'Irrelevant' Whether Iran Actually Decided To Build The Bomb, Rubio Has Said

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Sunday that whether Iran has decided to build a nuclear weapon is "irrelevant," as he was pressed on the lack of evidence that Tehran has taken steps to weaponize its nuclear program.

Rubio made the comment in an interview with CBS News when asked about the fact that US intelligence has no evidence that Iran was seeking a bomb before Israel launched its war on the country.

"That’s irrelevant. I think that question being asked in the media – that’s an irrelevant question. They have everything they need to build a weapon," Rubio said.

In March, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard said that there was no evidence that Iran decided to build a nuclear weapon, and that was still the consensus of the US intelligence community, according to multiple media reports.

Rubio pointed to the fact that Iran was enriching uranium at 60%, which is still below the 90% needed for weapons-grade, as evidence that Iran has the capability to build a bomb, since it could quickly increase to the 90% level.

Iran had made clear when it was engaged in negotiations with the US that it was willing to bring its enrichment level back down to 3.67%, but the US decided to back an Israeli attack instead of pursuing such a deal and ultimately bombed three Iranian nuclear facilities.

Iran took the step to start enriching uranium at 60% in 2021 following an Israeli sabotage attack on its Natanz nuclear facility, which was meant to disrupt negotiations between the Biden administration and Iran that were ongoing at the time.

Rubio later adds in the segment, "Forget about intelligence…they are enriching uranium well beyond anything you need for a civil nuclear program."

Matt Gaetz’s embarrassing texts to his mom about Trump, his personal finances exposed

Former Rep. Matt Gaetz was caught texting his mom for advice on how to deal with President Trump — in a wide-ranging conversation in which the TV host also flexed about his real-estate assets and having “$500,000 in the bank.”

In the 72-second video — surreptitiously filmed by a passenger on a recent flight and posted on TikTok by user ‘tidesofmarch’ — Gaetz’s conversation is in full view, thanks to a zoomed-in screen that made the message text larger.

The user captioned the exchange “POV: You’re sitting behind Matt Gaetz and he’s texting his mommy.”

Gaetz’s mom, Vicky Gaetz, warned the ex-Florida congressman “Don’t be criticizing the president or his actions. He’s trying to keep us safe. That’s his job. MAGA will turn on you. You will lose viewership,” the doting mother warned.

“Your days in congress are over … let’s not mess up the media gig,” she said of his job as host of “The Matt Gaetz Show” on One America News Network he started in January.

“The president has been a very good friend to you. He hates betrayal. Be smart, not stubborn,” his mom admonished.

“I’m trying to guide him, not criticize him,” Gaetz insisted.

“I’ve never been freer to share my views – and I’ll continue to do so. I think about the people who cheered for the Iraq war because they liked Bush. Those people have blood on their hands,” he said.

Vicky advised her son against trying to guide the notoriously independent-minded commander-in-chief, to which Gaetz replied, “Guiding DJT always includes a private and public component … I know how to do it,” he insisted.

The conversation veered into his finances, his mother asking, “how many times do you want to hit the wall?”

Gaetz replied with a flex of his family and assets.

“I’m a happily married man with a son on the way, two penthouse condos, a 1:1 real estate asset to debt ratio … and $500k in my bank account cash,” he touted.

On the topic of Iran, Gaetz claimed the Islamic Republic has “been 3 months away from a nuke since 1992.”

After the exchange went viral, Gaetz responded on X in a lighthearted fashion.

“Apparently someone sitting behind me on a flight recorded me without my knowledge. They found me texting my mother about news of the day, family finances, and working on my laptop,” he wrote.

“Please let this be a reminder to everyone to CALL YOUR MOTHER! (and maybe get a screen protector)”

Gaetz, 43, replied to a question on X about the giant-size text, explaining, “My eyesight has gotten very poor in recent years.”

Gaetz vacated his congressional seat last year when Trump tapped him to become attorney general but withdrew his nomination due to swirling allegations about his personal life — including that he paid two women for sex and had an affair with a 17-year-old.

Ex-Biden Aide Neera Tanden Admits Under Oath to House Oversight Committee That She Controlled Joe Biden’s Autopen

A top former aide to former President Joe Biden testified behind closed doors Tuesday for more than four hours as part of the House Oversight Committee’s investigation into his mental fitness to serve and his White House’s use of an autopen, confirming she was authorized to use the automatic signature device while pushing back on concerns about alleged manipulation or malfeasance.

Neera Tanden, who served as director of the White House Domestic Policy Council, explained in her opening remarks Tuesday that she was given authority to wield the autopen. She said she “was responsible for handling the flow of documents to and from the president” and was authorized to direct autopen use from October 2021 to May 2023 when she was serving as staff secretary and senior adviser to Biden.

Tanden confirmed that during her tenure as White House staff secretary, she oversaw the many documents coming to and from the president’s desk, and she noted that her role included authorization to direct autopen use.

“As staff secretary, I was responsible for handling the flow of documents to and from the president,” she said. “I was also authorized to direct that autopen signatures be affixed to certain categories of documents. We had a system for authorizing the use of the autopen that I inherited from prior administrations. We employed that system throughout my tenure as staff secretary.”

However, Tanden noted that she stopped overseeing autopen use after May 2023, when she became head of the Domestic Policy Council.

My father is a retired Army Officer.

He was EOD. Nuclear. Also worked for Dept of Energy. He still has Q clearance.

We talked last night, and he is astonished by what we just witnessed.

He said “that’s not the way war works, it was too perfect”.

Not just the kinetic aspect of it, but the information warfare and media misdirection, while maintaining the narrative and managing public perception, in addition to juggling untold layers of theater. It was an absolute masterclass in 5th generation warfare (5GW).

I don’t think most people, myself included, can fully wrap their minds around the amount of planning that went into this entire operation, and the amount of variables that had to be accounted for. The air strikes were, without a doubt, the easiest element of this operation. The hard part, was the information/psychological element. The real war, was in the media and on social media. The internet was the battlefield.

He said that witnessing these past two weeks unfold, has made him believe that all parties involved in this conflict, must have already agreed to a deal behind closed doors, and what we just witnessed, was probably a massive scripted theater. A controlled “war”. The US, Iran, Israel, and all the superpowers, including Russia, China, Saudi Arabia, and probably more, were almost assuredly in the loop the entire time.

There was never a real risk of the US MIL getting dragged into a ground war, and WW3 was never going to happen. Trump had the entire war won before it took place, and the entire operation was secure. The deal was already agreed to. The entire thing was scripted, and executed with flawless military precision.

Trump had complete control of the situation the entire time, and warfare has advanced into an entire new realm, far beyond the comprehension of the public.
