The sheriff said they didn't know if it was one, two, three, or four.
Kootenai County Sheriff [press conference]: Based on the preliminary information, we believe that is the only shooter [found deceased] that was on that mountain at that time. So there is no threat to the community at this time. Based on the trajectory, and based on the type of weapons that this individual had that we could recover, we believe only the one shooter.
Kootenai County Sheriff: There was a gentleman that made the 911 call [reporting the fire]. He did not identify himself as the shooter. As of right now, we don't believe that he's the one that made the 911 call.
Reporter: You did say there was a gun found. What kind was that?
Kootenai County Sheriff: We're not releasing that right now, just because we had to scoop everything up so quickly, we could not preserve the scene, like traditionally we would like to. We believe that there's a likelihood that when we are able to enter the scene tomorrow without the threat of fire, we'll find other weapons that were placed.
