MAGA’s Civil War: Who dares to take on the Israel lobby?

Prominent conservative figures are calling on Donald Trump to stay out of the Israel-Iran war, but is it the rebellion it seems to be?

Steve Bannon – stubborn, irrepressible, and very smart right/far-right public intellectual and once ally, chief strategist, and bestie of US President Donald Trump – is back in the news. And in a way that speaks to much more than the ups and downs, ins and outs of US elite careers.

Because the hill he is fighting on this time is resistance to the US waging another all-around devastating war in the Middle East in the service of Israel and its powerful lobby in America.

Bannon, make no mistake, is not taking a de facto – if still all too limited – stand against Israel because of its apartheid, genocide, and wars of aggression. He ought to, obviously, especially as a man flaunting his Christian belief. (From one sort-of-Roman-Catholic to another, Steve: Our Lord Jesus Christ really didn’t like the child killers, and I am pretty sure he would have found the lingerie-camouflage cross-dressers with machine guns rather off-putting, too.)

But then, if Bannon were to advance principled moral objections here, he would not be Steve Bannon, a very conservative American, who will probably never shake off deeply ingrained mental habits of cynicism and supremacism. Indeed, he has made sure to stress that he remains a “big supporter” and “defender of Israel.”

Yet, from Trump’s perspective – and that of the Israeli influence agents surrounding him – Bannon’s line of attack is, given American political culture, more politically dangerous than a genuinely moral stance. Because Bannon is positioning American national interest against following Israel’s lead. Declaring that Israel pursues an “Israel First” policy – you bet: about as egotistically as Berlin’s “Germany First” trip between 1933 and 1945 – Bannon has dared state the obvious: Israel’s interests are not identical with those of the US, and therefore, a genuine “America First” policy must not obey Israel.

Hence, stay out of the war against Iran. Or to be precise, get out of it. Especially since, as Bannon argues not implausibly, with the ongoing Ukraine War, the Gaza Genocide (which he of course fails to name as such), and now the Israeli assault on Iran, we are not really drifting toward World War III but already in its early stages. And, let’s face it, if there’s a World War III Bannon would support, that would be the one targeting China. One more reason why he believes the US should decrease – not increase – its engagement in the Middle East (and Europe, too): so that it can better “pivot to Asia.”

Whether you agree with Bannon on China (I don’t) and World War III or believe that we are “merely” teetering on the threshold to a third global conflagration, Bannon is, of course, right that Washington must, in its own national interest, finally stop obeying Israel.

Why Is Israeli Propaganda So Bad?

Bombing Iran…

Some readers will get angry at this statement because they don't want it to be true, but Israel appears to be winning its war against Iran. As the British defense thinktank RUSI noted in its assessment of the first 72 hours of the war,

In something close to a decapitation of the Iranian security state, the Commander in Chief of the Iranian military, the Commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the head of the IRGC’s Aerospace Forces, and the former head of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (involved in talks with the US) were all killed, along with dozens of other officers and a number of senior nuclear scientists.

In contrast, while Iranian ballistic missiles have damaged infrastructure and caused casualties in Israel, they haven't managed to hit similarly senior military leadership in Israel, or degrade Israel's military to the extent Israel has Iran's.

…While Bombing Online

As effective as Israel's military has been, it's keyboard warriors have been disastrous. Below are a few examples of Israel's awful propaganda so far.

Before we get to them, two quick programming notes:

Russian Missiles and Drones Target Kiev Airport and Other Military Facilities

Slavyangrad reported:

“Last night, Geraniums carried out a group strike on the Zhulyany airport and the town near it. A number of buildings of the aviation institute were reportedly damaged, and a Patriot air defense system was destroyed.

According to preliminary data, the night attack on Kiev was aimed exclusively at military and paramilitary infrastructure, which is confirmed by the geography of the fires, recorded by thermal anomalies.

Those hit were:

▪️ Kiev Armored Plant

▪️482nd Design and Technology Center of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (military unit A-2070)

▪️1899th Central Base for Repair and Storage of Communication Equipment (military unit A-0476)

▪️195th Central Base of Railway Equipment (military unit T-0710)

▪️Warehouses southeast of the Antonov plant – according to unofficial data, there could have been already assembled drones there, ready for use.

▪️The territory of Zhulyany airport, where, apparently, at least three flights landed.

Particular emphasis was placed on facilities that ensure the restoration and repair of armored vehicles, the assembly of drones and their subsequent dispatch closer to the front line.”

IRGC Claims Direct Missile Hit On Israel's Mossad Headquarters

After a night of more Iranian ballistic missile attacks on Israel, in response to Tel Aviv leading a war of regime change targeting Tehran, social media images have featured Mossad headquarters near Tel Aviv with huge plumes of black smoke above it.

Glilot military intel base appeared to be on fire after a ballistic missile reportedly struck it. Iran's elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is hailing the 'success' of the targeted attack. "This morning, the IRGC’s aerospace forces carried out a strike on the center of military intelligence of the Zionist regime's army, Aman, and the Zionist regime’s center for planning terrorist operations, Mossad, in Tel Aviv, despite Israel’s advanced defense systems, and this center is now on fire," the Tasnim news agency quoted an official statement as saying.

The Israeli military has downplayed the incident, claiming instead that damage was limited to a parking lot; however, Israeli media reported that in the vicinity are secret backup sites tied to Unit 8200, Israel’s elite cyber intelligence division, which may have been destroyed or suffered serious damage.

Both sides are clearly trying to take out the other's military and intelligence leadership and sites. Israeli warplanes are also especially focusing on destroying Iranian oil depots in order to wreck the Islamic Republic's economy.

On the other side, Israel also continued to tout battlefield successes. Israel has announced its forces killed a senior Iranian general overnight, shortly after eliminating his predecessor. The campaign against Iran’s nuclear program and Iran’s retaliatory missile attacks on Israel is now in its fifth day.

Despite widely circulating footage like the below, the Israeli government has not confirmed a hit on Mossad HQ, and is unlikely to offer verification:

National pulse just sold out to the Israel lobby pushing fake polls

A national Democracy Institute poll has revealed that most American voters, especially those who support Donald Trump, are staunchly opposed to a war with Iran involving ground troops. Just over one in three Americans, however, appear to support the move. The survey, conducted June 14–16, 2025, asked whether the U.S. should go to war—including committing boots on the ground—against Iran. Only 35 percent of all 2024 voters said “yes,” while a majority—53 percent—said “no.”Among working-class voters, resistance to war is higher. Just 29 percent support the idea of war with Iran, while 60 percent are opposed.

Shills for Israel and war

JD Vance Comes Out Of The Woodwork To Calm Down Trump’s MAGA Haters

Vice President JD Vance responded to what he called “crazy stuff” online regarding President Donald Trump and rising tensions between Iran and Israel in a Tuesday tweet.

Responding to growing criticisms of the president, including calls for impeachment over Trump’s response to Israel’s bombing of Iran, Vance praised Trump’s consistency and restraint.

Trump has been adamant that “Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon,” Vance tweeted.

“Over the last few months, he encouraged his foreign policy team to reach a deal with the Iranians to accomplish this goal. The president has made clear that Iran cannot have uranium enrichment. And he said repeatedly that this would happen one of two ways — the easy way or the ‘other’ way,” Vance tweeted.

While praising Trump’s restraint in keeping military focus on protecting U.S. forces and citizens, Vance also indicated that Trump could involve the U.S. further in the conflict.

“He may decide he needs to take further action to end Iranian enrichment. That decision ultimately belongs to the president,” Vance continued.

The vice president ultimately displayed sympathy toward critics worried about U.S. involvement.

“People are right to be worried about foreign entanglement after the last 25 years of idiotic foreign policy,” Vance continued.

“But I believe the president has earned some trust on this issue. And having seen this up close and personal, I can assure you that he is only interested in using the American military to accomplish the American people’s goals. Whatever he does, that is his focus,” Vance’s tweet concluded.

Calls for Trump to avoid directly involving the US in the Israel-Iran conflict reached a fever pitch Monday after he echoed an Israeli warning to citizens of Iran’s capital Tehran to evacuate.

GMO Agriculture Linked To Soaring Use Of Toxic Pesticides

Proponents of genetically engineered crops and seeds promised that the technology would reduce pesticide use. However, a new study confirms that industrial agriculture’s use of genetic engineering technologies has caused pesticide use to soar.

Genetically modified (GM) crops have increased agriculture’s dependence on pesticides rather than reducing it, a study published in April found.

Drawing on data from four GM crops — Bt cotton, herbicide-tolerant (HT) soybean, HT and/or Bt maize, and HT canola, the researchers — including agricultural development expert professor Glenn Davis Stone from Washington and Lee University and Bt cotton expert K. R. Kranthi of the International Cotton Advisory Committee — traced the surge in chemical use over three decades.

They found a paradox: while GM seeds were supposed to reduce pesticide use, their introduction caused pesticide use to soar. The researchers explain this outcome using the Jevons paradox, an economic theory that dates back to 1865.

British economist William Stanley Jevons argued that efficiency in resource use often leads to more, not less, consumption. The study applies this idea to GM crops, which were claimed to reduce pesticide use, but in reality have made it skyrocket.

The researchers consider the two most prevalent GM seed-pesticide technology regimes: Bt crops and herbicide-tolerant (HT) crops.

Both seeds are billed as efficient technologies: HT crops are claimed to facilitate more efficient weed control, and Bt crops are claimed to control insect pests more efficiently.

However, the researchers found that, “Like other technological efficiencies… the increased use of GM crops over the past 30 years has not contributed to input reductions nor to land reclamations, but to the expansion of agricultural land and increased use of the very pesticides these technologies are purported to curtail.”

This is due to the complexity of agricultural systems:

“The efficiencies of GM crops not only lower the cost for individual farmers to use, in aggregate, more pesticides; they also make those pesticides ever more essential to the political economy of agriculture through the input-intensive monocultures in which they are embedded.

“In fact, increases in chemical usage occur throughout these GM crop systems because technological substitutions like GM seeds cannot be separated from their cascading impacts on labour, weed and pest ecology or agricultural decision-making.”

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee Sends President Trump Powerful Text Message with a Historical Analogy as Trump Weighs His Options On Israel-Iran War

Here is the full message:

Mr President, God spared you in Butler, PA to be the most consequential President in a century—maybe ever. The decisions on your shoulders I would not want to be made by anyone else.

You have many voices speaking to you Sir, but there is only ONE voice that matters. HIS voice. I am your appointed servant in this land and am available for you but I do not try to get in your presence often because I trust your instincts.

No President in my lifetime has been in a position like yours. Not since Truman in 1945.

I don’t reach out to persuade you. Only to encourage you. I believe you will hear from heaven and that voice is far more important than mine or ANYONE else’s. You sent me to Israel to be your eyes, ears, and voice and to make sure our flag flies above our embassy. My job is to be the last one to leave.

I will not abandon this post. Our flag will NOT come down! You did not seek this moment. This moment sought YOU! It is my honor to serve you!

Huckabee’s line on Truman is raising eyebrows on social media with many wondering why he included that to begin with.

The Gavin Newsom Files Dropped: “A Viciously Anti-Christian Agenda for America”

The report draws attention to several policy moves made by Newsom during his time as governor. It criticizes his use of scripture to support pro-abortion policies, highlighting a 2022 billboard campaign in states such as Oklahoma. One such billboard read, “Need an abortion? California is here to help,” alongside the biblical quote, “Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no greater commandment than these.” The billboard drew condemnation from several religious leaders. The California Catholic Conference labeled it “unconscionable,” and a prominent Protestant pastor called it a “reprehensible act of gross blasphemy.” The Catholic League described the billboard campaign as “demonic,” according to Catholic Vote’s report.

In 2022, Newsom signed legislation making California the first “sanctuary state” for parents seeking transgender medical treatments for their children. The law protects parents from other states from prosecution if they come to California for services such as hormone therapy and puberty blockers for minors. The report states that in 2023, Newsom expanded these efforts further by enacting new penalties on school districts that do not actively promote LGBTQ content.

“He framed this as a matter of ‘families’ having ‘the freedom to decide what’s right for them,’” the report says. A spokesperson for Newsom, Brandon Richards, responded to the Catholic Vote report in comments to Fox News Digital. “We’re not taking seriously any organization co-founded by a political hack who has sworn allegiance to President Trump, called Pope Francis’ papacy a ruse, and justified cutting off U.S. foreign aid for the poor and hungry because he’d read some conspiracy theory about transgender mice experiments,” Richards said.

Richards added, “We encourage Catholic Vote, which does not represent the Catholic Church, to read Leviticus: ‘You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.’” Catholic Vote endorsed President Trump in the 2024 election, and the organization’s founder, Brian Burch, was selected by the administration to serve as U.S. Ambassador to the Vatican.

The report also revisits Newsom’s quote from a 2008 interview amid California’s legal battle over same-sex marriage: “As California goes, so goes the rest of the nation. It’s inevitable.” Catholic Vote cites this statement as a warning of what it sees as the broader national implications of Newsom’s leadership.

ICE arrests Jewish NYC mayoral candidate Brad Langer for unknown reasons

In the videos of the incident, he can be heard repeatedly asking ICE officers, "Do you have a judicial warrant?" and "Can I see the judicial warrant?"

As they handcuff him, he can be heard repeatedly telling the officers, "You don't have the authority to arrest us citizens."

ICE is in charge of enforcing immigration laws against non-citizens and typically lacks the authority to arrest US citizens except in extenuating circumstances, such as in the case of reasonable suspicion of immigration violations. It is not clear what led to Lander's arrest, as he is a US citizen with no known immigration issues.

Lander's spokeswoman, Dora Pekec, said while escorting a defendant out of immigration court at 26 Federal Plaza, Brad Lander was taken by masked agents and detained by ICE.”

“This is still developing, and we are monitoring the situation closely.”

Lander was at the court to observe immigration proceedings after President Trump’s recent call for ICE to target New York City, according to the New York Post.

In a press conference on Tuesday afternoon, Lander's wife said, "My husband is a US citizen with a US passport."

"I know in all likelihood he is going to be okay," she added, but said that other families facing ICE in the courts may not have the same confidence. "It's an abomination, this is not the rule of law," she said.

Charged with assaulting or impeding a federal officer

DHS told Fox News Digital that Lander is charged with assaulting or impeding a federal officer.

"This is the latest example of the extreme thuggery of Trump's ICE out of control – one can only imagine the fear families across our country feel when confronted with ICE," NYC mayoral candidate Andrew Cuomo wrote on X.

"Fear of separation, fear of being taken from their schools, fear of being detained without just cause. This is not who we are. This must stop, and it must stop now."

Mayoral candidates Scott Stringer and Zohran Kwame Mamdani also called for Lander's release.

"The recent politicization of federal immigration authorities under the Trump administration is disturbing and shameful," Stringer wrote.

"I call for Brad to be released immediately. I hope to see him out on the campaign trail soon."

NIH Renews Grants for Harvard Monkey Lab, Fauci’s Beagle and Primate Tests

National Institutes of Health, under Director Jay Bhattacharya, has renewed millions in funding for controversial experiments, including THC tests on monkeys at Harvard, tick bites on beagle puppies, and Anthony Fauci’s notorious “Monkey Island,” prompting criticism from watchdog group White Coat Waste.

Last month, Gateway Pundit reported how President Trump’s Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Doug Collins, confirmed the department will end primate testing before a 2026 deadline set by Congress.

Following years of campaigning by the watchdog organization White Coat Waste, President Trump’s first administration set the VA on the path to ending testing on dogs, cats and primates after WCW exposed how the agency was giving puppies heart attacks, injecting monkeys with angel dust, crippling kittens, drilling into cat’s skulls, and much more.

Also in May, Trump’s U.S. Navy banned all testing on dogs and cats. The Navy credited WCW, as well as journalist Laura Loomer, the Department of Government Efficiency, and Senator Rand Paul, “for bringing the issue of animal abuse to our attention, leading to the Navy’s decision to ban medical research testing on cats and dogs.”

But holdovers from the Obama and Biden Administrations appear to be preventing this kind of progress at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

A Barack Obama-era NIH staffer, Dr. Nicole Kleinstreuer, has been appointed by NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya to be the NIH’s Acting Deputy Director for Program Coordination, Planning, and Strategic Initiatives. Earlier this month, Kleinstreuer told NPR that the NIH has “no intention of just phasing out animal studies overnight.”

The NIH has renewed several controversial animal testing projects initiated by Dr. Anthony Fauci and other NIH staff members.

Israel’s War with Iran Isn’t America’s Fight—And Voters Know It

When Israel launched a surprise military strike on Iran last week, it did more than risk igniting a catastrophic regional war. It also exposed long-simmering tensions in Washington—between entrenched bipartisan, pro-Israel hawks and a growing current of lawmakers (and voters) unwilling to be dragged into another Middle East disaster.

“This is not our war,” declared Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), one of the House’s most consistent antiwar voices. “Israel doesn’t need U.S. taxpayers’ money for defense if it already has enough to start offensive wars. I vote not to fund this war of aggression.” On social media, he polled followers on whether the U.S. should give Israel weapons to attack Iran. After 126,000 votes (and 2.5 million views), the answer was unequivocal: 85% said no.

For decades, questioning U.S. support for Israel has been a third rail in Congress. But Israel’s unprovoked attack on Iran—coming just as the sixth round of sensitive U.S.-Iran nuclear talks were set to take place in Oman—sparked rare and unusually direct criticism from across the political spectrum. Progressive members, already furious over Israel’s war on Gaza, were quick to condemn the new offensive. But they weren’t alone.

Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) called Israel’s strike “reckless” and “escalatory,” and warned that Prime Minister Netanyahu is trying to drag the U.S. into a broader war. Rep. Chuy Garcia (D-IL) called Israel’s actions “diplomatic sabotage” and said, “the U.S. must stop supplying offensive weapons to Israel, which also continue to be used against Gaza, & urgently recommit to negotiations.”

Rep. Summer Lee (D-PA) was even more blunt. “The war criminal Netanyahu wants to ignite an endless regional war & drag the U.S. into it. Any politician who tries to help him betrays us all.”

More striking, however, were the critiques from moderate Democrats and some Republicans.

Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA), a longtime advocate for requiring congressional approval before the U.S. gets involved in new wars, blasted Israel for jeopardizing planned U.S.-Iran diplomacy. “The American people have no interest in another forever war,” he wrote. Sen. Jack Reed (D-RI), Ranking Member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, warned that strikes “threaten not only the lives of innocent civilians but the stability of the entire Middle East and the safety of American citizens and forces.”

Some pro-Israel Democrats are feeling comfortable speaking out on this conflict because it fits their anti-Trump critique. Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-WA) said:

We are at this crisis today because President Trump foolishly walked away from President Obama’s Iran nuclear agreement under which Iran had agreed to dismantle much of its nuclear program and to open its facilities to international inspections, putting more eyes on the ground. The United States should now lead the international community towards a diplomatic solution to avoid a wider war.”

Adding to this diverse chorus of opposition are some Republicans from the party’s non-interventionist wing. Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) declared, “War with Iran is not in America’s interest. It would destabilize the region, cost countless lives, and drain our resources for generations.” Rep. Warren Davidson (R-OH) lamented that “some members of Congress and U.S. Senators seem giddy about the prospects of a bigger war.”

Brave New World Order: Digital Oligarchs And The Rise Of The Algorithmic Leviathan

In an unprecedented fusion of corporate and military power, the US Army has commissioned OpenAI, Meta, and Palantir executives as officers in its new “Detachment 201.” These architects of commercial AI now shape battlefield algorithms as uniformed decision-makers, accelerating a dangerous monopoly over lethal technologies by unaccountable tech giants.

The Corporate Colonels: Who Commands “Detachment 201”

At te helm of this radical experiment stands Lieutenant Colonel Shyam Sankar, Palantir’s Chief Technology Officer. A Cornell computer science graduate who joined Palantir in 2008, Sankar engineered the Gotham and Foundry platforms that became the Pentagon’s operational backbone – processing targeting data for drone strikes and managing NATO logistics. His 2023 declaration that “algorithms must own the kill chain” foreshadowed his current role: as the highest-ranking officer in Detachment 201, he now integrates Palantir’s technology into next-generation weapons while his company profits from the contracts.

Alongside him, Major Andrew “Boz” Bosworth brings Meta’s surveillance expertise to the battlefield. The Harvard-trained engineer (Facebook’s 12th employee) built the data-harvesting infrastructure fueling Meta’s $140B ad empire. As Meta’s CTO, he championed AI development under the motto “efficiency over ethics,” overseeing facial recognition systems that now identify combatants in Ukraine. His commission grants unprecedented military access to global social data – precisely the resource needed to train Meta’s battlefield AI.

Major Kevin Weil, OpenAI’s Chief Product Officer, represents the generative AI revolution. A Stanford physics graduate who monetized Instagram and Twitter, Weil now commercializes ChatGPT for OpenAI while managing its partnership with defense contractor Anduril Industries. His product expertise bridges Silicon Valley and the Pentagon, enabling rapid militarization of large language models for psychological operations. Weil publicly justified abandoning OpenAI’s “no weapons” pledge by claiming Ukraine “proves AI saves lives” – a stance that smoothed his path to uniform.

Completing the quartet is Bob McGrew, former OpenAI Research Director. With a Stanford PhD in computer science and prior experience at Palantir, McGrew led safety research on autonomous agents – technology directly applicable to drone swarms. His quiet departure from OpenAI coincided with its military pivot.
