Police searching for former appointee of Tim Walz in connection with fatal shootings in Minnesota

A former appointee of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is being sought by police in connection with the fatal shooting of a state lawmaker, according to reports.

Police are searching for Vance Luther Boelter, 57, who was appointed by Walz in 2019 to serve a four year stint on the Governor’s Workforce Development Board, sources told The New York Post.

It comes after an assailant is thought to have impersonated a police officer when they entered the Champlin residence of Senator John Hoffman and his wife early Saturday, shooting both and leaving them critically injured.

The shooter then proceeded to the home of former Democratic House Speaker Melissa Hortman, where she and her husband were fatally shot.

Who is Dr. Vance Boelter?

Dr. Vance Boelter is known for his role as the Director of Security Patrols at a prominent security firm in Minnesota. His position grants him access to resources typically reserved for law enforcement, including specialized vehicles and uniforms that resemble those used bypolice officers. This connection raises concerns about how security personnel are trained and monitored, especially in situations involving firearms and use-of-force protocols.

Anti-ICE riot funding investigated after ‘numerous high budget requests’ for paid agitators were reported

An investigation is underway into who is funding anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) riots disrupting Los Angeles and other major U.S. cities after a major company revealed it had received requests for help.

Crowds on Demand, a California-based company that specializes in providing on-demand crowds for protests, told Fox News Digital it received "numerous high budget requests" to get involved with the anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles and other cities but declined to participate.

A company spokesperson said it declined to get involved in what is happening in Los Angeles because it did "not want to get close to any form of illegal activity, including violence, vandalism or blocking off roads without a permit."
