A five-story residential building collapsed after being hit in a Ukrainian air strike, the governor of Russia’s Kherson Region, Vladimir Saldo, said. Ukraine’s forces are attacking the area with drones to prevent rescue teams from helping people trapped under the rubble, according to the local authorities.

The building was located in the town of Aleshki, about seven kilometers from the Dnieper River, which separates Russian and the Ukrainian forces in the area.

“The enemy has hit a residential building in Aleshki in an airstrike,” Saldo told Russian media, including TASS and Ria Novosti. “The building has collapsed. Civilians are trapped underneath.”

The building was hit with two bombs, the governor wrote in a statement on Telegram. “Dozens of people are trapped under the rubble,” he said. The exact number of people affected remains unclear, as Ukrainian troops are preventing emergency services from reaching the site with drone attacks, regional authorities said.

Kiev’s forces have been regularly launching attacks against various Russian regions bordering Ukraine, often hitting civilian targets. A Ukrainian drone struck a public beach in the city of Kursk as people gathered to celebrate the Day of Family, Love, and Fidelity, a holiday celebrated on July 8. The strike killed four civilians, including a five-year-old boy.

Last week, four people were killed in a Ukrainian strike on the city of Donetsk. Ukrainian forces used a US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launcher in the attack. Another woman was severely wounded and three others sustained moderate injuries, according to the local authorities.

Last month, the Russian Foreign Ministry accused Kiev of deliberately committing atrocities against civilians in Donbass, including mass killings of elderly people and drone strikes on residential homes.

“It is a deliberate policy that has already been elevated to the level of state doctrine,” Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at the time.

The public was told that no more Epstein files would be forthcoming.

Officials implied the only Epstein-related documents left were “child porn” that could, of course, not be released. The Justice Department, in a memo released on Sunday, said, “no further disclosure would be appropriate or warranted” about the Epstein case involving the sexual trafficking of children.

But one pending FOIA appeal by two litigants in New York, that the DOJ’s Maureen Comey is due to respond to later this month, has identified at least 11,571 more FBI documents alone related to the Epstein affair, almost all of them as-of-yet unreleased.

This is in addition to the estimated 3 million documents the government gave to Ghislaine Maxwell to prepare for her defense, and they are still active in that case.

The ongoing litigation relates to Freedom of Information Act (“FOIA”) requests filed by media entities to release Epstein-related documents. The litigation filed by Radar Online and James Robertson over a FOIA originally filed eight years ago involves over 11,571 documents that the FBI already admits are responsive to a search for Epstein documents.

I’ve been a big supporter of the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement since the beginning—not because I’m some Instagram wellness influencer trying to sell you a $22 bottle of chlorophyll water, but because I believe the basic premise is correct: the food and pharma lobbies have way too much control in this country. The industries responsible for making you sick are also the ones selling you the “cure.”

MAHA, for all its messy edges (and yes, there are plenty), actually touches a nerve that more people should be paying attention to. Whether it’s Bobby Kennedy Jr. trying to get petroleum-based food dyes out of our kids’ cereal, or Trump’s commission taking aim at childhood chronic illness, the movement is putting a spotlight on something most Americans are too busy doom-scrolling or eating microwave sludge to notice: our food is trash, and our health care system is designed to keep it that way.

I’ve seen firsthand how broken it is. You try to eat healthy here, and half the grocery store is lined with products that barely qualify as food—chemical concoctions designed in labs with turkey basters and labcoats. Then, when your body starts to break down (shocking!), you’re sent to the pharmacy, where your options are “maximum strength” or “ultra maximum strength” versions of pills that no longer work because the good ingredients were pulled years ago to prevent people from getting high or healthy—whichever came first.

Meanwhile, companies are still allowed to pump our food full of artificial sweeteners, inflammatory seed oils, and preservatives so potent they could probably steralize and tranquilize a small horse. And that’s just the stuff they list on the label.

Transparency? The FDA won’t even require companies to tell you how they engineered your cereal to taste like Extra Strength chocolate-covered crack dust for minors™, before marketing it with cartoons.

But yeah, let’s keep locking up Sudafed at my local CVS so I have to listen to the underpaid, agitated-for-no-reason “employee” sigh and exhale every time I need to get a product out of the cages we keep them in, in our now-Third-world country.

So when MAHA comes along and says, “Hey, maybe we shouldn’t feed kids petroleum byproducts and call it lunch,” I’m on board. When it says, “Maybe chronic illness in 9-year-olds isn’t normal,” I nod along. And when it says, “Let’s figure out how to stop this disaster before everyone under 30 needs a statin and an Ozempic drip just to function,” I say hell yes.

So, after my last conversation with Dave Collum, I’ve been thinking a lot more about food in terms of the concrete, chemical reality of what we’re putting into our bodies.

The developer likens the app to an “early warning system”, the app will send you a notification if ICE has been spotted nearby.

Now the developer Joshua Aaron has got the attention of Pam Bondi, the US Attorney General, who said he needs to “watch out”.

“What they’re doing is actively encouraging people to avoid law enforcement activities and operations and we’re going to actually go after them and prosecute them,” she said. “What they’re doing, we believe, is illegal.”

ICE acting director had this to say:

“Advertising an app that basically paints a target on federal law enforcement officers’ backs is sickening. My officers and agents are already facing a 500% increase in assaults”

Of course police officers have a dangerous job, much more so when tasked with deporting individuals against their will, however this increase in assault wasn’t supported by any additional details or data.

Legal experts and civil rights attorneys say that ICEBlock falls under protected free speech, and that law enforcement doesn’t have the right to operate in secret.

Although the app is not open-source, the developer pledges that it doesn’t collect user data and sightings auto-delete after 4 hours.

However, because the app runs only on iPhones, the app must use Apple location services, and so Apple has a historical log locations of iPhone users, and could easily isolate users of ICEBlock.

You may remember the first app that popularized police tracking, Waze maps & navigation. Founded by ex-Israeli intelligence veterans of Unit 8200, the app was originally intended to crowd-source community-curated points of interest in Israel, like local events and protests.

U.S. State Department Firing over 1,300 Workers as President Trump Shrinks ‘Bloated’ Government

The U.S. State Department on Friday is firing over 1,300 workers in a reorganization plan as President Donald Trump’s administration works to cut government waste.

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a senior department official explained to the Associated Press (AP) that officials are giving layoff notices to 1,107 civil servants and nearly 250 foreign service officers with assignments inside the United States, the outlet reported on Friday.

“Foreign service officers affected will be placed immediately on administrative leave for 120 days, after which they will formally lose their jobs, according to an internal notice obtained by The Associated Press,” the outlet said.

Per the AP, the notice also said, “In connection with the departmental reorganization … the department is streamlining domestic operations to focus on diplomatic priorities. Headcount reductions have been carefully tailored to affect non-core functions, duplicative or redundant offices, and offices where considerable efficiencies may be found from centralization or consolidation of functions and responsibilities.”

Attorney General Pam Bondi is under fire from every direction. On July 10, she tried to discredit a whistleblower who accused senior Justice Department officials of plotting to defy federal court orders. The whistleblower, Erez Reuveni, is a former DOJ immigration attorney who filed a complaint with the Senate Judiciary Committee last month. He says that on March 14, Emil Bove, now nominated for a federal judgeship, told staff they should “say f— you” to the courts and ignore any order blocking migrant deportation flights to El Salvador’s CECOT prison.

Bondi called Reuveni a “leaker asserting false claims seeking five minutes of fame.” But the evidence is stacking up. Reuveni’s legal team released internal DOJ texts and emails that appear to support his account. One message from DOJ Civil Division head Yaakov Roth confirms Bove advised DHS that deplaning migrants in El Salvador was legally permissible because the judge’s verbal order had not yet been docketed. That interpretation allowed flights to proceed despite the court’s intent to halt them.

Alan Dershowitz added fuel to the fire. On July 10, he told Sean Spicer that he has personally reviewed sealed Epstein documents and knows the names of powerful individuals being protected. He said, “Documents are being suppressed to protect individuals. I know the names. I know why they’re being suppressed. I know who’s suppressing them. But I’m bound by confidentiality.” Dershowitz gained access to the files while defending himself against accusations from Virginia Giuffre, who later recanted and settled the case.

Dershowitz says the DOJ’s claim that no client list exists is false. He insists the suppression is deliberate and wrong. He’s calling for full transparency and says the public deserves to see the documents. The DOJ says releasing the files would violate court orders and expose victims to further harm.

Google Helped Israel Spread War Propaganda to 45 Million Europeans

While it continues its conflict with its neighbors, Israel is fighting another war just as intensely, spending gigantic amounts of money bombarding Europe with messaging justifying their actions, and scaremongering Europeans that Iranian nuclear missiles will soon be turning their cities into rubble.

A MintPress study has found that, since it struck Iran on June 13, the Israeli Government Advertising Agency has paid for tens of millions of advertisements on YouTube alone. In clear breach of Google’s policies, these ads justify and lionize the attack as a necessary defense of Western civilization, and claim that Israel is carrying out “one of the largest humanitarian missions in the world” in Gaza.

The countries most targeted by this campaign include the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Germany, and Greece.

Information War

“A fanatical regime firing missiles at civilians, while racing towards nuclear weapons. While Iran deliberately targets cities, Israel acts with precision to dismantle this threat.” Thus starts one Israeli government ad that hundreds of thousands of YouTube viewers in Europe have been compelled to watch.

“Terror architects behind the elimination of Israel plan: eliminated. Israel targets only military and terror sites, not civilians. But the threat remains,” the voiceover continues, over ominous music and high-tech graphics. “We will finish the mission for our people, for humanity. Israel does what must be done,” it concludes.

“Iran’s ballistic missile program isn’t just a threat to Israel, it is a threat to Europe and the Western world,” another, seen by 1.5 million viewers in just three weeks, claims. “Iran is developing missiles with ranges of approximately 4000 km. That places Europe within the regime’s striking distance,” it adds, as graphics show virtually the entire continent turning blood red, signifying a nuclear attack. “This isn’t tomorrow’s threat. It is today’s reality. The threat posed by the Iranian regime must be stopped. Israel does what must be done.”

Ominous messages like these, translated into multiple languages, have reached tens of millions of people across Europe. Other Israeli government ads take a different tack, attempting to present Israel as a virtuous victim and an unwilling participant in war. As one commercial notes:

Imagine this: you are holding your newborn in a hospital room. Then the air raid sirens go off. Iran fires ballistic missiles at hospitals, at innocent Israelis. Patients, doctors, newborn babies: deliberately targeted. While Iran aims at families and children, Israel responds with precision, striking military sites. This is not a war of choice. Those who target civilians and hospitals become the target.”

The claims made in such videos are often highly questionable. For example, around 935 Iranians were killed in Israeli strikes, compared to just 28 Israelis, suggesting Israel is far less careful to avoid civilian deaths than its opponent. Indeed, since October 2023, Israel has repeatedly and deliberately targeted hospitals. The World Health Organization has documented at least 697 Israeli strikes on medical facilities.

Ninety-four percent of Gaza’s hospitals have been destroyed or damaged, and more than 1,400 medical personnel have been killed. This includes Dr. Adnan al-Bursh, head of orthopedics at al-Shifa Hospital, who was reportedly raped to death by Israeli prison guards. According to UNICEF, Israel has killed or injured over 50,000 Palestinian children. An American nurse who worked in Gaza told MintPress News that IDF soldiers regularly shoot boys in the genitals to prevent them from reproducing.

Despite this, Israeli advertising presents the country as the savior of the Palestinian people. One Ministry of Foreign Affairs video, set to epic, inspiring music, describes Israel as undertaking “One of the largest humanitarian operations in the world right now.” “This is what real aid looks like. Smiles don’t lie. Hamas does,” it concludes.

Paris to be new headquarters of 'coalition of the willing' for Ukraine

Britain said on Thursday that Paris would be the new headquarters for the so-called 'coalition of the willing' to support Ukraine in the event of a ceasefire, with plans underway for a future coordination cell in Kyiv.

Following a three-day state visit in Britain for French President Emmanuel Macron, Britain said preparation for a ceasefire in Ukraine should "continue on an enduring, business as usual footing, to ensure that a force can deploy in the days following the cessation of hostilities".

As part of that the two leaders held virtual talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, other international leaders and U.S. representatives including Special Presidential Envoy, General Keith Kellogg, Senator Lindsey Graham and Senator Richard Blumenthal.

They agreed the headquarters would be in Paris and led by Britain and France to oversee all tactical and operational arrangements. The HQ will then rotate to London after the first 12 months.
