This is the darkness in the heart. The source of Ego Death and Suffering. Jesus came to show us how to extinguish the darkness… accept the light and to break the chains of the prisoners.
This Darkness was talked about in the Parable of the Garden when Adam and Eve ate the Apple… accepted the darkness into themselves and fell from Heaven.
