Because freemasonry hadn’t been infiltrated and corrupted yet. It really did seek to make men free of tyranny. It succeeded in the US with the American Revolution. It succeeded in France when it fomented the French Revolution. The world was in its way to being freed from the puppet masters.
Well the puppet masters couldn’t let that continue now, could they?
Through the Illuminati (under Adam weishaupt) they had begun infiltrating masonry. Then when their takeover was complete with Albert Pike they turned it into money collectors.
Under the guise of philanthropy, masons collect money but it goes into puppet master pockets. And while most member masons think they’re protecting from tyranny in some way, and doing good, they don’t realize it’s corrupt at the top and redirected.
They almost saved the world. The puppet masters had to ensure that never could get that close again.
