The shootings in Minnesota are sketchy. I think they have learned how fast digital warriors can destroy a false narrative and are trying to keep details to a minimum.
However, it is unexplained why the shooter was still on the scene at the Hoffman residence, when the police arrived and then got into a shoot out with the police. I assume this shootout gave the police time to get a description of the shooter, and see what he was wearing down to the badge, before he then got away. Of course the victims could have given the police the description of the shooter but there still be some concerns about whether or not they will survive after surgery.
