A recording of a private meeting during a fundraiser appears to expose what Mr Trump actually told Russia and China in phone calls in his first term, The Sun reports.
The audio from 2024 captures Mr Trump revealing what he claimed to have said during his 2017-2021 presidency to his Russian counterpart.
He’s heard saying: “With Putin I said, ‘If you go into Ukraine, I’m going to bomb the s*** out of Moscow. I’m telling you I have no choice.’”
Later in the recording, the US President can also be heard claiming he gave a similar warning to China’s President Xi Jinping if he invaded Taiwan.
The release of the recordings comes after Russia pummelled Ukraine overnight with its largest missile and drone attack in more than three years of war, claiming to have targeted an airfield in a region bordering Poland.
Earlier, Mr Trump said he would ramp up arms deliveries to Ukraine and accused Mr Putin of spouting “bulls–t” on Ukraine.
The latest strike, which regional officials said had killed one civilian in the Khmelnytsky region, beat a previous Russian record of firing 550 drones and missiles at Ukraine set last week.
The air force announced that Russia attacked with 728 drones and 13 missiles, specifying that its air defence systems intercepted 711 drones and destroyed seven missiles.
“This is a telling attack — and it comes precisely at a time when so many efforts have been made to achieve peace, to establish a ceasefire, and yet only Russia continues to rebuff them all,” President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on social media.
Mr Zelensky, who was visiting Rome and met with Pope Leo XIV, called for Ukraine’s allies to step up sanctions on Russia, particularly on its energy sector — an important revenue stream for the Russian war chest.
“Our partners know how to apply pressure in a way that will force Russia to think about ending the war, not launching new strikes,” Mr Zelensky said.

Sweeping antisemitism plan expected to be handed down by government's envoy
A sweeping plan to defeat antisemitism by the government's hand-picked envoy Jillian Segal is expected to be released to government today, with recommendations that would require new legislation to enact, as well as longer-term aims to improve understanding of Jewish culture.
The plan may also include recommendations on public broadcasting, migration, law enforcement training and a number of other issues that have been the subject of debate for more than a year.
Ms Segal has been developing the plan since her appointment a year ago, in response to a rise in antisemitic attacks on Jewish Australians after the October 7 Hamas terror attack on Israel, and the ongoing war in Gaza.
Last week the entrance of a Melbourne synagogue was set alight, while protesters stormed Israeli-owned restaurant Miznon in the city's CBD.
The Adass Israel Synagogue in Ripponlea was gutted in an arson late last year in a suspected terror attack, and there were a number of attempts to intimidate Jewish Australians with graffiti and vandalism at Jewish schools, synagogues and personal property over the summer.
That included Executive Council of Australian Jewry co-president Alex Ryvchin, whose former home was targeted in one incident.
Facing pressure to respond, the federal government legislated mandatory minimum jail terms for antisemitic offences in a departure from the Labor Party's stated opposition to mandatory minimum sentences.
But a whole-of-society response has remained in development.
Calls to ban student encampments, organised protests
After the Adass Israel attack, the Executive Council of Australian Jewry recommended 15 policies to "defeat" antisemitism, including revocation of charity status for religious or other organisations if they "promote racism", enforcement of powers to cancel or refuse visas on the grounds of antisemitic conduct, and laws to regulate social media algorithms that would filter out "hostile dictatorships".
It also included a call to ban pro-Palestinian protest encampments on university campuses and a ban on university protests coordinated by external organisers — measures that would likely require legislation and state co-operation.

But what happened once they entered the inner sanctum?
Bongino was appointed Deputy Director of the FBI in early 2025 by his friend Patel, now elevated to FBI Director. The appointment shocked even conservatives. According to Reuters, career FBI agents saw the move as “a slap in the face” — a political installation in what was supposed to be a neutral bureau. Instead of firing corrupt actors, Bongino defended a sweeping internal reorganization that displaced over a thousand career officials and consolidated power into a smaller, ideologically aligned inner circle.
While the public was told transparency would define the new FBI, the exact opposite occurred. Rather than releasing long-demanded Epstein documents or details from the Durham investigation, the agency under Patel and Bongino issued memos publicly debunking the existence of an Epstein client list — stunning their own base. Bongino, who had previously insisted the American people deserved the truth, now became the face of official suppression. Meanwhile, Patel focused on optics over openness. In his first week at the helm, he launched a bizarre initiative to partner FBI agents with UFC trainers to toughen them up. He prioritized deportation enforcement and violent crime statistics while gutting internal briefings and limiting transparency. The promise to “open the books” never materialized. The FBI had merely changed costumes — not character.

Supreme Court Denies Florida AG’s Request For Relief From Obama Judge’s Order Blocking Enforcement of State’s Anti-Illegal Immigration Laws
The US Supreme Court on Wednesday denied Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier’s request for relief from an Obama-appointed judge’s order blocking enforcement of the state’s anti-illegal immigration laws.
Last month, a federal judge held Florida’s Attorney General in contempt of court for enforcing the state’s immigration laws.
Uthmeier previously told the corrupt Obama judge that he will not order state authorities to halt enforcement of immigration law.
US District Judge Kathleen Williams, an Obama appointee, issued an injunction claiming Florida’s (state) law violates the Supremacy Clause in the Constitution in response to a lawsuit filed by the anti-American ACLU.
Uthmeier asked state law enforcement to continue to enforce immigration laws even though the judge issued an injunction barring them from doing their jobs.
Under the threat of contempt, AG Uthmeier refused to back down to the judge.
“That law does nothing more than exercise Florida’s inherent sovereign authority to protect its citizens by aiding the enforcement of federal immigration law,” Uthmeier wrote last month, according to Fox News.
“I’m just not going to do that. We believe the court has overstepped and lacks jurisdiction there, and I will not tell law enforcement to stop fulfilling their constitutional duties.”
Judge Williams denied Uthmeier’s request to pause her injunction while he appealed it to the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Last month the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals denied similar request by Uthmeier.
Judge Williams held Uthmeier in contempt of court in mid-June and ordered him to file bi-weekly reports detailing whether any arrests, detentions or law enforcement actions have occurred.

French Intelligence Chief: US Overstated Iran Strike Impact & We Don't Know Where The Uranium Is
The head of France's foreign intelligence agency stated Tuesday that last month's Israeli and American airstrikes on Iran had destroyed only part of its stockpile of highly enriched uranium, though the reality is that the exact whereabouts of the remaining material are unknown.
Chief of the country's Directorate-General for External Security (DGSE) Nicolas Lerner said in a televised interview the strikes had merely delayed Iran’s nuclear program by several months.
"Our assessment today is that each of these stages has been very seriously affected, very seriously damaged," he said. "The nuclear program, as we knew it, has been extremely delayed, probably many months," he added.
While France has some indications of where Iran's uranium might be, Lerner emphasized in the remarks that definitive confirmation would only be possible once the UN's atomic watchdog resumes inspections in the country; however, the problem is that Tehran just formally booted IAEA inspectors from the country.
"Today we have indications (on where it is), but we cannot say with certainty as long as the IAEA does not restart its work. It's very important. We won't have the capacity to trace it (the stocks)," Lerner said.
Iranian officials have accused IAEA officials of actually spying on the Islamic Republic's nuclear energy program, secretly passing information on to Tel Aviv and Washington, which helped with targeting in the recent 12-day war.
Lerner's assessment somewhat partially aligns with the view of US intelligence and the military, given that last week Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said the strikes likely pushed Iran’s nuclear ambitions back by one to two years.
But the Trump admin has consistently claimed that Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan had been destroyed, amid conflicting reports and some international pushback on his assertions.
