Craig's List Ads didn't work so they concentrated all the efforts in LA, must have dropped their last bit of dough to fly them in.

Nah, we're getting to the end of this movie, most of the 'actors' aren't even alive anymore, anyway.
If you understand how they 'hate' us, they doubly hate each other, and have more avenues to attack each other, when all are getting blamed for things not working out for them. Frustrations run high, and since 'real' legal issues are being handed out, they have to take it out on each other now. tsk tsk, poor cult members.
