I never trust food delivery. Never used it.
if I see people alive and well in the restaurant; of course I will order. It's the stories of food delivery, the workers eating your food etc. that give me pause. They may not "like" something about me and spit, or otherwise adulterate my order.
someone I know bought his son a brand new Mustang. He had to return it because the son was not interested in it at all and said "if I need a ride I'll use Uber."

a Christian who has faith as a key tenant of his/her life would NEVER let pass the opportunity to swear upon the Holy Bible. In fact the true Christian sees his/her life here on Earth as temporary "as a vapor". A real Christian would put their hand on the Bible as if it were a magnet. The Act of placing their hand on the Bible would be predominant in their mind, and certainly something they would never "forget" of be "distracted from".

"swearing" or [Oath] was a poor choice of words. You cannot dispute the truth though. You know the truth of my point. Are you a Christian? what would you do if you were sworn in as President and you KNEW there would be a Bible there?
The answer is clear: It is not. Trump’s character and policies in no way reflect truly Christian values. His failure to place his hand on the Bible serves as a symbolic gesture — whether intentional or not — that he has no fidelity to Christ and no intention of honoring the oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States. Donald Trump demonstrates no fear of God, no respect for people who do not support him, and yet many Christians continue to bow at his throne as if he is the second coming of Christ.
out of context argument. The Bible is the living word LOGOS. LOGOS=Christ Christ=God

Matthew 24:24
King James Version
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
I'm confident you are not the arbiter of what is possible. No offense, I'm not either.
Do they still use a bible in courtrooms for swearing in's? (probably not) but if they did would you have any qualms about swearing to tell the truth so help you God?
>Separation of church and state
Also not real thing.
The religious left used a letter from Jefferson to create that lie.

do they still use bibles in U.S. courts or is that too oppressive and racist?
>a theocracy
No. they escaped a Monarchy. A Monarchy that was using the church to oppress religious and economic freedom
why is it so unimportant to you?
>"if it were possible"
The "very elect" refers to the most devoted and steadfast believers, not a select group within the elect.
-
While the elect cannot ultimately be deceived and lose their salvation, false Christs and prophets will use powerful signs and wonders in an attempt to mislead even the most faithful believers.
-
The phrase "if it were possible" indicates that it is not actually possible for the true elect to be permanently deceived, as God will ultimately protect His chosen people.
So you know who is ELECT and who is not? are you GOD?
