Walmart Heiress Christy Walton Reportedly Promotes Anti-Trump Protest In NYT Full-Page Ad
Walmart heiress Christy Walton paid for a full-page advertisement in a Saturday New York Times (NYT) Sunday Edition promoting “No Kings” protests across the country, according to pictures circulating online.
The No Kings protests will take place Saturday, June 14, to call on Americans to “rise up” in protest of the Trump Administration, according to the group’s website.
“No Kings is a nationwide day of defiance,” the organization stated. “From city blocks to small towns, from courthouse steps to community parks, we’re taking action to reject authoritarianism—and show the world what democracy really looks like.”
Walton’s apparent advertisement included the headline “NO KINGS JUNE 14 MOBILIZE” above an image of the Statue of Liberty, along with a QR code leading to the ‘No Kings’ website.
“We are the people of the United States of America,” the advertisement read, according to photos. “The honor, dignity, and integrity of our country are not for sale.”
