and the more i look, the less likely a sub-based-surface-to-air, anti-aircraft missile sounds.
i've found articles which state that the U.S. has zero light missile (aa style) capability on subs, and that israeli subs have a system and germans have a system.

US subs don't launch anti-aircraft missiles, that I can tell. Israeli might, German might, Chinese - maaaaybe?
but we don't.
this might have been a US surface ship SAM, but Q said sub, and hinted at chinese hack news.
