A man has reportedly driven through a crowd of leftist protesters at a “No Kings” protest near Washington, D.C, injuring at least one person.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, leftist groups are holding over 1,800 anti-ICE demonstrations across the nation today.

Groups behind the protests plan to avoid D.C., instead holding a flagship march in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and other demonstrations in Maryland and Virginia towns that border the District.

Police have identified the individual as 21-year-old Joseph R. Checklick Jr.

Notably, this comes after a leftist Tim Walz appointee to the Governor’s Workforce Development Board murdered a Minnesota State Lawmaker and her husband and attempted to murder a lawmaker and his wife early Saturday morning. This could be another potential false flag incident to blame Republicans for violence against leftists.

The murdered lawmaker joined Republicans to cut healthcare for adult illegal aliens just days before being assassinated.

Checklick reportedly drove through the crowd on James Madison Highway in Culpeper, Virginia, about 60 miles from Washington, D.C.

Per Fox 5 DC:

Officials say he struck at least one person with his vehicle.

Checklick Jr. was arrested and charged with reckless driving, and is being held without bond at the Culpeper County Jail.

Culpeper Democrats posted on Facebook, thanking Culpeper Police Department for their "quick response and for keeping our protest safe."

The group held a "No Kings" rally Saturday afternoon, one of thousands taking place across the country to coincide with a large military parade in Washington, D.C. to mark the Army's 250th anniversary – and President Donald Trump's 79th birthday.

This is a developing story.

Gateway Pundit Journalist Shot with Rubber Bullet and Tear Gas During LA ‘No Kings’ Riot — ‘They Are Targeting Press!’(VIDEOS)

By Cassandra MacDonald Jun. 14, 2025

Gateway Pundit reporter Elijah Schaffer has been shot with a rubber bullet and a tear gas canister while covering the increasingly violent ongoing riot in Los Angeles.

Cassandra MacDonaldJun. 14, 2025 7:40

The riot is part of the “No Kings” protests, which are taking place nationwide on Saturday.

An unlawful assembly was called at the LA protest in the late afternoon, and Schaffer filmed the United States Marine Corps and National Guard working together for crowd control.

After the unlawful assembly was declared, Schaffer documented multiple people in confrontations with officers and reported that there were “multiple injuries.”

Shortly after 5 p.m. local time, Schaffer wrote that “police are using tear gas and crowd control munitions to break up the crowd.”

“Though I identified as press and had my badges / credentials displayed, an officer still shot me with a rubber bullet,” Schaffer reported. “Another shot a tear gas can at me. They are targeting press.”

Schaffer reported that “5,000-10,000 people still remain” in the protest area, despite the crowd control measures and promises of arrests.

The riot in Los Angeles is ongoing and The Gateway Pundit will continue to provide updates as the situation unfolds.

Trump Has Phone Call With Putin About Middle-East Escalation – Russian President Congratulates Him on Birthday and Flag Day – Zelensky Complains the Relationship ‘Feels Too Warm’

By Paul Serran Jun. 14, 2025 6:40 pm

The world is on fire, but the nuclear superpowers still have an open communication line.

In the middle of the major escalation in the middle-east, with the war in the Ukraine still raging, it arises that US President Donald J. Trump has had today a phone call with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

Th information was first shared by Putin’s top aide Yuri Ushakov.

While the military confrontation between Israel and Iran has made the conversation ever-more urgent, the 50-minute call was also an opportunity for Putin to congratulate Trump on his birthday and Flag Day.

(In the meantime, Ukraine leader Volodymyr Zelensky has posted to X complaining that ‘Right now, the tone of U.S.-Russia dialogue feels too warm’.)’

Al Arabiya reported:

“Ushakov, quoted by the [Russian] agencies, said Putin condemned Israeli attacks on Iran and the two leaders did not rule out returning to discussions on Iran’s nuclear program.

Ushakov was also quoted as saying that Putin confirmed Russia’s readiness to press on with negotiations with Ukraine.

The agencies quoted Ushakov as saying the two presidents spoke for about 50 minutes. He described the talk as meaningful and useful.”

According to Ushakov, Putin informed Trump about his recent phone contacts with the president of Iran and the prime minister of Israel, and reminded Trump ‘of Russia’s proposal to seek mutually acceptable agreements on the Iranian nuclear issue’.

Sputnik reported:

“Trump assessed the situation in the Middle East as highly alarming. The presidents did not rule out a return to the negotiating track on the Iranian nuclear program.

Putin also informed Trump about the implementation of the Istanbul agreements reached in Turkey on June 2. Russia is ready to continue negotiations with the Ukrainian side, Putin said.

During the conversation, the leaders noted the wartime brotherhood of the two countries during World War II and expressed satisfaction with their current relationship, which allows for addressing pressing issues.”

Putin further said that Russia is ready to resume negotiations with Ukraine after June 22.

Zelensky is pissed because he’s banned from talking to Trump, is my guess.
