick thought experiment: The average human brain has 86 billion neurons. Over time — or because of disease —those neurons will die. In the near future, nanotechnology will (likely) let us swap a dead neuron with a cyber-replacement. And that’s a wonderful thing: Cognitive decline is frickin’ horrible. Finding a long-term cure would be a godsend for countless families.

Now, if just one of your 86 billion neurons was swapped with a cyber one, you’re still “you.” I’ll bet you’d feel exactly the same. After all, one out of 86 billion is a very low ratio.

But what happens if, say, a million neurons are swapped? Or a billion? Is there a threshold where “you” fundamentally change?

https://pjmedia.com/scott-pinsker/2025/06/01/was-biden-secretly-swapped-with-a-clonerobot-and-if-so-why-such-a-crappy-clonerobot-n4940340

2/2

If René Descartes was right — “I think, therefore I am” — then what happens when over 50% of your brain is no longer “your” brain? At what point does our Ship of Theseus sink into the sea — and “you” are no longer you?

And this brings us back to ex-President Biden and his mental unraveling. While the Newsweeks of the media world are kicking, screaming, and gnashing their teeth over this “baseless” Trump claim, the underlying truth hasn’t changed a whit:

The Joe Biden we saw at the end of 2024 sure as Hell wasn’t the same Joe Biden we saw in the beginning of 2020.

Why is that and how did it happen?

Because the Biden family, the Democratic Party leadership, and the mainstream media were either willfully ignorant of intentionally deceitful, and they conspired to hide Joe Biden’s true condition from the American people.

Sometimes, President Trump toys with the media, treating ‘em like housecats. His social media posts are political catnip; he’s aiming a laser pointer — which the media can’t resist chasing — and giggling to himself as they continually smash their faces against the wall.

==It’s a compulsion: They can’t resist the Great Orange Siren.=

But most of the time, there’s a method to Trump’s so-called madness. Rush Limbaugh used to call it “illustrating absurdity by being absurd.” It’s a very specific form of social commentary, where you ridicule what’s already ridiculous, forcing your opponents to defend what’s clearly indefensible.

With just a few late-night postings, Trump shined his laser-pointer back on Joe Biden’s condition. And, in their madcap zeal to discredit all-things-Trump, the media took the bait: “Hey, Biden is absolutely NOT a robot clone! He’s just… senile!”

Thanks, guys.

VIDEO: John Bolton Vows to Resurrect USAID Post-Trump

BENJAMIN BARTEE 22 AM ON JUNE 01, 2025

(BOLTON HAS STAGE 4 BRAIN CANCER HE’LL BE DEAD BEFORE GETTING ANYONE TO JOIN HIM.)

As a committed interventionist,John Bolton is, you’ll be shocked to learn, not on board with eliminating the Deep State’s cash cow that is USAID.

In voicing his dissatisfaction with the work of DOGE vis-à-vis USAID, he also pledged to bring back Voice of America, the U.S. government’s global propaganda machine. (For the last decade and longer, prior to its dismantling by the Trump administration, Voice of America had also distributed its content domestically, explicitly targeted at a domestic audience, illegally.)

I speak as an alumnus of AID in the Reagan administration back when we were trying to reform it… This idea of using economic assistance to influence events in other countries is an old, old phenomenon…

After eight years of Obama and then four more years of Biden, there were plenty of things to reform in USAID…

I’m entirely on board with the idea that change was needed. But what they did was like the briefing officer in Vietnam who said ‘we had to destroy that village in order to save it.’ You know, it’s not the most persuasive thing to do…

We’re going to build these capabilities back, I’ll guarantee, in some future administration. The total cost of destroying them and then building them back may well be higher than if we just tried to reform them internally… But that’s part of the cost of the Trump administration.

Whatever play he might get on the #Resistance RINO media circuit,Bolton’s brand of neo-con interventionism isn’t likely to seduce GOP voters anytime soon.

On the Republican ticket in 2028, we’re likely to get J.D. Vance or Ron DeSantis in the next administration, neither of which seems likely to enthusiastically pursue the USAID resurrection scheme. The GOP House is even less enthusiastic about empowering the endless war machine and the Deep State.

Which means what Bolton is probably holding out hope for is an empty Democrat vessel who will do whatever the Blob insists upon, such as a Kamala Harris who dutifully paraded around Liz Cheney as a signal to the Deep State that she’s willing to co-sign anything the military-industrial complex desires.

Via USA Today, September 2024 (emphasis added):

Vice President Kamala Harris is taking a page out of Nikki Haley's playbook and hitting former President Donald Trump as weak on foreign policy in her latest attempt to win over disaffected Republicans and GOP-leaning independents.

Harris’ campaign released an ad that showcased former members of Trump’s national security team criticizing the ex-president, characterizing him a “danger to our troops and our democracy” and casting him as unfit for office…

The foreign policy-focused outreach is part of a concerted effort by the Harris campaign to win over voters who cast a ballot for Haley, a former United Nations ambassador who made foreign policy the centerpiece of her campaign, in the Republican presidential primary earlier this year.

Nikki Haley, despite having an extremely well-financed and publicized campaign in the legacy media, got absolutely trounced in her primary fight with Trump. Liz Cheney got run out office on a rail for her naked and craven subservience to the permanent ruling class.

All that to say: Best of luck, John.

Syrian leader threatened by militants who put him in power – WaPo

Ahmed al-Sharaa led a coalition of Islamist forces that toppled the previous government last November

The insurgents who toppled previous Syrian leader Bashar Assad’s government and brought new interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa to power could now threaten his political survival, the Washington Post wrote on Saturday.

Multiple militant groups led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) took power in Damascus late last year. They included thousands of foreign fighters who remain in Syria, some of whom have ties to extremist groups like Islamic State and other radical factions, the newspaper wrote.

While al-Sharaa “seems intent on keeping”some of them around as he courts Western support, the “hard-line Sunni Muslim militants”are already giving him trouble, WaPo wrote. Some of the militants were involved in massacres of Alawites along the Syrian coast in March, the outlet added. At least 1,300 people, including 973 civilians, were killed in the span of a few days, according to local media. Christian and Druze communities in Syria have also reportedly faced bloody sectarian violence since the change in power.

The most radical of the foreign Islamists are “turning their ire” on al-Sharaa, because the new presidenthas not implemented Sharia lawandallegedly cooperated with the US and Türkiye to target extremist factions in Syria, WaPo wrote.

Earlier in May, US President Donald Trump met with al-Sharaa and announced the lifting of sanctions, most of which had been imposed during the rule of Assad. Al-Sharaa has called Trump’s move “a historic and courageous decision, which alleviates the suffering of the people, contributes to their rebirth, and lays the foundations for stability in the region.”

Shortly after the Trump-Sharaa meeting, a top ideologue of Salafi jihadism, Abu Muhammad al-Maqdisi, issued a fatwa branding the new Syrian leader an “infidel.”

Syria remains a hotbed of extremist activity and could destabilize at any time, according to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The country has become “a playground for jihadist groups, including ISIS and others,” the top diplomat warned last week, adding that it could be “weeks – not many months – away from potential collapse and a full-scale civil war.”

Trains derailed by saboteurs in two Russian border regions: As it happened

Bridge collapses have derailed trains in two Russian regions, leaving at least seven people dead and multiple others wounded.

On Saturday evening, a bridge fell in front of a moving train in Bryansk Region, killing seven people and injuring 71 others. Several hours later, early on Sunday, a railway bridge collapsed under a moving freight train in Kursk Region, leaving the driver and two of his assistants wounded.

The Russian Investigative Committee said that both incidents were deliberate acts of sabotage.

The attacks targeting trains in Bryansk and Kursk regions are part of “a terroristic plan from the Ukrainian regime” to derail the talks scheduled to take place between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Türkiye on Monday, Italian war correspondent Andrea Lucidi has told RT.

"There are some groups of powers in Ukraine that would like to sabotage any attempt to reach a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine and they will make this through terrorism,” he said.

According to Lucidi, the Kiev authorities “need to explain why they would like to attend some meeting like the second round of peace talks in Istanbul and at the same time use terrorism as a weapon against the Russian people.”Such behavior looks like a manifestation of some “borderline psychological disease,” he added.

Kiev attacked military airfields in five Russian regions – MOD

Several aircraft were damaged and some of the perpetrators behind the attacks are in custody, the military has said

Military airfields across Russia have been attacked in a series of kamikaze drone strikes, the country's Defense Ministry reported on Sunday, blaming the incidents on Kiev. Most of the strikes were successfully repelled, with some resulting in material damage, it added.

Airfields were targeted in the Murmansk Region in the country’s north, in Ivanovo and Ryazan regions in central Russia as well as in Irkutsk Region in Siberia and Amur Region in the Far East, the ministry said. All the attacks employed first-person view (PFV) kamikaze drones, with some of them being launched from territories in close proximity to the airfields, it stated.

Some of the culprits behind the attacks have been detained, the ministry said, without revealing the number of those arrested or their identities. The Russian military also said that the “Kiev regime” was ultimately responsible for the strikes, which they described as “terrorist attacks.”

In Ivanovo, Ryazan, and Amur regions, the attacks were repelled and resulted in no damage or casualties, according to the ministry. In Murmansk and Irkutsk regions, the strikes led to some aircraft catching fire, the military said. No casualties have been reported in any of the incidents, according to the ministry’s data.

The Ukrainian media have claimed that the strikes were part of what they called a “historic”operation codenamed ‘Spiderweb.” According to the reports, the strikes had been prepared for more a year and a half and targeted Russia’s “strategic aviation.”

Channel 24 in Ukraine published a photo of the head of the country’s domestic security service (SBU), Vasily Malyuk, looking at what they said were maps of five Russian military airfields. The photo was released by the SBU itself, the media stated.

Ukraine plugs its Western-made weapons into ‘NATO Wi-Fi’

The country has joined a system that links its F-16s, Mirage 2000s, and Patriot missile launchers to the bloc’s military infrastructure

Kiev has been allowed to join a NATO-standard coordination network which connects together Western-made military hardware, Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Katerina Chernohorenko has announced. The system, in particular, is compatible with F-16s and Mirage 2000 fighter jets.

On Saturday, Chernohorenko revealed that Ukraine had signed alicense agreement to begin using the Command and Control Center System Interface (CSI), a non-commercial digital platform employed by most NATO member states for air and missile coordination and improved interoperability.

The official pointed out that the system operates through NATO’s Link-16 data protocol – which she referred to as “military Wi-Fi.” She added that the protocol facilitates coordination between fighter jets such as US-made F-16s and French-made Mirage 2000s, as well as air defense systems like the Patriot, all of which have been supplied to Ukraine as military aid.

Ukraine received its first F-16s from its European backers last summer, although the process had been slower than expected due to logistics and pilot training issues. While some officials in Kiev initially hoped it would become a “game changer” on the battlefield, the military later acknowledged it could not rival the most advanced Russian jets.

In total, Kiev was promised more than 80 F-16s, many of which are expected to arrive in the years to come. Since the start of deliveries, at least three Ukrainian-operated F-16s have been confirmed destroyed.

As for the French-made Mirage 2000s, which are capable of carrying long-range Scalp/Storm Shadow missiles, Ukraine only received the first batch this winter, with the number of planes to be delivered estimated at six. Kiev has confirmed their deployment in combat, but reported no losses.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned that Ukrainian-operated F-16s will “burn” just like other Western-supplied equipment. Moscow has also consistently denounced Western military aid to Kiev, arguing it will only prolong the conflict without changing its outcome.

(So NATO and Europe have no intent for ending the war.)

Trump hesitant to confront Putin over Ukraine – Politico source

An EU official has reportedly claimed that Trump wants a reset with Russia more than peace in Ukraine

(EU has been floating rumors and conspiracy theories about Trump for a long time. They don’t know anything about plans, because he doesn’t talk to the EU. Von de Leyen had her first call on tariffs last week.)

EU officials are reportedly concerned that US President Donald Trump is reluctant to pressure his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, over the Ukraine conflict, according to Politico.

Earlier this week, Trump said Putin is “playing with fire” after Russia launched large-scale strikes on Ukrainian military-related facilities. The attacks came in response to a sharp increase in Kiev’s drone raids targeting civilian areas in Russia. Despite his tough rhetoric,Trump has so far held back from approving what Senator Lindsey Graham called “bone-crushing”sanctions against Moscow.

In an article on Thursday, the outlet cited an unnamed EU official who said it is “very clear there is something holding him [Trump] back from actually putting more pressure on Putin.”

“He may want the reset with Russia most of all, more than peace. If he just wants to get the war ended so he can do these deals [with Putin], then he may be weighing the cost of poisoning their potential relationship,” the source suggested.

Asked on Thursday if he still believes that Putin is interested in finding a diplomatic solution to the Ukraine conflict, Trump said: “I will let you know in about two weeks. We are going to find out whether or not he is tapping us along or not. And if he is, we will respond a little bit differently.”

According to White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt, Trump is waiting for the outcome of potential talks between delegations from Moscow and Kiev in Istanbul on Monday.

On Thursday, Moscow’s envoy to the UN, Vassily Nebenzia, reiterated Russia’s readiness to continue “serious direct negotiations” with Kiev in order to find a solution to the Ukraine conflict that addresses the root causes.

He warned, however, thatif Ukraine “tries to prolong the war… neither new anti-Russian sanctions, nor arms supplies to Ukraine, nor other hostile steps vis-a-vis Russia will be able to prevent the inevitable military defeat of the [Vladimir] Zelensky regime.” (If Zelensky refuses to negotiations, Russia has no choice to go full boar on Ukraine and finish the war. And the EU is not helping Kiev, they just more dead soldiers)

(The EU diplomats have no idea what Trump thinks or believes. Politico publishes any shit that can make Trump look bad. This diplomat fails to acknowledge Trump has been tougher on Putin and Russia than Zelenskyy and Ukraine! The EU just slaps more sanctions on Russia instead of talking to Putin.)

The Biden years: When America started to resemble the late-stage USSR

How Washington became a gerontocracy

By Vitaly Ryumshin1/2

It’s been a while since we’ve heard much about Joe Biden, hasn’t it? Yet here he is, back in the headlines – not because of some triumphant return to form, but for all the wrong reasons. The former US president has once again found himself at the center of national attention, thanks to a sequence of revealing and deeply troubling events.

It began with Axios publishing the full audio of Biden’s now-infamous interview with special prosecutor Robert Hur. The same interview in which Hur concluded that the then president suffered from serious memory issues. As the recording confirmed, he wasn’t wrong. Biden struggled to recall basic facts – even the date his son died.

Days later, another bombshell dropped: Biden had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer. The news barely had time to circulate before the release of Original Sin, a book by CNN’s Jake Tapper and Axios’s Alex Thompson, tore down what little remained of the White House facade.

The authors didn’t just suggest that Biden had declined mentally during his presidency. They asserted that he had not been governing at all.Instead, they described a ‘Politburo’ of familymembers and close aides who effectively ran the United States in his name. It’s a term that will sound all too familiar to the Russian ear, and one that cuts deeper than many Americans might realize.

For years, critics of the US establishment – especially abroad –have joked about the ‘Washington Obkom’, a reference to the old Communist Partyregional committees of the Soviet Union. Today that comparison doesn’t seem like satire. It feels like a diagnosis.

It’s especially ironic that these revelations are coming not from conservative firebrands or Russian media, but from the very liberal American outlets – CNN, Axios – that worked so hard in 2024 to prop up the Biden administration and conceal the cracks forming behind the curtain.

But I’m less interested in their delayed honesty than in the questions Americans are now starting to ask.How did the United States, with all its checks and balances, end up with a gerontocratic shadow government? Why did Washington begin to resemble Moscow circa 1982?

Let’s start there.

A gerontocracy emerges when the ruling elite can no longer tolerate change. In the USSR, it was the ageing leadership of the Communist Party that clung to power. In the US, it’s the political generation that peaked in the 1990s and 2000s, the last so-called ‘consensus’ generation in American politics. Their grip on power outlasted their ideas. Though Democrats and Republicans had their differences, they broadly agreed on the same post-Cold War worldview. They ran the show for decades – until Donald Trump shattered that illusion in 2016.

Trump’s rise forced a reckoning. On the right, younger Republicans moved toward a more nationalist, populist agenda. On the left, Democrats tacked hard toward identity politics and expanded welfare, partly driven by their reliance on minority voting blocs and partly by the legacy of Barack Obama’s progressive rhetoric.

By the time Trump’s first term ended, the American political elite faced a nightmare: if they handed power to the next generation, they risked total collapse. The establishment Republicans had already been steamrolled by Trump’s base. Democrats feared the same fate if they embraced their more radical progressives.

Their solution was to cling to the past. Enter Joe Biden, a relic of the consensus era, sold to voters as a unifying moderate. In reality, he was a placeholder. A human firewall designed to stop the rising tide on both sides. The hope was that a return to ‘normal’ would restore calm.

Instead, it prolonged the crisis. Biden, like Brezhnev before him, became the living embodiment of a system unable to face reality.

And now, as Americans look back on the Biden years, they are forced to reckon with the consequences of their denial.Power didn’t disappear, it simply drifted into backrooms and family circles.

Decision-making was outsourced to unaccountable figuresbehind the scenes. And the public was kept in the dark. Even Biden himself, we now know, was shielded from bad polling numbers.

But the deeper lesson is more uncomfortable. Change comes whether you want it to or not.

The US establishment tried to shut out the new generation. It only worked temporarily. Trump is back in power. Yes, he is old.Butunlike Biden, he has surrounded himself with younger, dynamic figures who are already shaping the Republican Party’s future.

The Democrats, by contrast, have learned nothing. Despite their crushing defeat in 2024, the old leadership continues to resist renewal. And now it’s costing them. Just recently, the Republicans passed Trump’s major tax bill in the House of Representatives by a single vote. That vote was lost because Democratic Congressman Gerry Connolly, aged 75, had passed away just before the session.

He was the third Democrat to die in office this year.

This morbid pattern hasn’t gone unnoticed. Americans have begun to joke grimly that the Democratic Party is literally dying. And the punchlines, as dark as they may be, contain more truth than fiction.

Washington is starting to resemble Brezhnev’s Moscow – not just in age, but in inertia. In the end, the lesson isn’t about personalities. It’s about systems that refuse to adapt.Systems that cling to the past until the present falls apart.

The ‘Washington Obkom’ may have seemed like a Russian jest once. It’s not a joke anymore.

And how democrats are destroying themselves again, is by backing radical, progressive Marxist that want the Politburo back.

The funny thing is their never challenged him when he says “we have weapons the world has never seen, they can do unimaginable things, but they can’t believe Joe Bidan is dead and those are clones that replaced them. Didn’t they believe Dolly the goat or sheep when announced in the 1990s, the technology is light years ahead now.
