Multiple people have been injured in a reported shooting at Oglethorpe Mall in Savannah, Georgia.
Savannah Police Department (SPD) confirmed to WTOC TV that multiple people have been shot, and officials are urging the public to avoid the area.
Newsweek has reached out to SPD via email on Wednesday afternoon for comment.
SPD posted on X at 6:37 p.m. ET, "The Savannah Police Department has responded to a shooting at the Oglethorpe Mall that involved several victims. More information will follow as the facts are determined."
Firefighters from the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 574 have also responded to the scene at Oglethorpe Mall, describing it as "an active and dangerous situation."
