Trump is trying the same, they are running out of munitions. Other countries do not want to join although they may provide fire power. China and russia are likely helping but will not formally join. The strategy looks like china and others are waiting patiently but for what ? My guess is they are letting them exhaust there munition stocks. Hard to fight a war woth no amunition.
