From Southeast Texas Political Review - Part 1/2
Feds Investigating Beaumont, Texas
Where's Beaumont, you say? Major refineries and home to notorious Covid lockdown mayor Becky-With-The-Good-Nails
(NOTE: The Cory Crenshaw - newly elected to city council and former DOJ attorney - who is being investigated is 1st cousin to none other that Dan Crenshaw)
Man, we hate to start this way this week. However, you have asked for it, so we deliver it.
The Southeast Texas Political Review has learned that a team of Federal Agents has formed a corruption TASKFORCE directly here in Southeast Texas. These agents have been brought in from around the United States and are basing operations in Houston.
According to five sources that have been interviewed by these agents and who have contacted the Review, they are focused on Thomas Flanagan, the ATT building sale, and corruption inside the City of Beaumont. This includes most of the former city council and former mayor Mouton.
We are told, by those who say they have been interviewed, that the FBI agents who came and spoke with them, and did interviews, that finally, a group of agents from outside the area, with no outside influence, with movers and shakers in Beaumont, or lawyers in Beaumont that know how to skew things.
We have learned that FISA search warrants have been issued, and the team reports directly, according to one elected official in DC.
Now, for what we think.
We know of three investigations in the past five years. All seem to simply disappear. We guess that the turnover in the FBI office in Beaumont may be of issue. With these agents around the United States that deal in public corruption and with no influence, and most of all with supervision outside of the area, it may be the ticket to starting to clean up Southeast Texas.
Now for the real question – is it too little, too late?
We guess we will find out soon.
