  1. Yes.

  2. YES.

  3. Comms went dark. Please know that there are drills for this. Commander did what needed to be done; in a fucking hurry!

  1. Sub was good. Crew was good. This was strictly a technological remote attack. Q's post explains:

  1. No traitors. Strictly remote sabotage.

UNLESS I'm really misreading this, and someone has ended up facing UCMJ for this event, then I'm thinking this was 100% IT breach.

Now THAT is the concerning part. THAT part takes insider help, usually. So, what we have are:

Chinese hacked a sub. Chinese managed this because they obtained the code to do it from someone. WHO?

Ask yourself:

Does the CIA put resources in the DoD? What type of resource would this be? Enlistees? Straight O's? Advisors? Contractors? How about a list of contractors that would have access to these types of programs? State secrets make a LOT of money. Even little ones.

Anon,

I know you and I don't work actively on subs. Knowing that we know that about ourselves, how can you possibly assume your understanding is still current? Physical, mechanical launch sequences aren't necessarily in place. Especially when all those component talk to the same mainboards that tie all the moving parts together.

Think of it this way:

I can turn off your videocard with a simple program without touching your hardware directly.

Yeah, I've had the great pleasure of working with several different DoD groups over the past 10 years. These are some of the finest people in the world. Also, some of the best partiers. I would trust a group of sloppy-assed drunken marines or sailors to just about any task over most grads these days; sober, with doctorates. I mean no insult to the higher educated; just personal experience. Put it to you this way:

Who does President Trump โ€“reallyโ€“ surround himself with? Forget the revolving door of the early days; that's politics. Who does President Trump REALLY take advice from? Think about Q. Think about Rogers, Mattis, etc. These people went to HIM. When Obama was President, they were pushed away, shifted around. Trump brought them IN.
