I knew this was coming, so I did not pay my property taxes for years. So, in the last month, I had a constable (I didn't even know that was a thing) try to serve me papers. He knocked on my door like I was a drug kingpin and I didn't answer due to the disrespect. I thought it could be about my taxes so I called the county and they said that someone had paid my taxes and if I didn't pay the county so they could reimburse that person they would own my home. They failed to tell me there was a way to claim the money over and above what the property taxes were. Anyway, long story short, I would have been evicted from my paid-off-in-full home. I was able to pay the past due taxes, but it was a big chunk of money. Many people lose their homes to this corrupt policy so I'm glad to see they are working on it.

I was thinking the same thing, but didn't think about the possibility it was "debts paid in human flesh."
Real Raw News has been publishing stories for many years. If they were consistently spreading deliberate misinformation or defamatory content, they would likely have faced significant legal challenges or lawsuits that could have threatened their operations.
I did check the county website and found that foreclosure sales were paused, so I thought I would be able to hold out until the laws changed. They came up with another way to get paid, obviously.
