The army. National Guard has had LRAD SINCE 2012. These devices would dissipate that crowd in seconds from a distance safely.
US Army National Guard orders additional acoustic devices from LRAD
LRAD has been awarded a contract for supply of additional 100X, 300X and 500X long range acoustic hailing devices (AHDs) to the US Army National Guard (ANG).
The $487,000 award follows a $1.9m contract secured by the company last month for the provision of 500X and 100X devices to US Army Reserves for installation on Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) and High-Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled vehicles (HMMWVs).
Under the terms of the new contract, the company will deliver undisclosed units of AHDs and support equipment, such as wireless kits to the ANG.
