President Trump Firm, No More Tariff Extensions Beyond July 8th

July 1, 2025 | Sundance |

There is some interesting information within the video of President Trump aboard AF-1 as he returns from Florida. However, one of the more interesting aspects comes around 05:39 when asked if he was thinking about extending the tariff pause beyond July 8, 2025.

As noted by President Trump, very firmly, no. There isno reason to extend the deadline for reciprocal tariffs beyond July 8th for any country not in direct negotiationsas of that date.

Trump intends to just send them a letter outlining the applied tariff rate and that’s it.Done is done. WATCH: https://youtu.be/YwDN7dfIWXo

This firm date is why India has extended their negotiation team in Washington DC, andis also the reason why Europe is coming Thursday. The baseline tariffs are done, everyone pays 10% regardless of a FTA or not. The reciprocal tariff rate will be applied to those without an FTA effective July 9th.

[The EU (who wants a trade deal now) is eventually going to align with Canada(who will need a trade deal later). This factors into the current trade dynamic and looms over the decision making.]

Paramount, Parent Company of CBS, Settles Trump Lawsuit for $16 Million

July 2, 2025 | Sundance |

President Trump sued CBS for manipulating the video interview of Kamala Harris to fabricate a response and assist the Harris campaign in 2024.

CBS didn’t just shape or modify the interview; they literally moved answers to questions. A Twitter user named @Mazemore was the first to notice one big substantial edit that completely manufacturers a different question and answer.

“The edited version that CBS put on YouTube is a work of art. Mix and match questions and answers.”

(VIA MSM) – Paramount, the parent company of CBS News, has agreed to pay $16 million to settle a lawsuit filed by Donald Trump during last year’s presidential campaign — adecision that is likely to spur both internal and external backlash.

The agreement, announced late Tuesday night, comes after months of negotiation to find an amount that both parties would accept. Trump sued the network in U.S. District Court in Texas in late October, alleging thathis electoral chances were harmed after the network aired two separate versions of an answergiven by then-Vice President Kamala Harris during an interview for “60 Minutes.” (more)

Kiev strips citizenship from head of largest Christian church – SBU

The government has been conducting a crackdown on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church for years

Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky has revoked the citizenship of the seniormost bishop of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC),the SBU security agency reported on Wednesday.

According to the agency,it has evidence that 80-year-old Metropolitan Onufry obtained Russian citizenship in 2002, and thus was no longer eligible to hold Ukrainian citizenship. Zelensky has reportedly ordered the church leader to no longer be considered a Ukrainian national, although his office has yet to publish the decree.

Zelensky’s government has been cracking down on the largest religious organization in Ukraine for years, claiming the measures are necessary due to the UOC’s historic ties with Russia.

The broad campaign of criminal investigations against the clergyhas been accompanied by the seizure of property by supporters of the rival Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU), which is backed by Kiev. The UOC says it is being victimized by the government.

The SBU alleged that Onufry “deliberately opposed canonical independence of the Ukrainian church from the Moscow Patriarchy,”referring to the spiritual connection between the two churches originating from the times of Imperial Russia.

The creation ofthe OCU in 2019 and its recognition by the Patriarch of Constantinople caused a major rift among world’s Orthodox churches. The UOC has been de facto independent from Moscow since the 1990s, but maintained the canonical connection that lent it inter-church legitimacy.

Last year, the Ukrainian parliamentpassed a law that effectively threatened a ban on the UOCunless it cut the spiritual link to Russia.

The UN and international human rights organizations have accused Kiev of overreach and interference with the freedom of religion by mandating a specific way of worshiping God.

Ukraine currently does not recognize dual citizenship, but has no explicit legal prohibition either. However, an adult citizen who becomes a foreign national through means other than marrying a foreigner can be stripped of their citizenship at the president’s discretion.Zelensky previously targeted multiple former Ukrainian officials and political rivalsin this manner, including Viktor Medvedchuk, formerly the leader of the largest opposition party in Ukraine.

(More proof that Kiev and the leaders are Satanic and they are trying to erase religion from the country and replace it with an anti Christian country and church.)

Ex-Ukrainian president accuses Zelensky of ‘authoritarianism’

Pyotr Poroshenko has been personally sanctioned with a ban on foreign travel and restrictions on media access

Former Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko has accused his successor,Vladimir Zelensky, of using state power to suppress political rivals, including himself. The warning about Zelensky’s “authoritarianism” was made in an interview published on Tuesday by The Times.

Poroshenko, who lost a presidential election to Zelensky in 2019, alleged that the current leader has targeted him as a potential electoral challenger. Zelensky, a comedian-turned-politician, surged in the polls by campaigning against corruption and criticizing the government’s failure to resolve the conflict in Donbass. After taking office, he pursued policies that escalated tensions with Russia, before Moscow launched its military operation in 2022.

Now a member of parliament,Poroshenko said he would continue to support Zelensky for the duration of the conflict with Russia, despite being personally sanctioned by Zelensky’s administration in February, which included a ban on foreign travel and restrictions on media access.

Poroshenko told The Times he believes the measures were designed to neutralize political opposition ahead of any potential election that might take place if martial law were lifted. Although polls show Poroshenko trailing behind, with former top general Valery Zaluzhny the likely winner in a hypothetical run, the former president said the measures take against him are part of a broader pattern.

”Today Poroshenko, tomorrow Zaluzhny, [the] day after tomorrow anybody,” he said. “This is authoritarianism.”

The Times disputed Poroshenko’s characterization, describing Ukraine’s political landscape as “diverse and rambunctious.”

In a 2019 presidential debate, Zelensky declared he was “a sentence” for Poroshenko, alluding to possible prosecution for corruption and abuse of power. No trial was conducted, but Poroshenko told the British newspaper thatZelensky hates him personally “on a biological, chemical level.”

Following the interview, Kiev Mayor Vitaly Klitschko visited Poroshenko. The official has previously made similar criticisms of Zelensky. Poroshenko remarked that the current leader risks a surge of public dissent unless he listens to opposing voices.

The Zelensky administration had shuttered opposition media and launched investigations against several political adversaries even before the 2022 escalation, saying it was suppressing “pro-Russian” actors.

After the conflict escalated, Ukraine’s largest opposition bloc in parliament was effectively dismantled, leaving Poroshenko’s European Solidarity party as the second-largest faction behind Zelensky’s Servant of the People party in the Ukrainian parliament.

(Zelensky is so much worse than authoritarian, he’s a genocidal dictator, seizing all the power in government to do his bidding, or they die or are jailed if they don’t do what he says. Thousands of citizens that support Russia have been killed, and Zelensky gave the soldiers orders to just kill them.)

Russian ally names ‘first step’ towards Ukraine ceasefire

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko says the US could order Zelensky to suspend strikes if it truly seeks to end the conflict

The US could pressure Ukraine into halting long-range strikes against Russian territory as a first step toward achieving a comprehensive ceasefire, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said on Tuesday.

Lukashenko recently met with Keith Kellogg, a special envoy for US President Donald Trump. The meeting marked arare diplomatic engagement between Washington and Minskafter years of limited contact.

The Belarusian leader said he sharedhis views with Kelloggon how the Ukraine conflict could be resolved, which he said were based on conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to Lukashenko, Putin wants an end to Ukrainian drones and Western-supplied cruise missiles being launched at Russian cities.“Let them tell their client [Vladimir] Zelensky to stop strikes against Russia. Then we could agree,”Lukashenko stressed, characterizing Moscow’.

”That’s the position I relayed to the American and asked him, ‘Is there something wrong with it?’ He said, ‘We are working in that direction.’ You do that. That would be a good first step toward stoppingthis fratricidal war,” he added.“But I don’t believe they want to end this war.”(The DS and CIA are in charge there, they don’t want it to end)

Kellogg later said on X that “at no point did I make commentsrelated to Ukraine’s prosecution of the war outside of a total ceasefire.” (Yeah because Kiev would kill him if he did say it)

Kiev has pushed for more US sanctions on Russia to punish Moscow for rejecting its calls for a comprehensive truce. Russia has accused Kiev of trying to stall and regroup its forces, and has stated its own conditions for ending hostilities. It has saidKiev can either withdraw troops from disputed territories or suspend mobilization and Western arms shipments. Zelensky has rejected both proposals.

Moscow has proposed several temporary de-escalation measures this year, including a one-month pause in attacks on energy infrastructure, a three-day ceasefire for Easter, and a ceasefire in commemoration of the end of World War II.Kiev refused some of the proposals and failed to fully honor the terms of others, according to Russia.

Belarus remains a key ally of Russia and a target of Western sanctions, which Lukashenko describes as a form of economic warfare aimed at a sovereign nation resisting long-standing external pressure.

France returns military base to Senegal

Paris is withdrawing its troops after the African country scrapped a decades-old defense agreement

France has handed over a military communications base in western Senegal to local authorities after withdrawing its troops, the French embassy has announced. The West African nation’s president, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, called for anend to a decades-old defense pact with the former colonial power last year, declaring it “incompatible” with the country’s sovereignty.

The joint broadcasting station located in Rufisque has been responsible for military communications along the southern Atlantic coast since 1960, the French mission in Senegal’s capital, Dakar, said in a statement on Tuesday.

Paris began pulling out its forces from Senegal in March, during which it transferred the Marechal and Saint-Exupery military facilities to the Senegalese government. In May, the Contre-Amiral Protet camp, located at the port of Dakar, was also returned. A joint commission established by both countries to oversee the process hasstated that the handover of bases and the withdrawal of approximately 350 French troops will be completed by the end of 2025.

The embassy said on Tuesday however that “the last sites will be returned by the end of July 2025, according to the commonly agreed schedule,” as the commission continues efforts to “renew the bilateral defense and security partnership.”

Senegal gained independence from France in 1960 and had long remained one of the French government’s most reliable partnersin West Africa. However, in November, President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, who took office in April 2024, announced his decision to fully remove the French military presence from the country.

Earlier this year, Senegalese Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko saidFrance lacked both the capacity and legitimacy to guarantee Africa’s security and sovereignty. His remarks followed French President EmmanuelMacron’s claim that Sahel states had “forgotten” to thank Parisfor its military intervention against jihadist threats – a statement that sparked widespread anger. (Macron is mad he lost all the black boys he used for sex)

French troops have been expelled from Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger following military coups in the three Sahel countries. Chadalso terminated its defense cooperation agreement with France last year. In February, France transferred the Port-Bouet military camp – its only army base in Cote d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) – to the West African nation’s authorities. Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara claimed in his year-end address in December that the exit of about 600 French troops is intended to modernize the national armed forces.

Pentagon halts weapons supplies to Kiev – media

The US has reportedly paused deliveries of precision missiles, artillery shells, and air defense interceptors as its own arsenal runs low

The Pentagon has suspended shipments of several categories of US-made weapons to Ukraine, according to Politico and NBC News.

The decision reportedly followed an internal review of American weapons reserves ordered byUS Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, amid rising concerns about the rate at which munitions are being depleted.

The move reportedly affects dozens of Patriot missile interceptors, Stinger and AIM air-to-air missiles, hundreds of Hellfire and GMLRS systems, as well as thousands of 155mm artillery shellsthat Washington had previously pledged to Kiev. Some of the weapons which were already positioned in Europe have now been withheld and will be provided to Ukrainian forces, NBC reported.

The weapons in question had been funded under the Biden administration through two mechanisms: direct drawdowns from existing US military stockpiles and the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI), which contracts new production from defense contractors. The Trump administration has not requested any additional aid for Kiev, and existing resources are expected to last only “several more months,”according to Politico.

White House Deputy PressSecretary Anna Kelly defended the move as a necessary step to prioritize American defense needs. “This decision was made to put America’s interests firstfollowing a DOD review of our nation’s military support and assistance to other countries across the globe. The strength of the United States Armed Forces remains unquestioned – just ask Iran,” she said, without confirming any details.

The decision to freeze or slow-walk the remaining aid without formal notice to Congressmay raise legal concerns similar to the 2019 withholding of some Ukraine assistance under Trump’s first administration –a move the Government Accountability Office ruled unlawful at the time, Politico noted.

Kiev has repeatedly voiced frustration over what it sees as dwindling support from Washington. Ukraine’s VladimirZelensky met with President Donald Trump at the NATO summit in The Hague last week but received no firm promises. Trump said Patriots were “very hard to get” and that the US needed them for its own defense and for Israel.

Trump has stated that he intends to negotiate a ceasefire with Moscow and bring the conflict to an end. Hegseth said last month that the White House is reducing military funding for Kiev as part of its “America First” strategy,in the hopes of achieving a diplomatic settlement.

Earlier this year, the Trump administration signed a deal giving the US priority access to Ukraine’s mineral wealth –a step the White House said would allow America to “get back”some of the hundreds of billions spent under Biden.

The Pentagon’s policy shift appears to reflect a broader realignment under Trump, who has publicly questioned the rationale behind endless aid to Ukraine. Russian presidential envoy Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the Direct Investment Fund, noted that the move “highlights the real limits of Western capacity and the shifting priorities of the US military.”
