Israeli gov't overrides legal objections, approves acceleration of A-G's dismissal
The proposal is illegal and contradicts the High Court of Justice's legal precedent, Deputy Attorney-General Gil Limon wrote on Sunday morning.
The government approved in its weekly meeting on Sunday morning a proposal by Justice Minister Yariv Levin that will significantly speed up the process of firing Attorney-General Gali Baharav-Miara.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was not present during the discussion preceding the vote due to a conflict-of-interest agreement that bars him from taking part in any procedure that could affect his criminal trial. The attorney-general heads the state’s law enforcement apparatus and, as such, oversees the State Attorney’s Office, which is prosecuting Netanyahu.
Deputy Attorney-General Gil Limon wrote in an advisory opinion published prior to the government meeting that Levin’s proposal was illegal and contradicted High Court of Justice legal precedent. The government approved it, regardless.
Appointing, firing of A-G based on independent committee recommendation
A government decision in 2000 stipulated that the government appoint or fire the A-G based on recommendations by an independent appointment committee.
The committee is chaired by a retired Supreme Court judge appointed by the chief justice (currently Asher Grunis), and its other members are a lawyer chosen by the Israel Bar Association (Tammy Ulman), an academic appointed by university law school heads (Prof. Ron Shapira), a former justice minister or attorney-general appointed by the government, and a member of Knesset chosen by the Knesset Constitution Committee.
The government has not been able to consult with the committee since the Knesset has refrained from appointing its representative to the committee, and no former justice ministers or A-Gs were willing to join it, either.
Levin’s new proposal is to change the method of firing the A-G by replacing the independent appointment committee with a committee made up of ministers appointed by the justice minister. The ministers will conduct an arraignment for the A-G, after which a vote to fire her can be brought before the government plenary, which must pass with the support of at least 75% of all ministers.
According to the proposal, the new committee will be chaired by Diaspora Minister Amichai Chikli, and its other members will be Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, Innovation and Technology Minister Gila Gamliel, and Religious Affairs Minister Michael Malkieli. The proposal did not explain why these particular ministers were chosen.

Russia has developed a groundbreaking technology for launching drones from the International Space Station, according to Denis Manturov, the First Deputy Prime Minister.
By 2030, we must ensure a gradual transition to our own space station, module by module. This station will be the world's first drone platform equipped with robots for maintenance. A plane with at least 16 people on board has crashed in Coffee County, Tennessee, about 60 miles south of Nashville, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
“Initial reports suggest 16–20 people were on board. Some have been airlifted to nearby hospitals,” the highway patrol said in an X post Sunday afternoon. “This is an active scene.”
Several people have been flown to local hospitals while others are being evaluated at the scene, the highway patrol added in a Facebook post.

In his 1983 book "Legions of Death", Rupert Butler quotes British Zionist Jew Bernard Clarke, who was the British Army sergeant famous for capturing Auschwitz commandant Rudolf Hoss on 11 March 1946 and then conducting his brutal torture. Butler's book quotes many written or recorded statements of Bernard Clarke.
Clarke bragged that he and his colleagues tortured Hoss for extended periods and almost beat him to death, but that a British medical officer intervened to prevent them from murdering Hoss. After his torture and beating, Hoss was incapacitated for three days and it took him all that time to regain any coherent speech.
The Hoss "confession" was written and signed in handwriting not matching Höss' handwriting from before 1946-47. Prof Gerhard Jagschitz showed handwriting-differences between the "confession" and Hoss' actual cursive.
The faked Hoss "confession" was also implausible because it did not explain how Höss had "magically protected" the great majority of inmates at Auschwitz, who were Polish Catholics and other Slavs, from alleged "gassings".
The faked Hoss "confession" states that 2.5 million Jews (16.32 percent of the world Jewish population) were "exterminated" at Auschwitz under his watch, with 2 million of them killed by way of "gas chambers". During his brutal torture, Hoss interjected that he was willing to "confess" to killing 50 million Jews if his captors would only just stop torturing him. Of course, the 2 and 2.5 million tallies are far too "exact" or round to be remotely plausible.
The "gas chambers" on view in Auschwitz today were built by the Russians AFTER WW2 but not built according to the official DIN Norms (established in 1917) that are standard for all German industry. In 1992, Dr Franciszek Piper, official historian at Auschwitz, confirmed on film to Jewish-Holocaust Truth-Seeker David Cole (a Jew) that communist Russia had built all of today's "homicidal gas chambers" at Auschwitz AFTER WW2.
Stephen F Pinter served as a US Army prosecuting attorney at the US trials of Germans at Dachau. At the Nuremberg Show Trials, Stephen F Pinter gave the following testimony:
"THERE WERE NO HUMAN GAS-CHAMBERS IN ANY OF THE GERMAN CAMPS".
The use of false witnesses was also acknowledged by Johann Neuhausler, who was an ecclesiastical resistance fighter interned in two German labor-camps in 1941-45. Make It Make Sense: Why Are We Punishing The Farmers Doing The Right Thing?
Why is it that the organic apple must wear a label, pay a certification fee, and carry a price premium… while the conventional apple, grown with chemical fertilizers and synthetic pesticides, is simply called an apple?
What if we flipped that?
What if the organic apple was just an apple—and the one grown with chemical inputs had to be labeled chemically grown? Why does the burden fall on the farmer doing the right thing, while the one using harmful practices skates by without warning, cost, or consequence?
Why does the farmer who’s working with nature—protecting our water, preserving our soil, and nourishing our communities—have to pay extra, while the farmer who’s polluting gets to do so for free? Why is the financial burden on the one not doing the damage?
Our rules make it harder to farm responsibly. A chemical farmer can spray right up to the edge of their fence line, but an organic farmer must give up 25 feet on all sides—and sell that buffer zone as non-organic. How does that make any sense?
We claim to want cleaner food, cleaner water, and a healthier planet. But the regulations say otherwise. They punish the farmer doing what’s best for humanity and reward the one taking shortcuts that come with long-term consequences.
Meanwhile, foreign-owned corporations—some with deeply troubling records abroad—are seeking permission to be traded on U.S. stock exchanges. Others continue selling toxic chemical products in the U.S. that are banned in their own countries. Why are we opening our doors to this? Why do we reward bad actors while the honest, hardworking American farmer drowns in red tape?
The system is rigged. It pushes farmers toward chemical dependency—not because they want to—but because doing the right thing is cost-prohibitive and over-regulated. Organic farmers pay annual fees and a percentage of their sales just to carry the label. They’re taxed not just financially, but logistically and emotionally—while conventional farmers get a free pass to pollute.
