PNWanon again. Saratoga Passage is off of the shipping lanes which I'm sure are watched by the military with sonar, radar, etc. However the "backdoor" through Deception pass is very dangerous but it can be navigated by vessels at slack tide and then down to Saratoga Passage where the missile was launched. When I have time I'll check the tide tables for that time and day. A sub would still have to come down the shipping lanes through the Straits though. Very interesting.
