I read this article certain that it would say that DHS had determined that the wife and kids were in the United States illegally or that DHS has already developed probable cause to believe all of them were involved in the attack or its planning.

 

Nope! They were just disappeared.

Worse still, there's no indication anyone at CNN knew that one or both of those questions had to be answered before framing this as anything but a report of a kidnapping by federal agents.

 

So it's not just that the journalism is bad, but the values undergirding the journalism.

 

So now you have MAGA idiots all over the internet celebrating the idea that this DOJ unlike the last one "follows the law"—but if you ask them what law it is in America that lets Big Government take into custody the whole family of every malfeasor they would stare at you blankly.
