Chronological series of eventables
Terrorists on bridge throwing rocks at LAPD and their vehicles that are below them on the freeway. Many of the cars have their windows smashed and are full of dents.
LAPD scanner: I can't tell where they're getting these rocks from, but these are pretty large rocks.
LAPD scanner: Be advised, we're getting proper approval, but once we get approved, we're gonna [inaudible] at this crowd. We can't hold on until the sheriff gets here. We need to get them away from these barricades, because that's gonna be their stronghold. That's where they are [inaudible] at us from.
LAPD just charged through the street barricade; terrorists in retreat.
Massive gas just deployed on those throwing rocks at the LAPD on freeway. They all scattered and looks like they really got blasted; streamer coughing uncontrollably.
Boulder just thrown off bridge at LAPD by returning terrorist; was so heavy it took two hands to lift.
Streamer: Someone hit a cop on the head [thrown concrete]. Knocked his helmet off.
LAPD vehicle on freeway below terrorists is now on fire; officers are essentially trapped under overpass.
LAPD have arrived at overpass location; they deployed gas to scatter terrorists that were throwing concrete.
LAPD scanner: We're taking military or commercial-grade mortars, not fireworks. CHP is working north of us to clear the crowd.
Chief McDonnell [LAPD press conference]: The Los Angeles Police Department does not participate in, or coordinate with, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, on civil immigration enforcement. We've said this over and over again, and I can't stress it enough for the people in our community who have high levels of anxiety about this issue, that we want everybody to be able to call the LAPD in time of need, if they've been a victim of a crime or a witness of a crime.
Chief McDonnell: The National Guard was federalized. Do we need them? This thing has gotten out of control. Before I can answer that, I would have to know more about what their capabilities are, what their role is intended to be, in order to make that determination.
LAPD [press conference]: CHP has made at least seventeen arrests that I'm aware of.
Sounds like most arrests so far by LAPD have been for 'failure to disperse', six month maximum penalty.
LAPD scanner: They're shooting fireworks at us from the Chevron gas station.
