PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND

We know times are deadly, literally. However, it's an intellectual knowledge for most of us. Thinking through the DETAILS of rogue missile launch is terrifying. I do not have knowledge in this area, so I need help.

A US submarine launched a rogue missile either by hack or deep state criminals on board (or combination or both).

1) Would the crew know they launched a missile? I'm assuming yes, every submariner would know their sub launched a missile. If I'm wrong, pls correct.

2) Would the crew know they launched a rogue missile?

3) If the crew knew, ex post facto, they launched a rogue missile, how does the crew maintain order, especially if the rogue actors are the officers? Crimson Tide?

4) Once the good guys realized what happened, how did they intercept an armed submarine?

5) Please tell me someone(s) is dead or in the brig.

I cannot imagine the confusion and panic (controlled, I'm sure) on board that sub. I know we have the best military in the world, but this particular scenario would be mind-blowing. I thank everyone on board and above for thinking through the problem and quick action.

If this event was ever to reach the public, no one would believe it.
