Nationwide protests planned for June 14, called “No Kings Day”. Randi Weingarten involved in organizing efforts.

A nationwide protest movement is gaining momentum, with organizers calling June 14 “No Kings Day”. Demonstrations are planned across the country, coinciding with Flag Day and President Trump’s birthday, which will feature a military parade in Washington, D.C..

The mobilization is being led by a coalition of progressive groups. Indivisible, the ACLU, and the Human Rights Campaign are among those backing the protests. The movement describes itself as a “nationwide day of defiance”, rejecting what it calls authoritarianism and political overreach.

Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), is actively involved. She is hosting a town hall on June 10 to prepare for the demonstrations. The AFT has framed the protests as a response to cuts in public services, education funding, and other policies they oppose.

The protests are expected to be widespread. Events are scheduled in major cities and small towns, with organizers emphasizing nonviolent action. Demonstrators are encouraged to de-escalate confrontations and avoid bringing weapons.

The timing of the protests is deliberate. The military parade in Washington, D.C., is set to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army, but organizers argue that it is a political spectacle designed to bolster Trump’s image. The protests aim to counter this narrative by showcasing grassroots opposition.

A massive 696,000 Americans lost jobs in May, marking the second-largest decline since 2020. Household survey shows deeper employment struggles.

The latest employment data reveals a troubling trend in the U.S. job market. The household survey shows that 696,000 Americans lost jobs in May, marking the second-largest decline since the 2020 crisis. This sharp drop raises concerns about the stability of employment, despite official reports showing modest job growth.

The unemployment rate remained at 4.2%, but the household survey paints a different picture. Unlike payroll data, which counts total jobs, the household survey measures individual employment status, meaning one person with two jobs is counted as a single employed individual. This distinction highlights the deeper struggles within the labor force.

Labor force participation declined to 62.4%, reflecting a 625,000 drop in workforce engagement. The employment-population ratio also fell to 59.7%, its lowest level since the pandemic. These figures indicate that fewer working-age Americans are actively employed, despite reports of job creation.

Federal government layoffs contributed to the downturn. The sector lost 22,000 jobs in May, adding to a total of 59,000 cuts since January. The Trump administration’s efficiency initiatives have driven reductions in federal employment, further impacting overall job numbers.

Wages increased 0.3% month-over-month, with a 3.9% annual gain, outpacing inflation. While this provides some relief for workers, the broader employment decline suggests that wage growth alone may not be enough to offset economic uncertainty.

10th grade NY review handout defines Zionism as extreme land-grabbing nationalism

The board told the 'Post' that the sheet was created by an "individual or group within the district" and was not created by or approved by the Social Studies Department or the District itself.

A Grade 10 New York review sheet defined Zionism as “extreme nationalism” focused on “taking land from Palestinians,” it was revealed on Tuesday.

StopAntisemitism drew attention to the issue, and The Jerusalem Post tracked down the original post on Facebook where a NY Jewish mother reported that her daughter had received the handout.

“This is the review sheet for 10th grade Half Hollows Hill/Hills East,” wrote the woman. “Not only is it factually incorrect, it is propaganda and does not belong in a review for the New York State Regents.”

JPost Videos

Under Unit 10.7 – Decolonization and Nationalism, subsection Israeli-Palestinian Conflict – Zionism is defined as “an example of extreme nationalism” and the “belief that Jews need a homeland in Palestine.”

It goes on to say that “every war ended with Israel gaining more land.” As many commenters noted, this is factually incorrect, given that Israel has given up land at several points in history, including with its complete withdrawal from the Sinai Peninsula after the Six Day War.

P&G cuts 7,000 jobs, targeting white-collar positions amid sales decline and restructuring.

Procter & Gamble has announced a major restructuring plan, cutting 7,000 jobs in a move aimed at streamlining operations and adapting to shifting consumer behavior. The layoffs, revealed at the Deutsche Bank Global Consumer Conference, primarily target white-collar positions, affecting 15% of the company’s non-manufacturing workforce.

The decision comes amid a 2% drop in net sales, with P&G revising its fiscal outlook to flat growth, down from an earlier 2-4% projection. Economic uncertainty and changing spending habits have contributed to the slowdown, with 50% of U.S. consumers cutting back due to tariff-related costs.

World governments issued a record $18 trillion in debt in 2024, nearly doubling since 2019. These debts will not be repaid.

Governments worldwide are issuing debt at an unprecedented pace, pushing global sovereign bond issuances to a record $18 trillion in 2024. Developed nations accounted for $16 trillion, while emerging markets added $2 trillion to the total. This surge has nearly doubled global government bond issuance since 2019, reflecting a growing reliance on borrowed money to sustain public spending.

The scale of debt accumulation is staggering. Over the past five years, governments have issued more debt than in the eight years before the 2020 pandemic. The rapid expansion is driven by historically high spending on social programs and defense, alongside new tax and spending policies. Elevated interest rates have further compounded the issue, making debt servicing more expensive.

The sustainability of this trajectory is in question. Governments are piling on obligations that will not be repaid in any conventional sense. The options are clear—either repudiation or inflationary dilution through central bank intervention. Printing money remains the most likely path, eroding the real value of debt while burdening economies with rising costs.

long-term government debt is weakening, with auctions in the United States and Japan seeing poor reception. Yields are rising, signaling that lenders are demanding higher returns to compensate for mounting risks.

The consequences of unchecked debt expansion are becoming harder to ignore. As borrowing costs climb, governments will face difficult choices—cut spending, raise taxes, or continue inflating their way out. The global financial system is entering a precarious phase, where debt-driven policies may soon collide with economic reality.

DOJ Sues Coffee House for Allegedly 'Refusing to Serve Jews Coffee'

From The Department of Justice, "Justice Department Sues Coffee House for Refusal to Serve Jewish Customers":

The Justice Department announced today that it filed a lawsuit against Fathi Abdulrahim Harara and Native Grounds LLC, the owners of the Jerusalem Coffee House in Oakland, California. The lawsuit alleges that the defendants discriminated against Jewish customers, in violation of Title II of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination based on race, color, religion, or national origin in places of public accommodation.

“It is illegal, intolerable, and reprehensible for any American business open to the public to refuse to serve Jewish customers,” said Assistant Attorney General Harmeet K. Dhillon of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division. “Through our vigorous enforcement of Title II of the Civil Rights Act and other laws prohibiting race and religious discrimination, the Justice Department is committed to combatting anti-Semitism and discrimination and protecting the civil rights of all Americans.”

The lawsuit, filed today in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, alleges that defendants discriminated against Jewish customers through policies and practices that denied them the full and equal enjoyment of the Jerusalem Coffee House’s services, accommodations, and privileges. Specifically, the lawsuit alleges that on two separate occasions, Harara ordered Jewish customers — identified because they were wearing baseball caps with Stars of David on them — to leave the coffee house. During one incident, an employee told a Jewish customer who was trying to make a purchase, “You’re the guy with the hat. You’re the Jew. You’re the Zionist. We don’t want you in our coffee shop. Get out.” During another incident, Harara accused another Jewish customer who was with his five-year-old son of wearing a “Jewish star,” being a “Zionist,” and supporting “genocide.” Harara repeatedly demanded that the customer and his son leave and falsely accused them of “trespassing” to the Oakland police. Neither customer stated anything about their political views to Harara or any other employees while at the coffee house.

Only 68 Building Permits Issued for Pacific Palisades After Wildfires Destroyed 6800 Structures

Meanwhile, hundreds of Pacific Palisades residents are selling and leaving rather than rebuilding.

Six months ago, wildfires roared through swaths of the greater Los Angeles area. The last time I reported on the area’s recovery efforts, only four rebuilding permits had been issued. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass also led a delegation to Sacramento to request nearly $2 billion in state funding to aid the city amid a projected $1 billion budget deficit for the next fiscal year.

According to Team Bass, the budget crisis is primarily due to January’s wildfires but is also coupled with lower-than-anticipated tax revenues and rising costs associated with new labor contracts.

California Governor Gavin Newsom publicly rejected the idea shortly after it was presented. In fact, the request was deemed a “nonstarter.”

“The state’s not in a position to write a check,” Newsom said. “When you’re requesting things that have nothing to do with disaster recovery, that’s a nonstarter … I don’t need to highlight examples of requests from the city and county that were not related to disaster recovery and this state is not in a position, never have been, even in other times, to address those requests, particularly at this time.”

The governor’s rejection of Mayor Karen Bass’ pleas for state aid came as he discussed the state’s own economic woes. The state is confronting a $12-billion budget deficit in part due to a “Trump Slump,” Newsom said. The governor had to make cuts to his own signature program offering healthcare to immigrants without proper documentation.

The Los Angeles area is still struggling to recover from the January blazes. Six months after the fires began, it i being reported only 68 rebuilding permits have been issued for the hard-hit area if Pacific Palisades…where over 6800 structures were destroyed.

“Karen Bass is full of crap,” Pacific Palisades resident Sara Trepanier, a physician and single mom of four who lost her home to the devastating blaze in January, told The Post Tuesday.

Trepanier’s candid words come just a day after Bass proclaimed on X that “homes are under construction throughout the Palisades,” lauding her efforts to “cut red tape” on building permits and “get families home.

And just a week earlier, the mayor stood outside a Palisades construction site to say that an April executive order to fast-track floorplan approvals had made historic progress towards rebuilding.

So far, 68 building permits have been issued for 52 addresses, the city says.

But that represents less than 1% of the 6,800 properties damaged or destroyed in the area – and just 20% of the building applications the city says its received.

FBI Dallas and North Texas Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force announce results of Operation Soteria Shield in the Eastern District of Texas

Operation Soteria Shield resulted in the rescue of 109 children and the arrest of 244 offenders. In addition to these enforcement actions, investigators seized extensive volumes of digital evidence, including terabytes of illicit data stored on electronic devices that were used in the commission of these crimes. These devices are undergoing forensic analysis and may lead to further arrests and the identification of additional victims.

“The numbers of offenders arrested, and children rescued in this operation are stunning. The numbers leave us breathless because, at some level, we understand that behind every statistic, every number, there is a child with dreams, aspirations, and the right to live a life free from sexual exploitation,” said Eastern District of Texas Acting U.S. Attorney Jay Combs. “We are committed to teaming with law enforcement to investigate and prosecute these cases with urgency and ferocity in order to protect our children.”

In the Eastern District of Texas, this Operation has led to the grand jury indictment of individuals for not only distributing child pornography, but also sexually exploiting children to produce child sexual abuse material.

Operation Soteria Shield stands as a powerful example of what can be accomplished with coordinated, interagency cooperation. It reflects the shared commitment of law enforcement professionals across Texas to relentlessly pursue those who prey on children and to ensure that survivors are no longer silenced or hiding in the shadows.

The participating agencies also extend their gratitude to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) for their unwavering support. NCMEC analysts provided vital intelligence and case coordination that proved instrumental to the success of this operation.

Group at the center of initial anti-ICE protests funded by California, federal government

The federal funding was terminated by the Trump administration, but the State of California provides extensive funding for immigration services.

The progressive activist group at the center of anti-ICE protests in California received a majority of its budget revenue in recent years from California and federal government grants, state financial documents show.

The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA) staged one of the first Los Angeles rallies last week protesting the ICE raids in the city, in part sparked by the arrest of the Service Employees International Union president who was accused of obstructing immigration warrants.

CHIRLA rallied alongside other member groups of the L.A. Rapid Response Network, according to a public post on it’s Instagram account. The organization was joined by the Service Employees International Union and the LA teacher’s union, among other immigrant groups.

“To our immigrant community: we see you, we hear you, and we will NOT stop fighting for you. We say NO deportations. NO to mass detentions. Families belong together. We belong here!” CHIRLA said in the social media post.

After the initial demonstrations, which remained peaceful, the anti-ICE protests escalated over the weekend to include more than 1,000 rioters filmed assaulting immigration officers, burning self-driving vehicles, temporarily closing down at least one city highway, and throwing concrete rocks at law enforcement officers.

State of California financial documents show that CHIRLA received a significant portion of its recent operating budgets from both state and federal government funding for immigration services.

“During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2023, the Organization received government contract revenue of $33,966,572 including $32,526,542 or 96% from the State of California to provide immigration related services,” the group’s most recent financials reads. A similar percentage of revenue from the State of California was recorded in the prior year’s statements.

The Biden administration also awarded two “Citizenship and Integration” grants to the organization in 2023 for a total of $193,030. The federal grants were ongoing until earlier this year, when the Trump administration terminated them. The group was slated to received a total of $450,000 before the grant was ended.

You can read the consolidated financial statements below:

File

Financial Statements 6-30-23.pdf

“Under [President] Trump and [Secretary Kristi Noem] we terminated this in March,” DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin posted to X on Sunday.

CHIRLA did not respond to a request for comment from Just the News.

The group previously told the New York Post that it was not involved in the violent riots that took place over the weekend. A spokesperson said the group “organized a press event on Thursday” to protest the initial ICE raids and has “been sending legal observers to immigration courts and detention centers on Friday, Saturday and today as part of the LA Rapid Response Network.”

But, “We have not participated, coordinated, or been part of the protests being registered in Los Angeles other than the press conference and rally cited above,” the spokesman said.

Hundreds gather in Houston and San Antonio to protest immigration crackdowns in workplaces, courthouses

The protests in Texas followed days of unrest in Los Angeles, where President Donald Trump sent National Guard troops in response to demonstrations.

Crowds of hundreds gathered Sunday in Houston and San Antonio in protest of federal authorities’ redoubled efforts to detain and deport undocumented immigrants.

The protests against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Texas occurred after days of unrest in California, where demonstrators protesting immigration crackdowns in that state clashed with authorities. President Donald Trump responded by dispatching National Guard Troops to quell demonstrations in Los Angeles and vowing to “have troops everywhere” should protests turn violent.

Gov. Greg Abbott praised Trump’s response, writing on social media that “an organized assault has been waged against federal law enforcement officials.”

“It's time to put an end to it, and allow fed officials to fully enforce the laws of the United States,” Abbott wrote Sunday.

The protests in Texas appeared to be peaceful. Images posted on social media and local news coverage showed people gathering, sharing snacks and marching down two of the state’s largest cities.

Across the country, demonstrators have repeatedly hit the streets since Trump returned to office with a promise to deport undocumented immigrants en masse.

However, the latest protests followed what appears to be a new strategy from the Trump administration to target workplaces as pressure mounts on federal law enforcement to further escalate their efforts and deliver on the president’s campaign trail promises.

In recent weeks, federal immigration authorities have also arrested people at courthouses and while conducting wellness checks on children who arrived in the country alone.

ZIONIST PEDOPHILE SCANDAL! Israeli Lawmakers within Demoniac SEXUAL RITUALS Involving Children

Police Officers and Survivors Testimony:

Members of Knesset participated in Sadistic Ceremonies

Several women on Tuesday testified in the Knesset about sexual abuse they suffered as minors as part of religious ritual ceremonies.

The testimonies came during a joint meeting of the Knesset’s Committee on the Status of Women and Gender Equality, chaired by MK Pnina Tameno-Shete (National Unity), and the Special Committee on Young Israelis, chaired by MK Naama Lazimi (The Democrats).

The “Barkan Dossier” on Sadistic Sexual Rituals

The joint meeting was organized in the wake of an investigative report published on April 2 by Israel Hayom journalist Noam Barkan.

Yael Ariel, one of the abuse survivors, shared: “I experienced ritual abuse over many years until my late teens and was forced to harm other children. I chose to speak out and make my voice heard. I received threats after revealing my story. From age five to age 20, I was harmed in these ceremonies.”

According to Ariel, she received testimonies from several women who claimed that doctors, educators, police officers, and past and present members of the Knesset were involved in these abuses.

“I filed a complaint with the police that was closed after a few months, and I know of other cases that were closed. Speaking out today in the Knesset is a historic moment,” she said.

Another survivor, Yael Shitrit, testified: “You have no idea what ritual abuse is. The human brain cannot comprehend it. You can’t imagine what it means to program a three-year-old girl through rape and sadism so they can do whatever they want without anyone knowing”.https://www.gospanews.net/en/2025/03/30/genocide-in-gaza-with-israeli-rapes-even-to-children-chilling-un-dossier-on-netanyahus-army-supported-by-zionist-trump/

“Their trafficking of me happened all over the country. They moved me from ceremony to ceremony. Naked men stood in a circle. My therapist, her husband, and her son harmed me, and there were dozens of other girls and boys who harmed me.

“There were ceremonies and rituals meant to make me forget,” Shitrit continued. “The police have known about this for a year, but they don’t have the tools to deal with it”.

The people who will fall are very, very senior figures. These people run communities and government agencies. They threaten us. I have children I need to protect. Something needs to be set up that can deal with this.https://www.gospanews.net/en/2024/11/09/freemasonry-zionism-3-devilish-roots-of-holocaust-in-holy-land-70-of-exterminated-are-children-women-by-netanyahu-thanks-western-neonazis/

They tried to make us like them – the people who caused us endless pain,” Shitrit said. “Your role is to make this stop in Safed, Jerusalem, Jaljulya, or anywhere else,” she declared.

DR. NAAMA GOLDBERG, head of an NGO called Lo Omdot MeNegged (Hebrew for “Not Standing Idly By”), which assists prostitution survivors, explained that the depictions are sometimes so gruesome that they are hard to believe, but this incredulity serves the abusers, who convince victims not to complain by arguing that they will not be believed.https://www.gospanews.net/en/2020/07/22/4thousand-toddlers-raped-chilling-report-by-italian-priest-who-helps-police-in-pedophiles-hunting/

“Several years ago, I received descriptions of sadistic abuse of children,” Goldberg said. “The accounts sounded absurd. [But] the testimonies kept coming and would not let up. They described gang rape by men, and sometimes by women. The abuse was filmed, and drugs were used. There were ritual practices and symbolism.

“I presented the police with written testimonies from five women. To this day, no one has contacted me. Since the report, additional testimonies have surfaced,” Goldberg said.

A representative of the Israel Police, Ch.-Supt. Anat Yakir, said that there was a national unit reviewing all cases and that the complaints were “a top priority in the intelligence division.”

Malcolm Turnbull’s warning for the world as Donald Trump solidifies power in the US

Malcolm Turnbull has never hesitated to rip Donald Trump on the world stage, but his latest warning cut a much bleaker tone this afternoon.

Speaking on ABC News on Tuesday afternoon, Mr Turnbull cautioned Australia and its allies to prepare for a more volatile international order, urging democratic nations to become less dependent on an increasingly unpredictable United States under the billionaire commander-in-chief.

Mr Turnbull expanded on a recent essay he published in Foreign Affairs, arguing that “those countries that share the values for which the United States once stood, but currently does not, should band together to preserve what worked best in the order Trump is intent on burying.”

Following Mr Trump’s inauguration, Mr Turnbull has spent much of 2025 calling for strategic independence among Western democracies and a renewed commitment to multilateralism, free trade and stability.

He said Mr Trump’s “erratic” leadership has undermined trust in America’s role as a global stabiliser.

He also touched on the escalating situation in Los Angeles, where federal authorities have deployed marines in response to anti-ICE protests and arrests of undocumented immigrants.

“You can understand Governor Newsom feeling that Trump is trying to provoke a greater crisis there,” Mr Turnbull said. “These are dangerous times in America … There are many people in America now – serious people – who are concerned that America is slipping into a realm of authoritarianism … almost of tyranny. And that should be very concerning for us.”

On the flip side, Mr Trump feels emboldened by his election win, which he views as a “mandate” to enact policies he believes will strengthen the US from within. Everything from cutting foreign aid to damaging relationships with long-held partners is on the table for the Republican, who Mr Turnbull believes will flip-flop on just about any deal when he sees fit.

“We should honour [commitments] on trade and in particular should be working to expand our free trade relations with other countries that do share our values of free trade, which Mr Trump does not,” Mr Turnbull continued.

He praised renewed efforts to revive the Australia–European Community free trade agreement and Emmanuel Macron’s push to associate France with the CPTPP. “In other words, expanding relationships – and a similar approach should be done in defence.”

On the rising tensions in the Indo-Pacific, Mr Turnbull identified Taiwan as the most likely flashpoint. China has made no secret of its ambitions to usurp the tiny island nation sitting off its shores, which global powers, including Australia, have committed to defend.

And that should be very concerning for us.”

.@SpeakerPelosi: "On January 6th…we begged the president of the United States to send in the National Guard. He would not do it…And yet, in a contra-constitutional way, he has sent the National Guard into California. Something is very wrong with this picture."
