Six Secret Service agents connected to the Trump assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, last July have been suspended.

The identities of the suspended agents are not known (yet), Fox News host Jesse Watters said on Wednesday evening.

CBS News reported that the six Secret Service personnel were suspended without pay for up to six weeks then placed into restricted duty roles “with less operational responsibility.”

“We aren’t going to fire our way out of this,” Matt Quinn, Secret Service Deputy Director said in an interview CBS News. “We’re going to focus on the root cause and fix the deficiencies that put us in that situation.”

And the alleged child porn that Epstein had on his personal devices is irrelevant to what the public is seeking: documents and evidence about Epstein, where his wealth came from, who aided his criminal and espionage enterprise, who was being blackmailed, and who covered it up.

As the Gateway Pundit exclusively showed yesterday, though: plenty of public evidence could give the DOJ cause to file a criminal investigation into dead alleged child abusers linked to Epstein, to find the clients, uncover more evidence, and get prosecutions.

These GS-13 to GS-15 employees—many of whom wield enormous behind-the-scenes influence over NASA’s billion-dollar programs—represent the backbone of the agency’s managerial and technical power structure, making their exit a potential turning point in U.S. space policy.

According to Politico, 2,694 civil servants are taking early retirements, buyouts, or deferred resignations as NASA is hollowed out from within — a direct result of Trump’s 2026 budget proposal that slashes the agency’s funding by 25% and seeks to eliminate over 5,000 jobs.

The Department of Justice has issued more than 20 subpoenas to doctors and clinics accused of performing gender-affirming procedures on minors.

“Medical professionals and organizations that mutilated children in the service of a warped ideology will be held accountable by this Department of Justice,” said Attorney General Pam Bondi.

This sweeping legal push stems directly from Bondi’s April memorandum.

The memo declares that “gender ideology” has infiltrated American culture and the medical community, causing children to undergo irreversible procedures (puberty blockers, hormone therapy, surgeries) due to “junk science” and political capture by far-left activists.

According to the memo:

• The DOJ will investigate and prosecute any gender-affirming surgery on minors as a potential violation of FGM laws under 18 U.S.C. § 116, which carries up to 10 years in prison per count.

• DOJ will investigate drug companies and doctors for mislabeling or misbranding puberty blockers and hormones.

• The DOJ will coordinate with state Attorneys General to prosecute hospitals and physicians under both federal and state laws banning gender transitions for minors.

Two Republican U.S. Congressmen have written a letter calling on the Canadian government to better manage its forests after wildfire smoke impacted air quality in the U.S. states of Wisconsin and Minnesota.

“We write to you today on behalf of our constituents who have had to deal with suffocating Canadian wildfire smoke filling the air to begin the summer,” begins a July 7 letter from Wisconsin Representative Tom Tiffany and Minnesota Representative Brad Finstad to U.S. Ambassador to Canada Kirsten Hillman.

In the letter, the two House representatives ask how the Canadian government plans to mitigate wildfires and stop the smoke that can drift south. They say that while a “key driver” of wildfires has been a “lack of active forest management” there have also been cases of arson that have sparked large wildfires.

The representatives go on to say that their constituents had been limited in their ability to go outside and due to wildfire smoke from Canada impacting air quality. “Given the significance of this issue, we urge you to relay this message to your government, in particular Natural Resources Canada and the Canadian Forest Service,” they said.

In a post on social media, Tiffany said several other Minnesota and Wisconsin representatives had joined the letter as well.

In a paper published jointly by the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at the Carleton University and the Canadian Global Affairs Institute, former top officials from different areas of the federal government have examined the potential economic gains from the deal, while also analyzing the factors that could hamper its fulfilment.

The authors said the partnership offers “significant strategic and economic promise,” while adding its success is “far from assured.”

“Fiscal realities, political resistance, and structural challenges on both sides will likely slow or limit progress toward the ambitious goals set out in the agreement,” the report says.

While Carney had not yet appointed a principal secretary since he was sworn-in as prime minister in March, some media outlets had reported that Lametti would become Carney’s top adviser this July.

Lametti previously served as minister of justice and attorney general of Canada from 2019 to 2023. He also served as Liberal MP for the LaSalle-Émard-Verdun riding in Montreal from 2015 until he stepped down from politics at the end of January last year following his removal from cabinet by then-Prime Minister Justin Trudeau during the summer 2023 cabinet shuffle.

After leaving politics last year, Lametti joined one of Canada’s largest law firms, Fasken, as counsel. In his July 9 social media post, Lametti said he “loved every minute” of his time at Fasken,.

According to the Hindustan Times, Laddi lives in Punjab and has been accused of "orchestrating several violent attacks" in the state, including at least one assassination. India's National Investigation Agency announced a ₹10 lakh ($16,000 CAD) reward for his arrest in 2024, and he remains one of the most wanted men in the country.

Alberta appoints first commissioner for new drug intervention body

Alberta has named Jonathan Carlzon as the first commissioner of the Compassionate Intervention Commission, part of its plan to address addiction and mental health challenges with new legislation aimed at helping individuals at risk of harming themselves or others.

Carlzon, a lawyer with 23 years of experience in administrative and ethics law, litigation, and adjudicative work, will begin his three-year term on August 11.

His appointment comes as the province begins implementing the Compassionate Intervention Act, which was passed in the spring.

The act allows family members, health professionals, or law enforcement to request treatment for individuals struggling with severe substance use who pose a risk to themselves or others.

Described by the province as a last-resort option, the new law enables authorities to mandate stabilization, assessment, treatment and aftercare for those who have not responded to previous recovery efforts. Continue…

Prime Minister Mark Carney is under pressure from Washington to make an EV U-turn.

Canada’s electric vehicle mandate is under fire from Washington — and if it falls, one of the biggest losers could be Elon Musk.

That’s because the mandate, a climate change policy from the Justin Trudeau era, requires carmakers to hit 20 percent EV sales by 2026, or else buy credits from companies that have exceeded the goal. In Canada, that means they have to buy credits from Tesla, because it only sells EVs.

And the policy is bedeviling Prime Minister Mark Carney’s attempt to forge a trade deal with President Donald Trump.

Carney is pursuing a new economic and security agreement that persuades Trump to remove, or significantly reduce, 25 percent tariffs on Canadian autos that aren’t covered by the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, plus similar levies on steel and aluminum.

“The auto sector is saying, ‘If we’re going to stay in Canada, you must get rid of this EV mandate,’” a Canadian government official with direct knowledge of Canada’s negotiating strategy told POLITICO. Continue…

An investigation into an attack that seriously injured an eight-year-old girl in the town of Quadeville, Ont., took an unexpected and terrifying turn after OPP arrested a 17-year-old male yesterday and charged him with attempted murder and sexual assault with a weapon on a person under 16 years old.

“This has definitely been a tough one for our officers, as it has been for the entire community,” an OPP spokesman told National Post. “Sometime people forget that many police officers are also parents.”

Police had originally suspected an animal attack when the injured child was found by officers from the OPP’s Upper Ottawa Valley detachment along Quadeville Road at around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25. She was transported to hospital and later to a regional trauma centre. She remains under the care of medical professionals.

“During the investigation, the cause of the victim’s injuries was unclear,” police said in a release announcing the arrest. “While early evidence suggested a possible animal attack, investigators did not rule out human involvement. To aid in the investigation, multiple pathology experts were consulted.” Continue…
