>>>23268198 The city commission for Key West, Florida, has voted 6-1 to VOID its immigration enforcement agreement with ICE

"The city will no longer abide by the 287(g) program, which trains local law officers to interrogate and detain illegal aliens for potential deportation."

great! no more interrogations for potential deportations. just straight to the plane and maybe an exit survey.

Something tells me not everyone is going to get deported. While they certainly don't belong here, just as the Democrats see them as a vote, the Republicans see them as human capital…and Trump is a practical business guy.

Illegals that can be made to conform to traditional American values and produce more than they take could be seen as a one-time positive, especially with all the loss of life during Covid and for all the economic growth we'll need going forward.

Sure, the law is the law and I'm not making a case against that. Just trying to read the tea leaves…and remembering Trump telling Mexico that they would be paying for the wall. Well, payback can come in multiple forms.

Another way could be through the Fedwire system, which could bypass the remittance cartel, i.e. lower fees for exporting USD amounts.

Who knows, but certainly a multi-pronged approach and a bunch of obfuscation to come.
