^Is this a strawman argument?
Thank you.
I thought the definition of a strawman argument was vague, and of course, I knew that intentional misleading was not good, so I thought I'd ask questions to see if I could get to the essence of it.
In the end, the problem with straw man arguments is intentionally straying from the essence or intentionally misleading someone.
^?
But I wonder if this essence is ultimately something that each individual defines…
This is because I think there are cases where what individuals perceive as essential is different.
So is the problem with this series of events that the person who said it was straw man argument was actually using a straw man?
But I don't know if this was intentional or not.
So perhaps the important thing is to continue asking questions and discuss the essence and what is correct?
Hmmm…
