In a rare battlefield development, a very high-ranking general officer for Russia's military has been killed by Ukrainian forces, and it actually happened on Russian soil.

Major General Mikhail Gudkov, deputy commander of the Russian Navy and a brigade leader in the Ukraine war, has been confirmed dead in Russia’s Kursk region, according to a statement Thursday by a Kremlin official.

The news broke when Russian and Ukrainian military Telegram channels reported that Gudkov was killed along with 10 other soldiers in a Ukrainian strike targeting a command post in Korenevo, which lies near the Ukrainian border.

Gudkov is among the highest-ranking Russian military figures killed by Ukrainian forces since the conflict began. A slew of international headlines are reporting his death on Thursday.

Reuters reports the following, citing a Russian regional governor:

Kozhemyako, who said he had spoken to Gudkov a lot over the years, said in a statement that Gudkov had been killed "carrying out his duty as an officer" along with others, and expressed his condolences to the dead men's relatives.

"When he became Deputy Chief of the Navy, he did not stop personally visiting the positions of our marines," Kozhemyako said on Telegram.

The 42-year old general had only been promoted by President Putin to the number two command spot over the Navy in late March, according to the Institute for the Study of War think tank.

According to more emerging details in regional media, "An obituary posted by a Russian Navy servicemen’s organization states that on July 2, 2025, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a missile strike on the command post of the 155th Marine Brigade."

British committed ‘genocide’ against Aboriginal Australians – inquiry

The indigenous population of the state of Victoria suffered “near-complete physical destruction” at the hands of colonists, a report has said

British colonisers committed “genocide” against the Aboriginal people in the Australian state of Victoria after arriving in the area in the early 1830s, a commission investigating injustices against the indigenous population has said.

The colonization of Victoria, Australia’s second smallest state, located in the southeast of the country, took place between 1834 and 1851.

During that period, its indigenous population suffered “near-complete physical destruction,” falling from around 60,000 to 15,000, according to a report released on Tuesday by the Yoorrook Justice Commission.

The crimes by the British in Victoria included “mass killings, disease, sexual violence, exclusion, linguicide [the death of languages], cultural erasure, environmental degradation, child removal, absorption and assimilation,” it said.

“This was genocide,” the commission ruled after holding more than two months of public hearings and listening to accounts by over 1,300 Aboriginals.

The report suggested some 100 recommendations in order to “redress” harm caused to the Aboriginals by “invasion and occupation,” including paying reparations and granting Victoria’s First Peoples’ Assembly decision-making powers.

Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan said in a statement that she welcomed the report and that her government would consider its findings.

“Victoria’s truth-telling process is a historic opportunity to hear the stories of our past that have been buried – these are stories that all Victorians need to hear,” Allan stated.

The head of the Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organization (VACCHO), Jill Gallagher, told ABC that “we do not blame anyone alive today for these atrocities,” but stressed “it is the responsibility of those of us alive today to accept that truth.”

The Yoorrook Justice Commission was established in 2021, becoming the first of its kind in Australia. Similar formal “truth-telling” inquiries are currently taking place in other states.

The Australian Museum said previously there were at least 270 massacres carried out by colonists against Aboriginal Australians between the late 18th and early 20th century “as part of a state-sanctioned and organized attempts to eradicate First Nations people.”

ISSUE: FDA has required and approved updates to the Prescribing Information for Comirnaty (COVID-19 Vaccine, mRNA) manufactured by Pfizer Inc. and Spikevax (COVID-19 Vaccine, mRNA) manufactured ModernaTX, Inc. to include new safety information about the risks of myocarditis and pericarditis following administration of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines.

Specifically, FDA has required each manufacturer to update the warning about the risks of myocarditis and pericarditis to include information about

the estimated unadjusted incidence of myocarditis and/or pericarditis following administration of the 2023-2024 Formula of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines and

the results of a study that collected information on cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (cardiac MRI) in people who developed myocarditis after receiving an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine.

FDA also required each manufacturer to describe the new safety information in the Adverse Reactions section of the Prescribing Information and in the Information for Recipients and Caregivers.

The Fact Sheets for Healthcare Providers and for Recipients and Caregivers for Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine and Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19, which are authorized for emergency use in individuals 6 months through 11 years of age, have also been updated to include the new safety information in alignment with the Comirnaty and Spikevax Prescribing Information and Information for Recipients and Caregivers.

BACKGROUND: Information about myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle) and pericarditis (inflammation of the lining outside the heart) following vaccination with these mRNA COVID-19 vaccines has been included in the labeling since 2021. FDA closely monitors the safety of all vaccines, including the COVID-19 vaccines, during postmarket use.

Suspected adverse events may be reported to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), which is co-managed by the FDA and the CDC.

Trump’s Big Brother Bill Expands The U.S. Surveillance State

Trump’s Big Brother Bill simply represents one more step towards the completion of the Technocratic State.

On Tuesday, US Vice President J.D. Vance helped push Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” Act through the Senate with a tie-breaking vote. Vance’s vote came after Republican Senators Susan Collins of Maine, Rand Paul of Kentucky, and Thom Tillis of North Carolina joined Democrats to vote against the bill, leading to a tie of 50 to 50.

The bill now moves to the U.S. House of Representatives, where Republicans aim to deliver the final version of the bill to Trump’s desk by July 4th.

The 900-page bill has its share of critics on the left and a few on the right, such as Rand Paul and Thomas Massie. One of the measures that was nearly universally opposed was a 10-year ban on local or state regulation of AI. Under a section titled “Moratorium,” the bill stated, ”No State or political subdivision thereof may enforce, during the 10-year period beginning on the date of the enactment of this Act, any law or regulation of that State or a political subdivision thereof limiting, restricting, or otherwise regulating artificial intelligence models, artificial intelligence systems, or automated decision systems entered into interstate commerce.”

This clause would have prevented any state or local political body from enforcing regulations on AI systems. Ultimately, the moratorium was defeated in an all-night voting session.

While a ban on AI regulation would have been potentially disastrous, I believe the focal point of the opposition should be the fact that the bill expands the immigration police state, and the use of Artificial Intelligence, facial recognition, and biometric data collection of Americans.

According to Biometric Update, the bill would “codify a vision of the national security state where biometric surveillance, AI, and immigration enforcement converge at unprecedented scale.”

So what does the bill actually contain?

The One Big Beautiful Bill Act, also known as House Resolution 1, gives more than $175 billion in immigration funding for 2025 alone. While opponents of illegal immigration may cheer this funding, we should take note that $30 billion is for “digital modernization efforts” involving AI and biometric surveillance.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will receive $2.5 billion specifically for artificial intelligence systems, biometric data collection platforms, and digital case tracking.

Under the heading “U.S. Customs and Border Protection Technology, Vetting Activities, and Other Efforts to Enhance Border Security,” the bill gives $637 million for the “deployment of technology, relating to the biometric entry and exit system under section 7208 of the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004”.

The section also states that the funds may only be used for “the procurement or deployment of surveillance towers” after they have been tested and accepted by US Border Patrol.

Christina Formella, a former Downers Grove South High School special education teacher, faces 52 additional charges in a teacher abuse case.

The Formella Indictment, announced on June 17, 2025, includes 20 counts of Criminal Sexual Assault and 20 counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse.

Formella, 30, allegedly abused a 15-year-old student starting in January 2023. The case surfaced after the victim’s mother discovered explicit texts.

Initial Charges and Arrest

Formella, a special education teacher and soccer coach since the 2020-21 school year, faced arrest on March 16, 2025, during a traffic stop in Downers Grove.

On March 15, 2025, the victim’s mother reported explicit text messages on her son’s phone to the Downers Grove Police, detailing an alleged sexual relationship between Formella and the 15-year-old student.

Formella faced initial charges of one count of Criminal Sexual Assault and two counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse.

On March 17, 2025, the court rejected the State’s motion to detain her pretrial, releasing her with conditions that barred entry to Downers Grove South High School and contact with anyone under 18. Formella resigned and surrendered her teaching license soon after.

Greater Manchester Police Investigating 1,000 Child Rape Grooming Gang Suspects, Identify 714 Victims

Greater Manchester Police has made “significant improvements” to how it investigates child rape grooming gangs, but historic failures sees a backlog of over 700 victims and 1,000 suspects now being investigated anew.

A new report by His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services (HMICFRS) into “multi-offender child sexual exploitation” — child rape grooming gangs — states Greater Manchester Police is now investigating historic and current cases and has identified ” 714 victims and survivors, and 1,099 suspects”.

The HMICFRS said they had identified serious failings by the police force in their past conduct over failing to investigate child rapes, but that they were now much better. The report said: “The force’s approach is now significantly different to how it – or any police force – historically responded to child sexual exploitation… and Greater Manchester Police has made significant improvements to how it understands and investigates child sexual exploitation”.

There were still improvements to be made, the Inspectorate said, noting “needs to make sure investigators have the necessary skills for their roles” as “there are ” various training gaps in the investigation team”. Manchester police are aware of these shortcomings, the HMICFRS said, noting they now “need to make sure” this is rectified with better training.

In the past, the report said Greater Manchester Police “didn’t always record a crime when these child sexual exploitation offences were first reported. This meant that it also didn’t investigate these offences”. Of 74 identified historic victims who police had become aware of between 2003 and 2013 some victims’ cases weren’t adequately investigated.”

That we will be able to move on as a nation from the images of burning children, of starving infants, of the impact that bombs left behind, on the lives of many Palestinians, on their scarred bodies, in their hearts and minds, of the impact that a single bullet lodged in the child’s head or heart has over an entire family forever.

We said long ago, we made a choice, to seek justice not vengeance, but we cannot be prevented from seeking either. We cannot continue to be denied our right to life, to liberty, to dignity. We cannot be denied recourse and reparation.

Oxycodone laced flour is not ‘humanitarian aid’ it is bioterrorism

Flooding Gaza with Oxycodone hidden in flour packages and distributed under a false pretence of ‘humanitarian’ intervention feels just about right in terms of the levels of depravity we have come to expect from the ‘most moral army’ in the world.

At a base level, the controversy surrounding the establishment of U.S.-Israeli Aid Centres to distribute aid continues to grow. To date, approximately 549 Palestinian civilians are known to have been killed at these distribution sites when waiting for aid, a number that grows by the hour. Over 4000 have been injured since they became operational in May 2025. Alongside the mass extermination of those waiting in line for the most meagre of handouts, some 39 Palestinians have been disappeared from the centres, an issue that appears to have gone unnoticed globally.

Testimonies from the Israeli Occupation Forces themselves have revealed that military personnel have received orders to deliberately fire on Palestinians waiting in line, whilst Médecins Sans Frontières have described the food distribution scheme ‘as slaughter masquerading as humanitarian aid’.

As reported in the Middle East Eye, the recent revelation that the U.S.-Israeli backed ‘aid’ distribution centres are inserting narcotics into humanitarian flour packages, whilst deeply alarming, will come as little surprise to many. If killing a starved population as they attempt to receive food is the mindset of those responsible for its distribution, the inclusion of Oxycodone within the aid provided is entirely logical.

The seeding of opiates in Gaza by the Israeli occupation is not a new allegation. The Israeli government has been accused several times over the last 2 decades of ‘flooding’ Gaza with drugs, specifically Tramadol in an attempt to both pacify the population and harbour addiction in the region. The issue was brought into sharp focus in a 2010 documentary that highlighted Tramadol use in Gaza in the aftermath of the Israeli ‘Operation Cast Lead’. Then head of the Anti-Drug Task Force, Jamil Al Dahshan noted that the drugs were mostly supplied by Israel, and brought into Gaza indirectly via Egypt.

Similar accusations were made in 2017 by Ahmed Kidera, Head of a local police Anti-Drug Unit in Gaza, who argued that the Israeli authorities ‘turn a blind eye’ to narcotics when they enter Gaza hidden inside commercial goods.

Providing Oxycodone laced flour of unknown concentration to a starving civilian population can only be viewed as a form of bioterrorism. This is the deliberate release of a highly addictive pain medication, in unknown quantities, hidden in flour packages to be consumed by a starving and desperate population. The side effect profile of opiates includes nausea, vomiting, hallucinations, constipation, dizziness and sedation, with the young, elderly and those who are pregnant particularly vulnerable. Studies further suggest an association between Oxycodone exposure in pregnancy and an increased risk of altered foetal growth and preterm delivery, whilst respiratory depression is more likely in the elderly or those with underlying respiratory disease.

Calling the alleged act a ‘heinous crime’ the Gazan Media Office highlighted that the inclusion of Oxycodone was an attempt to undermine, not only the public health in Gaza, but also the very fabric of Palestinian society. Similarly, Palestinian doctor Khalil Mazen Abu Nada, posting on Facebook referred to the presence of oxycodone as a ‘means to obliterate our societal awareness’.

Even in smaller quantities, those who have been exposed can feel emotionally blunted or display numbness, a fact that the Israeli authorities will be banking on in an attempt to break the spirit of a Palestinian population who steadfastly refuse to leave their land. The inclusion of Oxycodone in flour packages is thus straight from the settler colonial playbook, with aid once again being manipulated as a weapon, in this case one that disorientates, blunts and has the potential to subvert an already weak and besieged population.

US Missile Defenses Heavily Depleted in Shielding Israel: report

The U.S. drew down a significant portion of its advanced anti-missile system to bolster Israel’s defense against Iranian aerial attacks during a 12-day conflict in which Israel and the U.S. struck nuclear facilities and Iran retaliated with missile launches, according to defense news outlets and independent analysts.

The Pentagon press office told Newsweek “we have nothing to provide”.

Why It Matters

Israel has long relied on the Lockheed Martin developed Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense, known as the THAAD battery, for shielding against ballistic missiles from Iran or its proxy groups such as the Yemeni Houthis.

The U.S. military operates seven THAAD batteries. An eighth, getting integrated into the Missile Defense Agency, is capable of tracking hypersonic missiles. The THAAD deployment to Israel is part of a broader challenge where supporting allies in conflict zones means using resources that could affect military readiness and future deployment.

What To Know

During the recent Israel-Iran conflict, the United States used an estimated 15 to 20 percent of its global THAAD missile interceptor stockpile, incurring unprecedented costs exceeding $800 million, according to the Bulgarian Military News and Military Watch Magazine outlets.

Iran launched a major missile barrage on cities across Israel in response to attacks on its nuclear and military targets, prompting residents to seek shelter amid nationwide. They included older models such as the Ghadr and Emad, the medium-range Kheibar Shekan and the Fattah-1 hypersonic missile—which travels at up to Mach 15 and is hard to intercept.

The U.S. restocked interceptor missiles for the THAAD system it deployed in Israel in 2024, amid concerns of shortage, The Wall Street Journal reported. A single THAAD interceptor costs about $12-15 million, according to estimates by multiple defense and news outlets.

While the battery costs approximately $1.3 billion, the interceptor cost estimation for 2025 is $18 million for production only, increasing to $27 million with RDT&E (research, development, test, and evaluation) included, Sidharth Kaushal, Senior Research Fellow specializing in Sea Power within the Military Sciences division at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) told Newsweek.

One open-intelligence analyst on X, formerly Twitter, estimated that the value of THAAD missiles used in the conflict exceeded $498 million.

14 Israeli ministers call on Netanyahu to immediately annex occupied West Bank

Fourteen ministers from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud Party called on the premier on Wednesday evening to immediately annex the occupied West Bank, Anadolu reports.

In a letter addressed to Netanyahu and shared by far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich on X, the signatories called on the government “to apply sovereignty over Judea and Samaria (West Bank) before the end of the Knesset summer session,” which concludes on July 27.

The ministers argued that the current “strategic partnership and backing and support of the US and President Donald Trump create a favorable time to lead this move (annexation) now.”

The letter also warned that recognizing settlement blocs while establishing a Palestinian state on the remaining land poses an “existential threat to Israel.”

Among the signatories were the ministers of defense, economy, agriculture, energy, communications, transportation, justice, tourism, innovation, culture, diaspora affairs, education, social equality, regional cooperation, and Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana.

Which companies are fuelling Israel's war on Gaza?

The report identifies over 60 companies, many based in the United States and Europe, as directly or indirectly supporting Israel's ongoing assault on Gaza and its long-standing illegal occupation of the West Bank.

Among the named firms are US technology giants Microsoft, Alphabet (Google’s parent company), Amazon, IBM, and Palantir Technologies.

The report also scrutinises the global arms industry, accusing Lockheed Martin, Leonardo S.p.A, and Elbit Systems of supplying Israel with the F-35 fighter jets and other weapons used in Israel’s air campaign against Palestinians.

It comes as Israel’s military budget surged by 65 per cent in the past year to reach $46.5 billion, one of the highest per capita globally, with much of that revenue flowing to foreign defence contractors.

Best-selling apps made by Israeli spies revealed

Some of the most frequently downloaded Apple and Google apps were developed by Israeli spies and war criminals, generating billions in revenue for the apartheid economy.

The developers behind hundreds of Android and iPhone apps with billions of downloads are former Israeli spies whose apps are generating significant revenues for Israel’s genocidal war economy.

The apps I’ve identified range from innocuous image and video editing apps to casual games, and most users won’t be aware they’re installing Israeli products on their phones. Many of these app developers operate under the radar, their ownership structures are opaque and the identity of their owners isn’t commonly known.

The identification of these apps should add another frontier to the boycott, divest, sanctions movement, as it provides a straightforward way for ordinary people to avoid Israeli products that contribute to apartheid, genocide and ethnic cleansing.

The proliferation of these apps on Apple’s App Store and the Google Play Store also raises questions over privacy and the harvesting of personal data, given the reputation of Israeli technology and past scandals involving spyware being smuggled onto devices by apps made in Israel.

One of the most significant Israeli app holding companies and developers is ZipoApps, whose model is to buy-out and monetise apps at a large scale. The apps owned by Zipo (which also goes by the name Rounds.com) include a suite of photo and video editing apps that have received hundreds of millions of total installs. Individual apps include Collage Maker Photo Editor and Instasquare Photo Editor: Neon, both of which have received more than 50 million downloads from the Google Play Store. Other ZipoApps products include baby photo editing and retouching tools. In 2022, the founder and CEO of Zipo, Gal Avidor, told an interviewer (in his only interview to date), that all the founders of the company are former Unit 8200 Israeli intelligence personnel. On Reddit, users have complained about ZipoApps approach to privacy and data mining. One popular group of tools known as Simple Gallery went from free and open source to a paid product with ads and trackers just one week after ZipoApps acquired it.

Another Israeli-owned photo editing app on the Play Store is the AI-powered Bazaart, which was founded by Dror Yaffe and Stas Goferman, two former IDF intelligence officers. Goferman far exceeded his mandatory service, spending a decade in the IDF up to 2011.

Facetune, made by the developer Lightricks and available for Android and iPhones, is another Israeli photo editing app with over 50 million installs. Users on the Apple Store have called Facetune, which demands access to unique identifiers and your location, a scam. The co-founder of Lightricks, Yaron Inger, spent five years in Unit 8200.
