Tesla just flipped the switch in Europe. After five straight months of bleeding market share, June came in hot. The Model Y is back in volume, and the numbers are loud. UK registrations jumped 224% month over month. Spain tripled. In the Netherlands, Tesla didn’t just top EVs. It became the best-selling brand across all segments. That’s not a rebound. That’s a reset.

Start with the UK. Tesla’s June registrations surged 224% compared to May, according to CarUp data. That spike put Tesla at the top of the EV leaderboard for the month. The Model Y led the charge. It had been largely absent in Q1 due to supply constraints. Now it’s back in volume. The turnaround is visible in the tape.

Spain followed the same arc. June sales hit 2,632 units, up 60.7% year over year. Model Y deliveries rose 127.2% to 1,179 units. That’s the highest monthly total since late 2023. Tesla now holds the top EV spot in Spain for the first time this year. The broader electrified vehicle market in Spain more than doubled in June. Tesla rode that wave and then some.

The Netherlands was the knockout. Tesla became the best-selling car brand in the country across all categories. Not just EVs. All cars. That hasn’t happened since 2022. The Model Y was the driver again. The ramp came fast. The volume came clean. No discounting. No gimmicks. Just delivery.

Norway stayed strong. Model Y registrations hit 5,004 units in June, up 115.3% year over year. That’s a 54% jump in total Tesla registrations. The country remains Tesla’s most consistent European stronghold. Sweden was mixed. Year-over-year sales dropped 70%, but market share rose 72% from May. Tesla now holds 8.6% of the Swedish EV market.

This isn’t a full European recovery. But it’s a break in the trend. Tesla’s EU sales were down 28% in May. Market share had slipped to 1.2%. Chinese brands were gaining ground. BYD nearly overtook Tesla in April. That pressure hasn’t gone away. But June showed what happens when supply meets demand.

The Model Y refresh is landing. The pipeline is moving. The brand is still volatile, but the product is moving again. That’s what matters.

Ukraine Puts Neo-Nazi In Charge Of Government Institution

The government of Ukraine has named a major fascist ideologist as the new head of its history institution.

Poland has an Institute of National Remembrance established to educate, archive, and prosecute crimes against the Polish nation. It goes back to the General Commission for Research on Fascist Crimes, a body established in 1945 focused on investigating the crimes of the Nazi administration in Poland during World War II. It was later expanded to investigate presumed crimes against Poland under communist rule.

In 2006, shortly after the U.S. instigated 'Orange Revolution', Ukraine under then President Viktor Yushchenko established the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory under the cabinet. It was supposed to have a similar role as the Polish institution. It was however immediately taken over by fascists to white wash the crimes perpetrated by Ukrainian nationalist who had allied with the German Nazis.

In 2010, under the Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, it was downgraded to a research institution led by Valery Soldatenko who opposed fascist Ukrainian nationalism.

After the U.S. instigated coup in 2014 Soldatenko was fired. A number of right-wing nationalist followed to lead the Institute of National Memory. In late 2024 the latest one, Anton Drobobovich, was fired for not being sufficiently radical (machine translation):

Australians recruited for Israel’s ‘weaponised aid’ project in Gaza

A Melbourne company is recruiting Australians to work on a mysterious Israeli and American-backed aid project in Gaza. Could it be the infamous Gaza Humanitarian Foundation?

An ad posted by Claymore Personnel – named after an anti-personnel landmine – promises that successful candidates will “be looked after.”

Workers will have accommodation expenses in Israel covered, operate in American-led teams, and receive payment in US dollars.

While it remains impossible to verify exactly who Claymore is working with, the shortlist of aid agencies that fit Claymore’s description ranges from bad to worse.

There is precisely one self-described ‘aid agency’ thriving in Gaza right now, and that is the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF). Fogbow lags in a distant second place.

The Israeli and American governments back both agencies; both agencies rely on private security contractors to distribute aid; both agencies’ founders are American military and intelligence officials; both have been implicated in massacres at Gaza aid sites.

This month alone, at least 450 have been killed and 3500 injured while waiting for food at sites operated by GHF, a Mossad and CIA-backed front.

Looking for adventure?

Before GHF had begun its Gaza operations on May 27, it was already the subject of condemnation in a joint statement issued by aid agencies. The letter condemned GHF as “a dangerous and politicised sham” and “a blueprint for ethnic cleansing”.

Claymore posted ads on seek.com and on its official website on May 28, a day after GHF hit the ground. The first batch of recruits left for Gaza two weeks later.

Reports of massacres at sites of American-led aid projects did not dampen Claymore’s spirits. Its mission to recruit carried on throughout June, with the ad saying workers deployed to Gaza will have a “3-month contract with strong potential for multiple extensions”.

While most aid sites in Gaza were closing down, prospects for Claymore’s partners were expanding. “A large humanitarian distribution centre is now operating in Gaza”, Claymore’s ad said.

The recruitment agency sought Australian labourers, truck drivers, and forklift operators willing to work for low wages paid in USD ($3250-$6000 monthly). Successful candidates enjoyed full travel sponsorships. The ad on Claymore’s website assured applicants that there would be no police checks. The seek.com ad said otherwise.

On each workday, the workers would be provided with “secure transport” from Israeli accommodation to worksites at “secure zones” in Gaza.

Almost 400 human corpses found piled high in mysterious house of horrors at US-Mexico border

The number of decomposing bodies found stacked in a non-descript building at the Mexico-US border is still rising, according to investigators.

Nearly 400 corpses have been accounted for at the site in Juarez, which is just across the border from El Paso in Texas, including 383 complete human bodies and 6 partial remains, according to the TV station KVIA.

Some of the people found at the suspected secret crematorium are thought to have been dead for three to four years. Stacks of cadavers were found after a tip led authorities on Thursday to a property that looked more like a home than an incinerator.

Most of the dead appeared to have been embalmed, Mexican authorities told reporters during a press conference Monday.

It is unclear why they had not been either buried or incinerated, according to the Border Report.

Owner Jose Luis Arellano Cuaron and an employee will be charged with improper disposal of bodies.

The remains are being checked to ensure the bodies are not victims of murder and more charges could follow.

State officials said many of the bodies appear to have come from six different funeral homes in the sprawling border city, where relatives were given 'ashes' and were under the belief their loved ones had been properly disposed of.

'They constantly received bodies for cremation,' Chihuahua Attorney General Cesar Jauregui said.

'They misrepresented hundreds of times to funeral companies they would be cremating those bodies.'

While the owner appeared to have three licenses to operate at one point, it was unclear whether the operation was in good standing.

The governor of the state of Chihuahua told reporters that the crematorium had been run by 'irresponsible and unscrupulous people who misused these licenses and permits.'

The gruesome discovery also opened the door for closure to the families of hundreds of people who have been missing in the city known for cartel violence.

During the Biden years, many migrants waiting for legal entry into the US were often kidnapped or went missing.

'Of course, all the families and we ourselves were worried and wondered who is there? What bodies are there? Are they identified? The mothers told us, 'My daughter is not there,'" Yadira Cortez, a representative from the Ciudad Juárez Women's Roundtable Network told KFOX.

Army Secretary Fires Entire Corps of Civilian Advisers from Communities Across US

Army Secretary Dan Driscoll has ousted his entire slate of civilian advisers in a sweeping move aimed at clearing space for voices from the tech world, as the service doubles down on its push to modernize with a Silicon Valley-style lens.

On Friday, Driscoll notified the 115 members of the Civilian Aides to the Secretary of the Army program, or CASA, an all-volunteer group that serves as the secretary's eyes and ears in communities across the country, that their roles were being terminated.

"Moving forward, the Civilian Aide Program will focus on leveraging civilian expertise in strategic communications, advanced technology, innovation and digital transformation to advise the Army as we build a force capable of dominating the future fight," Driscoll wrote in a letter to all civilian aides Friday.

The move marks a significant break for the century-old program, whose unpaid members have traditionally served to facilitate connections with local businesses, university campuses and state lawmakers, and help boost recruiting efforts and community outreach.

"One of the big losses is I think the decision is short-sighted," said John Phillips, who was an Atlanta-based aide who worked on recruiting initiatives. "The key things lost are community and industry. We're the conduit to get the Army connected to the local community."

It's unclear how Driscoll plans to reinvent the program – or whether it will remain as large as it has grown in recent years. The shake-up comes as the Army becomes increasingly singular in its focus on emerging technology, drone warfare and deepening ties with Silicon Valley.

Just last month, in a virtually unprecedented move, the service granted direct commissions at the rank of lieutenant colonel to a group of wealthy tech executives from firms including Palantir, Meta and OpenAI.

Meanwhile, behind the scenes, Army planners are quietly trimming down, or outright dismantling, programs seen as peripheral to the service's high-tech future.

While some Pentagon officials and lawmakers have applauded the push toward more rapid innovation, some are quietly worried the Army is becoming too narrowly focused, potentially at the expense of its broader mission, and that recent major decisions about the force are being made without consulting outside of a very cloistered group of officials at the top of the Army hierarchy.

The civilian aide program has long been viewed as uneven, with aides contributing at widely varying levels. Some aides were deeply engaged in local outreach or policy advising, but others were seen as largely symbolic or duplicative, according to officials familiar with the program.

In practice, civilian aides were the Army's means of networking in cities and small towns, often helping coordinate events between the service and external stakeholders, from meetings with local officials and school administrators to attending ribbon cuttings, recruiting fairs and dinners with mayors.

They've also served, in many cases, to figuratively fly the Army's flag or represent the service in areas far from major military installations.

"It was an honor," said Edward Salo, a history professor at Arkansas State University and former CASA, who worked as a liaison between the National Guard, his university and the Reserve Officers' Training Corps. "It felt good to be able to contribute to help the Army in any way possible."

"I hope that they do redo the program to meet the new Army's needs and not let it sit on the back burner," Salo added. "It's an important tool for the secretary and the Army."

Uri Yisrael served as a fighter in Caesarea, the Mossad Special Operations Division, and has a unique record: He lived under an assumed identity for the longest time period – 15 years.

Yisrael and another fighter dubbed "Isaac" (his name is still under censorship) were part of the Ulysses Project – a secret Israeli intelligence project in the 1950s and 1960s.

They were planted as Arabs, married Palestinians, had children and were incorporated into the Palestinian community as businessmen. They were the first to provide intelligence regarding the establishment of Fatah, and took part in the first plans to kill Yasser Arafat and Abu Jihad.

Uri Yisrael's son is 50-years-old today and lives abroad. To this day, he does not know that his father is not a nationalistic Palestinian but an Israeli Mossad agent. He also does not know he has a half-brother: Shai Yisrael, a lawyer, Uri's son from a Jewish woman.

The story begins in 1950, when Isser Harel, then the director of the Mossad, set up a unit called Ulysses, with the purpose of planting agents within the Palestinian refugee community in the West Bank and in the neighboring countries. The recruits were Jewish Zionists, recent immigrants from Arab countries. They joined the secret unit after Harel and his men convinced them it was a "top priority national mission."

It was a brutal mission. Once recruited, some of them before the age of 20, they were completely cut off from their families and sent to live in hidden apartments in Jaffa for a training period of a year and a half. During this time, they practiced their cover stories and studied Islam, espionage and sabotage.

"These were difficult times," said unit director Sami Moria, "when I used to take their mail to their families, one of the mothers would always beg, 'let me see him, even for two minutes, even on the street, even from afar, I just want to know my boy is ok.' And there were tears. Lots of tears. But I couldn't agree, it would disturb their process of formulating a new identity."

Only nine completed the training course and were planted within the Arab-Israeli community. Their purpose was to warn against rebellion, be there should the areas be conquered by the enemy – and go out to the Palestinian communities around the world and Arab countries.

Second man charged after Melbourne childcare worker accused of 70 offences

Police investigating a Melbourne childcare worker accused of child sex crimes have charged a second man with serious offences, including bestiality.

Michael Simon Wilson, of Wyndham Vale, is also facing charges related to child abuse material and sex offences, according to the Melbourne Magistrates' Court.

He and childcare worker Joshua Dale Brown will next face the court in September.

Mr Brown is facing more than 70 charges allegedly involving children at the Creative Garden Early Learning centre in Point Cook, in Melbourne’s western suburbs, between April 2022 and January 2023.

Police have said there is no evidence to suggest any other staff in any other centre were involved in Mr Brown’s alleged offending.

It comes as the Victorian government has announced it will fast-track reforms to the childcare sector following the charges against Mr Brown.

Tasmanian Liberals promise new state-owned insurance company, TasInsure

The Tasmanian Liberals have announced plans to set up a state-owned insurance company, claiming it would save Tasmanian families hundreds of dollars a year in premiums.

Wearing a branded TasInsure jacket, Premier Jeremy Rockliff has told reporters that the Motor Accidents Insurance Board (MAIB) will be expanded to create TasInsure if the Liberals win government at this month's state election.

The proposed state-owned company would offer home, contents, small business and regional insurance, as well as insurance for community groups and events.

Mr Rockliff described it as the party's most significant announcement of the campaign.

"[Insurance premiums] increased by some 35 per cent in the last two years alone. That's an extraordinary increase that's impacting on many Tasmanians," he said.

"We need cheaper, fairer and our own insurance company here in Tasmania.

"The market nationally has failed Tasmanians and that is evident when you consider that the insurance industry made some $6 billion of profit last year alone."
