JD Vance is reinforcing an extremely distasteful (biting tongue on the urge to use "nefarious," for now) tendency that he has from time to time to appear to undermine President Trump:

  1. In the referenced link, OP posts a video where, in response to an inquiry about what advice he gave the President, JD says he told the President to trust his instincts.

Note to JD: IF the President asked for your input, it was not to get your approval on his instincts, it was to assess yours. Notably, you did not inform the President that you trust his instincts, at least not in what you said to millions of people on Fox in the linked post. That would be a vote of your confidence in his judgment.Rather, you left yourself an off-ramp in case things blow up. You said you told the President, as if he were a 5th grader going up in front of the class for the first time, that he should "believe in himself."

That way, if things go great with what happens in Iran, you get a star. AND if things go wrong, you can say, "Well, I never said I agreed with the strategy."

Hedging your bets, JD?

Your "take cover" approach does not instill trust in you as reliable, trustworthy, and possessing of tried and true, good judgment or instincts - in this phase of America's assessment of you as our next Commander in Chief, i.e., during your probationary period. You do not have the successful builder in NY's cutthroat construction induatry or the survivor instincts in the corrupt political minefield that POTUS has, let alone his political and real life resiliency and endurance while withstanding attack after attack after attack from multiple fronts simultaneously year after year after year.

You were plucked from among many similarly situated wanna be's and shoved POTUS' way by his son, Jr, and P. Thiel, per reports.

So, the least you can do is tell the world that YOU BACK POTUS. That YOU TRUST his instincts, not that you told him, as if he were a child, to trust his own instincts - as if he needs to hear that from you in order to do so - and as you conveniently allowed yourself distance from them, should that distance come in handy, after the decisions were made and acted on.

  1. Another time JD Vance showed a shocking lack of confidence on our President is when parts of a confidential Signal chat between the members of the Trump admin intelligence, military, and WH sectors were published by Atlantic reporter Jeffrey Goldberg ("accidentally" added to the chat by the now dismissed National Security Adviser Mike Waltz) about a potential strike on the Houthis a few months ago.

There, JD said he wasn't sure that POTUS appreciated that such an attack would be inconsistent with his stated policy in the region !!!

"I am not sure the president is aware how inconsistent this is with his messageon Europe right now. …"

Really?

Again, JD is arrogantly treating President Trump as if he were a 5th grader in front of a high level group of Trump officials and, unfortunately for JD, ultimately the world.

How could President Trump not "appreciate" what the stated policy or message was … and … what the discussed strike was?

And how could JD really believe that his "warning" about POTUS' "lack of awareness" would not land as anything other than aglaring spotlight on JD Vance's lack of appreciation and awareness of who POTUS has been, is, and will be - in dramatic contrast to who JD has been, is, and may - or may not - be?

These, and other of, JD Vance's words and behaviors continue to invite a "maybe not" vote in this Anon's mind, much like President Trump's already luke warm "we'll see" response to a reporter's question about whether POTUS expects to support JD Vance in 2028.
