Trump says 'there are many targets left' after US bombing strike on Iran's nuclear facilities

"There will be either peace or there will be tragedy for Iran, far greater than we have witnessed over the last eight days."

"A short time ago," Trump said, "the US military carried out massive precision strikes on the three key nuclear facilities in the Iranian regime for do Natanz and Esfahan. Everybody heard those names for years as they built this horribly destructive enterprise. Our objective was the destruction of Iran's nuclear enrichment capacity and a stop to the nuclear threat posed by the world's number one state sponsor of terror.

"Tonight, I can report to the world that the strikes were a spectacular military success. Iran's key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated. Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now make peace. If they do not, future attacks will be far greater and a lot easier.

"For 40 years, Iran has been saying, Death to America, Death to Israel. They have been killing our people, blowing off their arms, blowing off their legs, with roadside bombs. That was their specialty. We lost over a thousand people and hundreds of thousands throughout the Middle East and around the world have died as a direct result of their hate. In particular, so many were killed by their general Qasem Soleimani.

"I decided a long time ago that I would not let this happen. It will not continue. I want to thank and congratulate Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu. We worked as a team like perhaps no team has ever worked before, and we've gone a long way to erasing this horrible threat to Israel. I want to thank the Israeli military for the wonderful job they've done, and most importantly, I want to congratulate the great American patriots who flew those magnificent machines tonight and all of the United States military on an operation the likes of which the world has not seen in many, many decades.

"Hopefully we will no longer need their services in this capacity. I hope that's so. I also want to congratulate the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan "Raisin" Kane, spectacular general and all of the brilliant military minds involved in this attack. With all of that being said, This cannot continue.

"There will be either peace or there will be tragedy for Iran, far greater than we have witnessed over the last eight days. Remember, there are many targets left. Tonight's was the most difficult of them all, by far, and perhaps the most lethal. But if peace does not come quickly, we will go after those other targets with precision, speed and skill, most of them can be taken out in a matter of minutes.

"There's no military in the world that could have done what we did tonight, not even close. There has never been a military that could do what took place just a little while ago. Tomorrow, general Cain, Secretary of Defense, Pete hegseth, will have a press conference at 8am at the Pentagon, and I want to just thank everybody, and in particular, God, I want to just say we love you God and we love our great military protect them. God bless the Middle East. God bless Israel and God bless America. Thank you very much."

Israel began the boming campaign against Iran on June 13 and encouraged the United States to get involved as well, stating that they needed ordinance that could only be dropped by US planes. Trump did not immediatately say that he intended to join American's close Mid-East ally, but spoke about his interest in an end to the conflict, not a ceasefire.

Russia conducts heavy missile and drone strike on Ukrainian military airfield – MOD

The attack also hit an energy facility that supplies fuel to Kiev’s forces, the Defense Ministry in Moscow has said

The Russian military struck a military airfield and energy infrastructure in Ukraine in an overnight attack involving missiles and kamikaze drones, the Defense Ministry in Moscow has reported.

In a statement on Saturday, the ministry said that the attack, which was carried out with high-precision air-, land-, and sea-based weapons, as well as explosive-laden unmanned aerial vehicles, targeted the infrastructure of a military airfield and an energy facility that supplied Ukrainian forces in Donbass with fuel.

“The goal of the strike has been accomplished. All designated targets have been hit,” Russian military officials reported, without disclosing the location of the targets.

In a separate statement on Saturday, the ministry claimed that Russian warplanes, drones, missiles, and artillery had destroyed several UAV production workshops, as well as ammunition depots in Ukraine.

Ukraine, meanwhile, reported a massive Russian strike on energy infrastructure in the city of Kremenchuk in Poltava Region.

The Ukrainian military estimated that Russia deployed nearly 300 kamikaze drones, and eight missiles in its overnight attack.

In recent weeks, Russia has launched a series of strikes, targeting Ukrainian military-related facilities, after Kiev significantly ramped up its own cross-border drone strikes. Moscow has described the escalation as Kiev’s attempt to derail the ongoing Russia-Ukraine peace talks.

On Tuesday, Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed that a combined strike, similar in style to the one reported on Saturday, hit military-industrial facilities in Kiev Region, as well as in the Ukrainian-controlled part of Zaporozhye Region.

‘One for the ages’: UFC rocked as icon retires on the spot

Jon Jones, regarded as the greatest mixed martial arts champion of all time, has retired, UFC CEO Dana White has announced.

Jon Jones, regarded as the greatest mixed martial arts champion of all time, has retired, UFC CEO Dana White announced on Sunday morning Australian time.

White said that 37-year-old Jones informed the UFC of his decision to retire the day prior.

A heavyweight title unification bout between Jones and interim champion Tom Aspinall had been touted, but Jones’ decision elevates Aspinall to undisputed champion.

“Jon Jones called us last night and retired,” White said at a press conference in Azerbaijan.

“Jon Jones is officially retired. Tom Aspinall is the heavyweight champion of the UFC.”

White went on to say that the UFC will work with Aspinall on finding him his first title defence, but Jones is yet to comment publicly on the announcement.

The American (28-1) moved up from the light heavyweight division to become the heavyweight champion in 2023.

He defended his belt once during his time on top, against Stipe Miocic at UFC 309 in November last year, and had repeatedly played down talk about an impending fight against Aspinall.

The potential matchup would have been one of the biggest in UFC history, but Jones continually suggested it would not change his legacy.

Fans accused him of ducking the 32-year-old Englishman, and there was so much outrage that an online petition to strip Jones of the title collated more than 200,000 signatures.

Pelosi raked in millions last year — and her portfolio out-performed every large hedge fund with stunning returns

She might be the She-Wolf of Wall Street.

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-California) raked in between $7.8 and $42.5 million in 2024 — meaning her estimated net worth with venture capitalist hubby Paul Pelosi could now top out at $413 million, new financial disclosures showed.

The staggering sum is an eye-popping jump from 2023, when financial disclosures showed the couple’s net worth topping out at a possible $370 million.

Pelosi’s exact net worth is not known because lawmakers are only required to disclose ranges.

Market research firm Quiver Quantitative, which estimates a single figure based on daily stock values it tracks, placed the pair’s 2024 worth at $257 million — up $26 million from a year earlier.

But the value of their various other ventures — which include but are not limited to a Napa Valley winery, ownership in a political data and consulting firm and a stake in a Bay area Italian restaurant — mean Pelosi’s worth could be far higher in the estimated range.
