Trump Reportedly Urged Sen. Graham To Weaken Russian Sanctions Bill
President Donald Trump is quietly leaning on Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) to "water down" the sanctions bill on Russia that could see China and India slapped with 500% tariffs. Trump believes he needs the flexibility to engage in talks with Moscow and Kiev on ending the war in Ukraine.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Trump wants Sen. Graham to change the provision on sanctioning Russia. The reworded legislation would allow the president to pick and choose who was black listed and make the sanctions less mandatory by changing the word "shall" to "may." The White House is arguing that foreign policy is in the purview of the Executive Branch and Congress cannot tie the President’s hands.
If passed into law, the bill would sanction countries that import Russian energy. The primary targets of the blacklist would be China and India. All countries placed on the blacklist would face 500% tariffs.
Graham, who authored the legislation, has described it as "the most draconian bill I’ve ever seen in my life in the Senate."
The bill, in its current form, has bipartisan support in the Upper Chamber, and over 80 Senators have signed on as cosponsors. The legislation has only been delayed as Republican senators do not want to upset Trump by interfering in negotiations.
Trump has stopped short of endorsing the bill, but has used it in an attempt to threaten Russian President Vladimir Putin to quickly come to an agreement with Kiev.
Advocates of the bill say it will force the Kremlin to end the war. "I have coordinated with the White House on the Russia sanctions bill since its inception. The bill would put Russia on a trade island, slapping 500% tariffs on any country that buys Moscow’s energy products. The consequences of its barbaric invasion must be made real to those that prop it up," Graham wrote last week. Adding, “If China or India stopped buying cheap oil, Mr. Putin’s war machine would grind to a halt.”
Washington and its European partners have announced multiple rounds of sanctions on Russia that were intended to bankrupt Moscow and bring the Kremlin’s invasion to an end. However, Moscow has weathered the Western economic war while boosting its arms production capability.
Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) said the bill could be passed by the Upper Chamber this month. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) has expressed support for the legislation.

Trump responded to reporters aboard Air Force One by saying, "Well they gave Putin a reason to go in and bomb the hell out of them last night. That’s the thing I didn’t like about it."
"When I saw it I said, ‘Here we go, now it’s going to be a strike'" - Trump continued, in reference to what has become major nightly tit-for-tat strikes this past week. Ukraine has lately scored direct drone hits on crucial Russian military-industrial sites.
A reporter then asked: "Are you worried that Russia-Ukraine could spiral into a nuclear conflict?" And Trump responded: "I don’t… I hope not. I hope not."
The US President was then questioned on where he stands regarding Graham's Russia sanctions bill. Trump said the following:
"We’re going to see. I think Russia will not be making a deal stopping …. Thousand a week soldiers being killed and people being killed, not just soldiers. People being killed…I'll use it if it’s necessary."
Trump then denied reports that he is seeking to intervene with the Senate in order to water down the Graham bill. "No, I haven’t spoken to them about it. They have the bill, it’s going to be up to me. It’s my option. They made it that way….its a very strong bill," he said.

Israeli cabinet minister tells banks to ignore EU sanctions
Bezalel Smotrich has said financial institutions in the country should “take measured risks” in servicing settlers targeted by Brussels in 2024
Israeli banks should provide services to settlers whom the European Union has slapped with sanctions, despite any potential repercussions, the country’s Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has insisted. He warned that those failing to comply could be made to pay out hefty compensations.
Last July, the EU for the first time in its history imposed punitive measures on five Israeli settlers and three groups over “serious and systematic human rights abuses against Palestinians” in the occupied West Bank, which is considered part of Palestine under international law. Apart from an EU-wide entry ban and an asset freeze, the sanctions prohibit the “provision of funds or economic resources, directly or indirectly,” to the affected Israeli nationals.
In a post on X on Wednesday, the official, who is known for his far-right views, said that he had sent a letter to the banking supervisor, Dani Khachiashvili, in which he demanded an end to “the ‘zero risk’ policy on the part of banks, which leads to the abandonment of Israeli customers under the guise of compliance with foreign sanctions.” Smotrich accused Israeli financial institutions of “small-mindedness” and unquestioning compliance with “unjust” EU sanctions.
He argued that banks in fact “have a significant ability to act against” Brussels’ punitive measures, by taking legal action and wielding their “global economic connections.”
The official threatened that if his call was not heeded, he would push for legislation that would force Israeli financial institutions to pay out sizable compensations to the affected individuals. The Israeli finance minister further wrote that he could also promote legislation that would require the Bank of Israel to “open and manage bank accounts for citizens on whom sanctions are imposed.”
Speaking to AFP last month, Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard said that Stockholm would “push for EU sanctions against individual Israeli ministers” since there was no “clear improvement for the civilians in Gaza.”
At around the same time, her Slovenian colleague, Tanja Fajon, announced that her country was “looking into the possibility of sanctions against Israel, alongside France and Ireland.”
Also in May, the UK and Canada, which are not part of the EU, along with France, issued a joint statement condemning the ongoing Israeli military campaign in Gaza.
The document accused the Israeli government of denying “essential humanitarian assistance to the civilian population” of the Palestinian enclave.
London, Ottawa and Paris threatened to “take further concrete actions,” including “targeted sanctions,” should “egregious actions” on the part of Israel continue.
The statement also demanded that Israel halt settlement activities in the occupied West Bank.

USSS Ordered Destruction of White House Cocaine Day After Closing Case
Two years after the U.S. Secret Service discovered a bag of cocaine in the White House in July, 2023, documents showing orders for its destruction within 24 hours after the agency closed the case are raising new questions about the scrupulousness of the investigation.
A U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency document titled “Destruction” states that the bag of cocaine was sent to the Metropolitan Police Department for incineration. That document, obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request, doesn’t display a date for the destruction. But other internal Secret Service records show that the cocaine was tested by the Secret Service, the D.C. Fire Department hazmat technicians, and the FBI before being sent back to the Secret Service for storage on July 12. Two days later, it was transferred to the D.C. police department for destruction. The Secret Service shut down the cocaine investigation 11 days after discovering it.
The destruction of narcotics evidence must comply with environmental and safety regulations, and the D.C. police department has an Environmental Protection Agency-approved incinerator that federal agencies often use to destroy narcotics that are not involved in active legal cases.
D.C. police officials referred all questions about the cocaine’s apparent destruction to the FBI. There’s no entry or date for the cocaine’s actual destruction.
Early last week, FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino announced that he was re-opening the investigation into the cocaine found in the White House, as well as the leak of the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision overturning Roe v. Wade and the discovery of a pipe bomb at the Democratic National Committee headquarters on Jan. 6, 2021.
Bongino reiterated his commitment to getting to the bottom of those cases in a Wednesday night interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity.
“Well, I get a kick out of it on social media,” Bongino said. “People say, ‘This case isn’t a big deal. I don’t care.’ Well, I care. … You don’t care that a [potentially] hazardous substance made its way into the White House? We didn’t know what it was, and we don’t seem to have answers? Well, we’re going to get them. I’ve got a great team on it.”
While the cocaine bag found in the White House appears to have been destroyed, internal Secret Service documents show that the agency retained and stored a second piece of evidence, an envelope of three tubes of DNA that the FBI attained from the plastic bag of cocaine. It’s unclear how much DNA those tubes contain, though the Secret Service has stood by its statements that the FBI found insufficient DNA to pursue any investigative leads.

“Absolutely not,” Johnson replied. “Look, we are feeling the same energy that the President is. He’s leading. He’s delivering on his promises, and we all are. The big, beautiful bill is basically all those campaign speeches reduced to legislation. That’s what it is, that’s how important it is. Think of what’s in this, a record level of tax cuts, a record level of spending cuts, secure border, American energy dominance, again, regulatory reform, all the things that we promised, and we’re shoring up these essential programs that people rely upon. The President is making good on his promises, and we are, too, and that thing is on a glide path to be passed before Independence Day being signed into law.”
Watters said, “So he says that it doesn’t cut spending and it drives up the debt or the deficit. What do you say to that?”
“Elon is relying on the liberal CBO analysis, OK?” Johnson responded. “What they’re arguing is that if we extend existing tax cuts, it somehow adds to the deficit. That is not new spending. What we’re doing is providing tax relief for the American people, because if we didn’t do this, Jesse, everybody now knows, we’d have the largest tax increase in U.S. history at the end of the year. So what we’re doing here is having a historic level of spending cuts. We’re talking about $1.6 trillion in spending. Lawyers Citing Fake Cases Generated by Artificial Intelligence, UK Judge Warns
Lawyers have cited fake cases generated by artificial intelligence in court proceedings in England, a judge has said – warning that attorneys could be prosecuted if they don’t check the accuracy of their research.
High Court justice Victoria Sharp said the misuse of AI has “serious implications for the administration of justice and public confidence in the justice system.”
In the latest example of how judicial systems around the world are grappling with how to handle the increasing presence of artificial intelligence in court, Sharp and fellow judge Jeremy Johnson chastised lawyers in two recent cases in a ruling on Friday.
They were asked to rule after lower court judges raised concerns about “suspected use by lawyers of generative artificial intelligence tools to produce written legal arguments or witness statements which are not then checked,” leading to false information being put before the court.
In a ruling written by Sharp, the judges said that in a 90 million pound ($120 million) lawsuit over an alleged breach of a financing agreement involving the Qatar National Bank, a lawyer cited 18 cases that did not exist.
The client in the case, Hamad Al-Haroun, apologized for unintentionally misleading the court with false information produced by publicly available AI tools, and said he was responsible, rather than his solicitor Abid Hussain.

Mainstream Establishment Embraces Covid "Lab Leak" Theory, Just As Predicted
As the controlled narrative around covid evolves, the lab leak theory is being propped up as the "official" "alternative" position of the mainstream.
Back in January, as part of our “predicting 2025” series, I wrote that 2025 would be the year of the Lab Leak reveal, and that the lab leak theory (LLT) would be “quasi-officially true” by the end of the year:

Last week, FBI Deputy Director stated in an interview last week that the FBI was investigating a potential “cover-up” of the origins of Covid.
The New York Times is publishing articles asking “Why Are So Many People Sure Covid Leaked From a Lab?”, remarking that “the tide is turning” on Lab Leak Theory, and arguing – essentially – that the LLT could be true, but pretending it wasn’t back in 2020 was only responsible to prevent an increase in anti-Chinese sentiment.

in 2025 we expect [Lab Leak Theory] to take the final step, becoming the majority view. That’s a majority view, not consensus. We’re talking about a cultivated 55-45 split. Because the natural vs lab-leak argument is too valuable ever to end.

Jenner, who came out publicly as transgender in 2015, hinted in a January interview with the Israel Hayom newspaper that she could come to Tel Aviv for the parade, which is set for Friday. “I’m in,” she said. “Let’s do it.”
Tel Aviv also invited her to join the parade as a guest of honor in 2015, but she did not attend. It was unclear why.
Last year, Jenner posted on X that LGBTQ anti-Israel protesters should be deported to Iran or Gaza where, she said, they would be “burnt alive, beheaded, or pushed off a building.”
Speaking to Israel Hayom in January, the outspoken supporter of US President Donald Trump said she “feels sorry” for such “uneducated” protesters.

Revealed: UnitedHealth secretly paid nursing homes to reduce hospital transfers
UnitedHealth Group, the nation’s largest healthcare conglomerate, has secretly paid nursing homes thousands in bonuses to help slash hospital transfers for ailing residents – part of a series of cost-cutting tactics that has saved the company millions, but at times risked residents’ health, a Guardian investigation has found.
Those secret bonuses have been paid out as part of a UnitedHealth program that stations the company’s own medical teams in nursing homes and pushes them to cut care expenses for residents covered by the insurance giant.
In several cases identified by the Guardian, nursing home residents who needed immediate hospital care under the program failed to receive it, after interventions from UnitedHealth staffers. At least one lived with permanent brain damage following his delayed transfer, according to a confidential nursing home incident log, recordings and photo evidence.
“No one is truly investigating when a patient suffers harm. Absolutely no one,” said one current UnitedHealth nurse practitioner who recently filed a congressional complaint about the nursing home program. “These incidents are hidden, downplayed and minimized. The sense is: ‘Well, they’re medically frail, and no one lives for ever.’”
The Guardian’s investigation is based on thousands of confidential corporate and patient records obtained through sources, public records requests and court files, interviews with more than 20 current and former UnitedHealth and nursing home employees, and two whistleblower declarations submitted to Congress this month through the non-profit legal group Whistleblower Aid.

UnitedHealth said the suggestion that its employees have prevented hospital transfers “is verifiably false”. It said its bonus payments to nursing homes help prevent unnecessary hospitalizations that are costly and dangerous to patients and that its partnerships with nursing homes improve health outcomes.
Under Medicare Advantage, insurers collect lump sums from the federal government to cover seniors’ care. But the less insurers spend on care, the more they have for potential profit – an opportunity that UnitedHealth higher-ups have systematically sought to exploit when it comes to long-term nursing home residents.

Lindsey Graham and Other US Congressmen Purportedly Used Ukraine as Personal Cash Cow
A group of US lawmakers has been using Ukraine to enrich themselves, retired CIA intelligence officer and State Department official Larry Johnson tells Sputnik, citing whistleblowers.
About 23 members of the US Congress, including Senator Lindsey Graham*, helped themselves to the money coming from Ukraine, the whistleblowers claim.
“We're not talking a few thousand dollars. We're talking much more than that,” Johnson remarks.
He does point out, however, that these are just allegations at the moment, and that it is up for US authorities to properly investigate these claims.
“It's not going to take six months to do this investigation, it can be done in a much shorter time frame. So we'll see what comes of it,” Johnson predicts.
He also argues that it will be easier to make the results of this investigation public “once this whole debacle that is the war in Ukraine, comes to fruition, as the total defeat of NATO becomes apparent.”

Iranian Intelligence Stole Trove Of Sensitive Israeli Nuclear Files
Iran has obtained a trove of “strategic and sensitive” Israeli intelligence, including files related to Israel’s nuclear facilities and defense plans, the Islamic Republic state broadcaster reported on May 7.
“Iran’s intelligence apparatus has obtained a vast quantity of strategic and sensitive information and documents belonging to the Zionist regime (Israel),” said the broadcaster, citing informed regional sources.
The intelligence included “thousands of documents related to that regime’s nuclear plans and facilities,” it adds.
According to the report, the data was extracted during “a covert operation,” and included a “vast volume of materials — including documents, images, and videos.”
The broadcaster also said that the data was thoroughly reviewed by Iranian authorities after being securely transferred to the country.
The report, which was carried by the Hezbollah-affiliated Lebanese outlet al-Mayadeen and Iran’s Tasnim news agency, didn’t include any details on the documents or how Iran had obtained them. It also didn’t say if the Islamic Republic was going to release any of the data to the public.
Israel is estimated to have a stockpile of around 90-200 nuclear warheads. It developed its nuclear program in the 1950s and is thought to have tested a nuclear device in the 1960s. They have a nuclear triad of delivery options: air, sea, and ground-based missiles.
The country maintains a policy of “nuclear ambiguity,” or “nuclear opacity,” refraining from publicly acknowledging its nuclear arsenal, or outright denying its presence.
The operation announced by Iran appears to be a response to the heist of the country’s nuclear archive by the Mossad intelligence agency which was revealed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in 2018.
The heist saw fewer than two dozen Mossad agents infiltrating a secret warehouse in the Kahrizak district to the south of the Iranian capital, Tehran, and pilfered 100,000 documents, including paper records and computer files, documenting the nuclear weapons work of the AMAD Project between 1999 and 2003.
Iran and Israel have been engaged in a decades-long shadow war across the Middle East and beyond, including intelligence gathering, sabotage and even assassinations.

One of the most shocking and horrifying scandals of the Biden administration was its botched handling of unaccompanied minor migrants who flooded into the country amid former President Joe Biden's open border chaos.
Government whistleblowers sounded the alarm that the Department of Health and Human Services' Office of Refugee Resettlement, under the prior administration's leadership, failed to thoroughly vet sponsors, ushering children into unsafe homes.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed those findings on Thursday.

The agency issued a press release announcing that it discovered "widespread abuse" and "exploitation" of some of the children whom the ORR placed with "improperly vetted sponsors."
"As a result, these children were subjected to physical abuse and sexual and labor exploitation," ICE stated.
President Donald Trump's Department of Homeland Security launched a nationwide effort in February to locate unaccompanied minors whom the ORR placed with sponsors. As part of this effort, agents from ICE's Homeland Security Investigations are conducting welfare checks to ensure that children are safe from trafficking, exploitation, and abuse. They are also visiting the children and their sponsors to verify that they are receiving proper care, attending school, and complying with immigration proceedings.

On April 26, 2016, a "Katie Johnson" filed a rape complaint in a California Court against defendants Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein[xii]. The complaint was dismissed by a judge due to a lack of plaintiff address, not due to any frivolity of the complaint. Trump supporters were quick to dismiss the charge, however, the lack of address on behalf of the plaintiff could have been due to fear for her life.
"On the fourth and final sexual encounter with the Defendant, Donald J. Trump, the Plaintiff, Katie Johnson, was tied to a bed by Defendant Trump who then proceeded to forcibly rape Plaintiff Johnson. During the course of this savage sexual attack, Plaintiff Johnson loudly pleaded with Defendant Trump to 'please wear a condom'. Defendant Trump responded by violently striking Plaintiff Johnson in the face with his open hand and screaming that "he would do whatever he wanted' as he refused to wear protection. After achieving sexual orgasm, the Defendant, Donald J. Trump put his suit back on and when the Plaintiff, Katie Johnson, in tears asked Defendant Trump what would happen if he had impregnated her, Defendant Trump grabbed his wallet and threw some money at her and screamed that she should use the money "to get a fucking abortion'."
New Jersey lawyer Thomas Francis Meagher revised Johnson's case and filed it in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
"Plaintiff was subject to acts of rape, sexual misconduct, criminal sexual acts, sexual abuse, forcible touching, assault, battery, intentional and reckless infliction of emotional distress, duress, false imprisonment, and threats of death and/or serious bodily injury by the Defendants that took place at several parties during the summer months of 1994. The parties were held by Defendant Epstein at a New York City residence that was being used by Defendant Epstein at 9 E. 71st St. in Manhattan [known as the Wexler Mansion]. During this period, Plaintiff was a minor of age 13…."[xiii]
An alleged witness, Tiffany Doe, to the above rape has come forward. She claims she was paid by [Jeffrey] Epstein to lure underage girls to Epstein-and-friends parties with the bait of promised modeling opportunities.
"It was at these series of parties that I personally witness the Plaintiff being forced to perform various sexual acts with Donald J. Trump and Mr. Epstein. Both Mr. Trump and Mr. Epstein were advised that she was 13 years old."[xiv]
Tiffany Doe goes on in her affidavit to identify a 12-year-old victim of Trump and Epstein as well as to witness Epstein making death threats to the girls should they reveal the abuse. A second witness to the original Jane Doe (previous pseudonym Katie Johnson) corroborates the story of both Johnson and her lurer.[xv] The case remains open.
Yet another corroborating detail of Trump's alleged sexual history includes his own wifeat the time, Ivanaaccusing him of raping her in 1989. Perhaps convenient for Trump, Ivana somewhat recanted this accusation in July, 2015, just in time for the presidential race[xvi].

Trump thinks this way because that is what must always be on his mind, regardless of age and regardless of kin. Almost every time he publicly talks of Ivanka he can't help but compliment her body.
