Well, attempted Nuke of Hawaii even bigger other than result. A decent size nuke just off shore of Honolulu/Waikiki/Pearl Center/Diamond Head/Hawaii Kai would likely kill close to a million people when tourists included. Nuke, Tsunami, fall out, starvation after.
But take into account the whole plan including WW3 and it is mind boggling.
