I get it's difficult, but think about all the various systems that may be "online" now. Lots of chatter over those KIVs. I'm not sure what they are using now, but if it's like anything else IT-wise, it's probably more AND less secure at the same time. Security is an art, not a black and white process. Treat is like it's black and white, and shit will simply not work.
That's how it goes, and it only gets worse as the years march on.
