Interesting take on how the Bitcoin Strategic Reserve is done. A lot of debate from big Bitcoin names in the comments, but no one really looking at the glaring mechanism. They are arguing about the merits of nationalizing MSTR.

In reality, Michael Saylor controls about 45% of the voting shares. MSTR has now qualified for the S&P 500, so something needs to happen first or it will be approved and put into savings, pensions, and all account around the world.

I actually think that this happens first. It needs to happen to offset the collapse of the market. Diversified account will fair well, but not concentrated positions without exposure to Bitcoin. This isn't my point though.

With big new entrants, it will be in Blackrock, Schwab, Vanguard, and other funds of bit names. Saylor's votes + a handful of other large vote holders would cross the majority for decision-making.

MSTR isn't going to be nationalized under the rationale of that post; it's going to be sold to the US government…and the shareholders will thank Trump and be happy they're rich and the world was saved.
