Chris Murphy Is Raising Money To Fund Anti-Trump Protests While Accusing Trump Of Making LA Protests "More Violent"

"Coincidentally, just a few days ago Murphy said he would start to "fund citizen led protest groups all over the country" through his new PAC.

Murphy said the PAC has pledged to give $400k to "youth groups" and others, with a goal of spending over $2 million on anti-Trump protests and mobilization efforts.

Instead of hoarding money for the next election, Murphy wants his PAC to spend that money "right now" to take it to the streets to fight Trump, and he wants more of his colleagues to follow his lead.

Murphy mentioned the new mobilization effort at his "Walk Across Connecticut" Celebration in Norwalk on May 31st, too.

He said his PAC would help "protect" municipal races all across the country by preventing "extremism" from Trump supporters from "seeping" into town boards and councils.

He also told the audience that in order to save democracy, "you kinda have to put all your chips on the table" and that "you have to use more risk-tolerant tactics."

Murphy didn't clarify exactly what he meant by "risk tolerant tactics" at the time, leaving reasonable people to wonder if he considers the LA rioters' and insurrectionists’ tactics to be "risk tolerant.""
