Report: Iran Fires at U.S. Bases in Qatar, Iraq; Missiles Intercepted
Joel B. Pollak23 Jun 2025
(Did Iran notify Qatar there were going to do since Qatar warned the base to take cover an hour before?)
Iran fired ballistic missiles at U.S. bases in Qatar and Iraq on Monday, according to reports from the region, though the missiles were apparently intercepted without doing damage.
Iranian state television apparently confirmed the launch of at least ten ballistic missiles.
Iran had been threatening retaliation against U.S. bases in the Middle East in retaliation for the U.S. attack this weekend on Iran’s nuclear sites at Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz.
The U.S. had moved air and naval assets out of harm’s way in anticipation.
Iran claimed that it had actually hit Al-Udeid base, a major U.S. base in Qatar.
President Donald Trump had spoken to American troops at the base during his Middle East visit earlier this year. The U.S. moved air assets away from the base last week, apparently in anticipation of an attack (or retaliation for a U.S. strike on Iran).
Likewise, the U.S. Navy had dispersed ships that had been docked in Bahrain, minimizing the risk of damage.
The Jerusalem Post reported:
Iran on Monday night fired 10 ballistic missiles at the US Central Command (CENTCOM)’s Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar and one ballistic missile at an American base in Iraq in retaliation for Washington’s attack on three Iranian nuclear sites on Sunday morning, multiple sources told The Jerusalem Post.
Social media showed a slew of anti missile interceptors fired by American forces to try to shoot down the threats and explosions were heard over Doha, Qatar’s capital on Monday evening.
…
Air defense systems were activated in Ain al-Asad Air Base in Iraq, a US military source told Reuters. A maximum alert status was declared with personnel ordered to take shelter in bunkers, the source added.
President Donald Trump had threatened massive retaliation against Iran in the event that it attacked U.S. bases or Americans anywhere in the world. Those threats came before the U.S. attack on Iran’s nuclear sites.
However, in the event of a perfunctory response by Iran, Trump might decide not to respond in turn. That was his approach after the U.S. killed Iranian terror general Qasem Soleimani in 2020.
When Iran launched missiles against a U.S. base in Iraq, without killing soldiers, Trump decided not to respond — though his rival, then-candidate Joe Biden, accused Trump of having ignored head injuries to American troops on the base.
In that vein, the New York Times reported Monday: “Three Iranian officials familiar with the plans said that Iran gave advanced notice to Qatari officials that attacks were coming, as a way to minimize casualties.”
Qatar confirmed that it had been attacked, and protested against what it called a violation of its sovereignty. It also found a way to blame “Israeli escalation in the region” for the Iranian attack on a U.S. base.

Iran Threatens Head of U.N. Nuclear Agency for Revealing Extent of Illicit Enrichment
Christian K. Caruzo23 Jun 2025
Ali Larijani, an advisor to Iranian “supreme leader” Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, threatened the head of the International Atomic Nuclear Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, this weekend, vowing to “settle accounts” with him following the end of the current conflict.
“Once the war is over, we will settle accounts with Grossi,” Larijani wrote in Farsi on his official Twitter account on Saturday.
Grossi, an Argentine career diplomat, has led the IAEA since December 2019 and oversaw inspections on Iran’s nuclear site in the past. The international organization has repeatedly warned throughout the year that the rogue Islamic regime had accelerated its enrichment of uranium and on July 12 declared Iran in breach of its nuclear non-proliferation obligations for the first time in nearly 20 years.
The recent public threats issued by Larijani against Grossi come after both Israel and the United States launched strikes against Iran’s nuclear sites and days after Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei accused Grossi of “betraying” the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and turning the IAEA into a “partner to the unjust war of aggression against Iran.”
“You betrayed the non-proliferation regime; You’ve made IAEA a partner to this unjust war of aggression; You turned IAEA into a tool of convenience for non-NPT members to deprive NPT members of their basic right under Article 4. Any clear conscience?” Baghaei wrote on social media on Thursday.
Grossi reportedly told CNN last week that the IAEA’s reports on Iran’s nuclear program are not directly related to Israel’s decision to launch a strikes against Iran’s nuclear and missile infrastructure.
“A report on nuclear verification in Iran can hardly be the basis for military action,” Grossi reportedly said. “Military action, whoever it comes from, is a political decision that has nothing to do with what we say.”
Grossi, speaking to Argentina’s Radio Mitre last week, detailed that Iran possesses enough material to manufacture anywhere between six to eight nuclear bombs, but stressed that this does not mean that Iran currently possesses a complete nuclear weapon.
“They already have it [the material], they already have it. That is to say, they have not accumulated 90 percent, but if they want to do so, it is a step further, let’s say,” Grossi explained.
The threats against Grossi, an Argentine national, are notable as Argentina was the victim of two terrorist attacks in the 1990s committed by Iran through its proxy, the Shiite jihadist organization Hezbollah.
In 1992, Iran, through Hezbollah, carried out a suicide bombing against the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires, killing 29 and leaving over 240 injured. In 1994, Hezbollah carried out an even deadlier bombing attack against the headquarters of the Argentine-Israeli Mutual Association (AMIA), killing 85 dead and leaving hundreds injured.
The 1994 AMIA bombing was the deadliest terrorist attack in the Western Hemisphere prior to the September 11, 2001, attacks. After 30 years’ worth of convoluted and cumbersome judicial proceedings, Argentine Federal Courts finally ruled in April 2024 to declare Iran and Hezbollah responsible for both attacks.
Last week, President Javier Milei declared Iran an enemy of Argentina in remarks given during a broader local interview in which he reiterated his support of Israel, stressing that “Israel accepts that other countries exist, Iran does not accept that Israel exists.”
“114 dead, come on, it [Iran] is an enemy of Argentina,” Milei said during the interview after recounting the two terrorist attacks in the 1990s.
(This all sounds like cosplay, it really does. Bizarro!)

Iran spoke to US envoy Steve Witkoff in bid to end crisis with Israel, diplomats say
US President Donald Trump wants Tehran to end uranium enrichment on its soil, while Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has said Tehran's right to enrichment is non-negotiable.

JUNE 19, 2025 18:40
US special envoy Steve Witkoff and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi have spoken by phone several times since Israel began its strikes on Iran last week, in a bid to find a diplomatic end to the crisis, three diplomats told Reuters.
According to the diplomats, who asked not to be identified due to the sensitivity of the matter, Araghchi said Tehran would not return to negotiations unless Israel stopped the attacks, which began on June 13.
They said the talks included a brief discussion of a US proposal given to Iran at the end of May that aims to create a regional consortium that would enrich uranium outside of Iran, an offer Tehran has so far rejected.
US and Iranian officials did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment on the matter.
This week's phone discussions were the most substantive direct talks since the two began negotiations in April. On those occasions, in Oman and Italy, the two men exchanged brief words when they encountered each other after indirect talks were held.
A regional diplomat close to Tehran said Araghchi had told Witkoff that Tehran "could show flexibility in the nuclear issue" if Washington pressured Israel to end the war.
A European diplomat said: "Araghchi told Witkoff Iran was ready to come back to nuclear talks, but it could not if Israel continued its bombing."
Other than brief encounters after five rounds of indirect talks since April to discuss Iran's decades-old nuclear dispute, Araghchi and Witkoff had not previously held direct contacts.
A second regional diplomat who spoke to Reuters said "the (first) call was initiated by Washington, which also proposed a new offer" to overcome the deadlock over clashing red lines.
A right to uranium enrichment
US President Donald Trump wants Tehran to end uranium enrichment on its soil, while Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has said Tehran's right to enrichment is non-negotiable.
Trump has been keeping his cards close to his chest over whether he will order US forces to join Israel's bombing campaign, which it says aims to destroy Iran's nuclear program and ballistic capabilities. But Trump offered a glimmer of hope that diplomacy could resume, saying Iranian officials wanted to come to Washington for a meeting.
He rebuffed President Emmanuel Macron earlier this week when the French leader said Trump had told G7 leaders at a summit in Canada that the United States had made an offer to get a ceasefire and then kickstart broader discussions.
European officials have been coordinating with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who was also at the G7 summit.
Britain, France and Germany, known as the E3 and party to a 2015 nuclear deal between world powers and Iran, held a ministerial call with Araghchi on Sunday. The three countries and the European Union are set to meet him in Geneva on Friday, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei and an EU official said.
Earlier in the week, both Rubio and Araghchi told the Europeans in separate talks about a possible diplomatic initiative, three diplomats said.
A senior European diplomat said what emerged at the G7 was that Trump wanted the operations to end very quickly and that he wanted the Iranians to talk to him, while making clear that they had to accept his demands if they wanted the war to end.
Given the Israeli strikes and Trump's rhetoric, diplomats said Iran was in no position to hold public talks with the US, but that a meeting with the Europeans as a link to try and advance diplomacy was deemed more realistic for Tehran.
(Was Witkoff getting too close to a deal for Israel? Look at the timing!)

BREAKING: Iran Strikes Back
Katie Pavlich
Katie Pavlich
June 23, 2025 12:35 P
UPDATE:The U.S. was not surprised by the attack and Iran reportedly contacted the U.S. before launching the ballistic missiles. No direct hits and no injuries in Qatar or at U.S. Al Udeid Air Base, which was evacuated long before the attacks. Qatar is condemning the attack. Qatari missile defense systems shot down the Iranian ballistic missiles.
“Iran coordinated the attacks on the American air base in Qatar with Qatari officials and gave advanced notice that attacks were coming to minimize casualties, according to three Iranian officials familiar with the plans," the New York Times reports. "The officials said Iran symbolically needed to strike back at the U.S. but at the same time carry it out in a way that allowed all sides an exit ramp; they described it as a similar strategy to 2020 when Iran gave Iraq heads up before firing ballistic missiles an American base in Iraq following the assassination of its top general.”
President Trump was scheduled to be in a White House meeting with his national security team at the time the attacks were launched. He is currently in the Situation Room.
A full statement from the Qatari government:
The State of Qatar strongly condemns the attack that targeted Al-Udeid Air Base by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. We consider this a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the State of Qatar, its airspace, international law, and the United Nations Charter. We affirm that Qatar reserves the right to respond directly in a manner equivalent with the nature and scale of this brazen aggression, in line with international law.
We reassure that Qatar’s air defenses successfully thwarted the attack and intercepted the Iranian missiles. A detailed statement regarding the circumstances of the attack will be issued later by the Ministry of Defense.
We also emphasize that the continuation of such escalatory military actions will undermine security and stability in the region, dragging it into situations that could have catastrophic consequences for international peace and security.
We call for the immediate cessation of all military actions and for a serious return to the negotiating table and dialogue.
Furthermore, the State of Qatar was one of the first countries to warn against the dangers of Israeli escalation in the region. We have consistently called for diplomatic solutions to be prioritized and have stressed the importance of good-neighborliness and avoiding escalation.
We reaffirm that dialogue is the only way to overcome the current crises and ensure the security of the region and the peace of its people.
The base had been evacuated earlier, following established security and precautionary measures, given the tensions in the region. All necessary steps were taken to ensure the safety of personnel at the base, including Qatari Armed Forces members, friendly forces, and others. We confirm that no injuries or human casualties resulted from the attack.
Iran has launched a series of ballistic missiles, currently six total, at U.S. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar as part of Operation Basharat al-Fath. Sirens are also sounding in Kuwait, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Oman the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. Explosions in the air have been reported by witnesses on the ground.
President Donald Trump is scheduled to meet with his national security team in the Oval Office at 1 pm. Over the weekend he warned the regime not to issue a response against U.S. targets.
"There will be either peace or there will be tragedy for Iran far greater than we have witnessed over the last eight days," Trump said. "If peace does not come quickly, we will go after those other targets with precision, speed, and skill."
Prior to taking out Iran's nuclear infrastructure on Saturday night, additional missile defense systems were moved into the region to protect American troops should Iran retaliate. Israel is also helping with the defense.

Elon Musk Reportedly Targets Letitia James In Free Speech Showdown
June 17, 2025
Elon Musk’s social media company X Corp reportedly sued New York Attorney General Letitia James in Manhattan federal court on Tuesday, saying the state’s “Stop Hiding Hate” law tramples the First Amendment by forcing platforms to reveal how they police user speech.
The law, modeled after anow-revised California measure, requires large social networks to publish their content moderation rules and file twice-yearly reports to the attorney general detailing “hate speech” removals, “disinformation” takedowns and other enforcement actions. X argues the disclosures mandate mirrors the California law a federal appeals court partially blocked last year, according to Reuters.
Defining the boundaries of acceptable discourse online “engenders considerable debate among reasonable people about where to draw the correct proverbial line,” the company wrote in its filing, according to Reuters. “This is not a role that the government may play.”
The full filing is not yet publicly available, while X did not respond to a request for comment.
The law obliges any platform with New York users to post plain-language terms of service, spell out how it defines hate or “misinformation,” and submit granular data on flagged posts, appeals and takedowns each April and October.
James, reportedly the lone defendant, did not respond to a request for comment.
Supporters — including the Anti-Defamation League — say the transparency rules answer a surge in online “identity-based harassment,” while Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul hailed the law at its December signing as “giv[ing] consumers the transparency and security they need and deserve.” Neither Hochul’s office nor the ADL responded to requests for comment.
X counters that the reporting scheme could result in New York suppressing speech it considers “highly sensitive and controversial” and stymy free debate,Reuters reported, echoing arguments the Ninth Circuit accepted when it froze enforcement of California’s AB 587 in September.

UPDATE: Authorities Identify Michigan Church Shooting Suspect
by Anthony Scott Jun. 23, 2025 8
(Looks very similar to Butler shooter! Where do they find these guys?)
Screenshot of suspected Michigan shooter
Brian Browning via Wayne County Police Department: Police have identified the gunman who opened fire outside CrossPointe Community Church on Sunday, during a morning service attended by about 150 people.
As The Gateway Pundit previously reported,a 31-year-old man on Sunday opened fire outsidethe CrossPointe Community Church in Wayne, Michigan.
Churchgoers first noticed the gunman driving erratically in the parking lot, and as he exited the vehicle, several parishioners noticed he was wearing a tactical vest and wielding a rifle.
Police Chief Ryan Strong, in a press conference, revealed, “A parishioner struck the gunman with his vehicle as the gunman shot the vehicle repeatedly.
Strong later noted, “At least two staff members shot the gunman, causing the fatal wounds.”
Now, authorities have revealed the 31-year-old gunman hasbeen identified as Brian Anthony Browning, from Romulus, Michigan.
Per NBC News:
A man was shot dead by a security guard on Sunday after he opened fire outside a Michigan church during a service has been identified as a 31-year-old who attended the church with his mother.
Brian Anthony Browning, from Romulus, Michigan, was armed with an AR-15-style assault rifle with more than a dozen magazines of ammunition, a semi-automatic handgun with an extended magazine, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition, Wayne Police Department said in a statement.
“The suspect’s mother is a member of the church, in which he has attended church services two or three times over the course of the last year,” the statement said.
Police said their ongoing investigation suggests “he may have been suffering a mental health crisis” and had no prior contact with law enforcement officers.
There have been no details on the possible motive for the shooting, but police pointed out there was no evidence to suggest it was linked to ongoing conflict in the Middle East, as has been the case in recent attacks across the U.S. The suspect had no previous contacts with the Wayne Police Department or a criminal history.
The news of the shooting initially sparked fears that an Iranian terrorist had carried out the shooting.
However, police have pointed out that the shooting at first glance seems not to be motivated by the recent conflict in Iran.

Iran Executes 4th Alleged Mossad Agent This Year as Spy Crackdown Intensifies==
JUN 23, 2025 13:59
Amid rising regional hostilities, Iran continues executing individuals accused of spying for Israel in what critics describe as politically motivated show trials. Human rights groups warn of a mounting crackdown using forced confessions and expedited death sentences to instill fear and silence dissent.
As tensions between Iran and Israel continue to escalate, Iranian authorities carried out yet another execution of an alleged Israeli spy, bringing the total to four confirmed hangings in 2025 alone. Early Monday morning, Majid Mosayebi was executed by hanging after Iran’s Supreme Court upheld his conviction for allegedly supplying sensitive intelligence to Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency.
Mosayebi's death was reported by Iran’s judiciary via its Mizan Online website, which stated that he had undergone "the full process of criminal procedure" before being sentenced. Officials claimed he had attempted to deliver classified material to Israel and accused him of endangering national security, charges routinely levied against those suspected of espionage in the Islamic Republic.
The execution comes as the conflict betweenIsrael and Iran enters its tenth consecutive day, marked by Israeli airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sitesand aggressive rhetoric exchanged between the two regional powers. Iranian authorities appear to be intensifying internal purges of suspected foreign agents in response.
Mosayebi is the latest in a growing list of individuals executed on similar charges. Just one week earlier, authorities hanged 30-year-old Esmaeil Fekri, who had been accused of contact with Mossad agents and attempting to pass along classified intelligence. His trial reportedly lasted only ten minutes, drawing strong condemnation from international human rights monitors.
In May, Iran executed Pedram Madani, arrested in 2020 for allegedly spying on key Iranian military sites for Israel. In April, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) hanged Mohsen Langarneshin, accused of involvement in the 2022 assassination of IRGC Colonel Sayyad Khodaei.
Rights organizations continue to voice alarm over these executions. Iran Human Rights warned that at least nine more individuals are currently on death row under similar espionage allegations. The organization also reiterated concerns about systemic abuse, noting that forced confessions, often broadcast on state television, are routinely used to justify harsh sentences and eliminate political opposition.
Since 1979, the Iranian regime has faced growing scrutiny for its treatment of political prisoners, many of whom report enduring torture, psychological abuse, and fabricated trials. The recent string of executions is viewed as part of a broader strategy to suppress dissent and signal internal strength amid ongoing regional military escalation.
(As if Mossad doesn’t treat political prisoners of torturing prisoners)
