Palantir is one of the most significant and secretive companies in big data analysis. The company acts as an information management service for Immigrations and Customs Enforcement, corporations like JP Morgan and Airbus, and dozens of other local, state, and federal agencies. It’s been described by scholars as a “secondary surveillance network,” since it extensively catalogs and maps interpersonal relationships between individuals, even those who aren’t suspected of a crime.

University of Washington refers 33 individuals for felony charges in building occupation—prosecutors say referrals are 'incomplete'

“The big question will be: Is the information submitted so far legally sufficient to bring to court?”

The University of Washington Police Department (UWPD) claims it has referred 33 individuals for felony charges related to the recent antisemitic occupation and vandalism of an engineering building on campus, but the King County Prosecutor’s Office says the case may not yet be ready for court.

On May 5, pro-Hamas activists and Antifa militants took over the Interdisciplinary Engineering Building. The occupation, which university officials say caused approximately $1 million in damage, ended when police physically removed the demonstrators. In the wake of the disruption, the University of Washington suspended 21 students.

Now, UWPD is seeking felony charges against 33 people, according to a statement provided to The Ari Hoffman Show on Talk Radio 570 KVI.

“The referred charges were second-degree burglary and first-degree malicious mischief, both of which are felonies,” said UW spokesperson Victor Balta. “Malicious mischief is intentional damage to another’s property. The degrees vary based on the severity of the offense, with first degree being the most serious.”

Israel shows its true colors.

Israel Unveils Unprecedented Transfer To Ukraine Of 'Several' Patriot Missile Batteries

Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine Michael Brodsky unveiled in a Sunday interview with Pravda USA that Israel has delivered several MIM-104 Patriot surface-to-air missile systems to Kiev, in a clear significant escalation in its military support to the Zelensky government.

Ambassador Brodsky told the Ukrainian media publication (according to machine translation):

The Patriot systems that we once received from the United States are now in Ukraine. These are Israeli systems that were in service with Israel in the early 90s. We agreed to transfer them to Ukraine. And unfortunately, not much was said about this. But when they say that Israel did not help militarily, this is not true. This is not true," Brodsky emphasized.

This appears to be confirmation of what Axios reported in late January:

The U.S. military transferred around 90 Patriot air defense interceptors from storage in Israel to Poland this week in order to deliver them to Ukraine, three sources with knowledge of the operation tell Axios.

These are apparently older US-supplied systems which remained in Israel's stockpile. Still, the NY Times had presented that merely one Patriot battery was being prepped, in this May 4 report for example:

A Patriot air-defense system that was based in Israel will be sent to Ukraine after it is refurbished, four current and former U.S. officials said in recent days, and Western allies are discussing the logistics of Germany or Greece giving another one.

The officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the discussions, declined to describe President Trump’s view of the decision to transfer more Patriot systems to Ukraine.

Israel is perhaps only making this public now in the context of Russia's air war against Ukrainian cities, and the capital in particular, heating up.

Plane With Up To 20 People On Board Crashes In Tennessee, Officials Say

A plane with as many as 20 people on board crashed in Tennessee on Sunday, leading to several people being airlifted to hospitals, the state highway patrol confirmed.

“Initial reports suggest 16–20 people were on board. Some have been airlifted to nearby hospitals,” the Tennessee Highway Patrol wrote in a post on social media platform X, adding that the plane went down in Coffee County, around 60 miles south of Nashville.

In a post on Facebook, the highway patrol said that several people have been flown to hospitals. Others are being evaluated on-site, it added.

“This remains an active and developing situation,” said the law enforcement agency. “Tullahoma first responders and Coffee County EMS are leading response efforts. Please avoid the area to allow emergency crews room to operate safely. They will share more updates as information becomes publicly available.”

Based on the two social media posts, no fatalities have been reported as of Sunday afternoon.

Video footage released by the highway patrol on social media show the aircraft appears to be a small plane, which was broken in half.

The Epoch Times has contacted the City of Tullahoma, where the crash took place, for comment.

A spokesperson told CNN there were no fatalities, saying that the incident occurred at the Tullahoma Regional Airport. Federal Aviation Authorities officials are en route to assist in the investigation, the spokesperson added.

Brianna Keilar:

Do you think that President Trump should invoke the Insurrection Act?

Ken Cuccinelli:

Well, that is effectively a function of available resources. So, when they fully ramp up what they think is the optimum number of National Guardsmen, and if they still aren’t quelling the violence, then yes is the short answer—just as it was done in L.A. back in 1992. And that’s what that tool is for.

The President has made it clear that, unlike his first term, he’s willing to use it. I think we all take him seriously on that. He’s already moved National Guardsmen in a way he did not during the riots in 2020.

I can tell you, if you think of Portland, Oregon, where we had 340 officer injuries in the summer of 2020—340 officers injured—and the governor wouldn’t—Governor Brown there—would not bring in the National Guard, and President Trump didn’t override it, as he has the authority to do.

Brianna Keilar:

I hear you, Ken, but you raised a really— You’ve all mentioned several times. You raised a very serious thing, so I just want to ask you. You said the Insurrection Act—it’s really a matter of available resources. I don’t know that that’s how a lot of people would read it.

Are you saying that it’s really just a matter of if they don’t have enough Guard, then they can go ahead and deploy active-duty military, like these Marines who have been readied, and that’s okay because of the Insurrection Act?

Ken Cuccinelli:

That’s exactly what the Insurrection Act says.

Trump: Iran is involved in Gaza hostage negotiations

Trump’s comments came amid ongoing efforts to broker a deal that would secure the release of hostages held by Hamas and bring a potential pause in the war in Gaza

President Donald Trump said Monday that Iran is involved in negotiations aimed at securing the release of hostages held by Hamas in Gaza, claiming the talks are underway between Hamas, Israel and “even Iran.”

“Let’s see what happens there,” Trump said. “We want the return of the hostages—that’s all I can say.”

Trump’s comments came amid ongoing efforts to broker a deal that would secure the release of hostages held by Hamas and bring a potential pause in the war in Gaza. His remarks added a new layer of complexity to the diplomatic landscape by suggesting Iranian involvement, though no confirmation of this claim was immediately available from other sources.

In the meantime, U.S.–Palestinian mediator Steve Witkoff is continuing to push for a response from Hamas to a proposed framework, but efforts have so far failed to yield a breakthrough. A senior Israeli official said, “We’re not losing hope, there’s effort,” but acknowledged that “there is no breakthrough yet.”

Israel is maintaining both military pressure on Hamas in the Gaza Strip and diplomatic pressure through international channels. Israeli officials hope the dual strategy will soften the militant group’s position. Still, Hamas has shown no sign of flexibility and continues to insist on guarantees that fighting will not resume after any deal is reached.

Witkoff, the U.S. special envoy to the Middle East, had hoped to reach a breakthrough ahead of the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha. Although he considered visiting the region, he later scrapped the trip. Witkoff remains optimistic that a deal can still be reached and is said to view the mission as a personal one. He previously played a key role in securing the release of Israeli-American soldier Edan Alexander from captivity in Gaza.

FDA approved hundreds of drugs without evidence they work

A new two-year investigation by The Lever finds that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved hundreds of drugs over the past decade without reliable evidence they work. Many of those drugs are still on the market—despite evidence they offer no benefit and may even be harmful.

The probe, based on internal FDA documents, court records, and more than 100 interviews, found that 73% of drugs approved from 2013 to 2022 failed to meet all four of the FDA’s own foundational standards used to assess safety and effectiveness. These criteria include the use of control groups, clinical endpoints, blinding, and replication of results in more than one trial. The report did not evaluate any vaccines.

Among the findings:

Cancer drugs were the worst offenders. Only 2.4% of the 123 cancer drugs approved met all the agency’s criteria, while 29 met none. The FDA approved 81% of them based only on preliminary data.

Pharmaceutical companies often relied on surrogate outcomes, such as tumor shrinkage, instead of proven clinical benefits like extended survival or reduced symptoms.

Avastin, a drug approved in 2008 to treat metastatic breast cancer, is a notable example. After five trials showed no clinical benefit—and revealed serious risks like blood clots, heart issues, and kidney problems—the FDA pulled its approval in 2011. Drugmakers lashed out at the agency and patients, discouraging further withdrawals since.

The FDA’s loosening of standards can be traced back to the AIDS crisis, when pressure from activists and the pharmaceutical industry led to the creation of the “accelerated approval pathway” in 1992. This allowed approvals based on limited early data. Congress later codified this in the Prescription Drug User Fee Act, which was accompanied by a surge in pharmaceutical campaign contributions.

Critics argue this shift turned the public into test subjects, with insurers and taxpayers footing the bill while pharmaceutical companies collect profits. An estimated 128,000 Americans die each year from side effects of prescription drugs that were prescribed as directed.

The Lever also created a searchable database showing how many drugs approved from 2013 to 2022 meet FDA criteria. Vaccines are not included in that database. According to Children’s Health Defense Senior Research Scientist Karl Jablonowski, vaccine trials often fall short of these same standards—using improper placebos, inadequate blinding, and endpoints that fail to measure real-world protection.

Trump speaks with Netanyahu, stresses US wants Iran deal ‘so there’s no destruction and death’

More nuclear talks planned for next weekend as Tehran drafts counter-offer; PM said to tell Haredi MKs that ‘we’re in a dramatic period’ as he works to keep coalition together

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and United States President Donald Trump held a 40-minute phone call on Monday evening, shortly after Iran announced that it would soon respond to Washington’s latest proposal for a nuclear deal.

Following the call, Netanyahu held a high-level security consultation focused on Iran.

In a sparse readout of the conversation, the Prime Minister’s Office said the two leaders discussed Washington’s ongoing nuclear talks with Tehran.

“President Trump told the Prime Minister that the United States has presented a reasonable proposal to Iran and is expected to receive its response in the coming days,” said the statement from Netanyahu’s office.

It added that Trump informed Netanyahu “that he plans to hold another round of talks with Iran over the weekend.”

The statement did not provide any details about what Netanyahu said during the call.

For his part, Trump told reporters at the White House that the conversation went “very well” and covered a variety of issues, including the ongoing nuclear talks, adding that US has a meeting with Iran on Thursday.

Iran’s foreign ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei later said the “next round of Iran–US indirect negotiations was being planned for next Sunday in Muscat,” according to a statement cited by Reuters.

Netanyahu stopped testifying earlier than scheduled in his corruption trial to hold the call with Trump, which came as Jerusalem and Washington wait for Hamas’s answer to a Gaza ceasefire and hostage release deal, and as his ultra-Orthodox coalition partners are threatening to topple the government if a Haredi enlistment exemption bill is not passed.

PM said to tell top aides to meet with Witkoff

Netanyahu’s meeting after speaking with Trump included senior security officials, National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, Defense Minister Israel Katz, Shas leader Aryeh Deri and Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, according to Hebrew media.

Israeli secret nuclear facilities will be targeted if Iranian sites are attacked: SNSC

ehran, IRNA – Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) in a statement has warned that Iran will hit Israel’s secret nuclear facilities if the Israeli regime carries out any act of aggression against the Islamic Republic.

The statement said that the complicated intelligence operation by the Iranian forces and their significant achievement were a principal part of a smart plan and covert acts of the sacred Islamic establishment in the face of the enemies' propaganda.

Another major section of the plan included the Armed Forces’ relentless efforts to establish operational balance proportionate to weaknesses and strengths of the occupying Israeli regime and its supporters, it added.

The Council said the Israeli target list is “on the table” of the Armed Forces, and that the regime's clandestine nuclear facilities will be targeted if it carries out any act of aggression.

Pointing to the trove of secret Israeli documents Iran has recently obtained, it said access to such information and the completion of the intelligence and operational cycle have boosted the capabilities of the Iranian forces.

The statement said that today the Iranian forces are able to “respond immediately to any potential aggression by the Zionist regime against our nuclear facilities by attacking its hidden nuclear facilities.”

They can also counter any malicious act against Iran’s economic and military infrastructure proportional to the type of aggression, the statement said.
