Cop tries to violate rights, gets humiliated instead.
Cops LOVE to use "obstruction/interference" to try to intimidate people recording and/or verbally challenging/opposing them, however any LEO doing so is LITERALLY committing a federal crime.
Our RIGHT to record police in their duties is not optional. We have a RIGHT to record from close enough to see and hear what the officer is doing and saying. We have a RIGHT to talk to people they've pulled over. Federal courts have continued to strike down distance limits they've tried to pass because they serve no purpose other than to limit our rights. Furthermore, the Supreme Court made clear in 1987 free speech CAN NOT BE obstruction/interferece. The only way speech can be obstruction/interference is if you lie (he went that way!) or if you threaten. Talking to the cops, talking to the suspects etc is PROTECTED SPEECH and can not by law be interference, yet cops are still threatening arrest or arresting for it across the nation, costing YOU money to pay their victims.
