Kremlin accuses European nations of confrontational stance

Plans by some countries to put troops in Ukraine are evidence of a militaristic approach, spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said

Western Europe has refused to consider dialogue with Russia and is instead pursuing militaristic policies by planning to send troops to Ukraine, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said.

Speaking to reporters on Friday, Peskov stated that the determination by ==some European nations to station foreign forces on Ukrainian soil reflects their broader “militaristic, confrontational, [and] anti-Russian” stance.

“In this regard, one can only express regret==,” he said, adding that Moscow’s “understandable and consistent signals” about the dangers of foreign deployments have been ignored.

Peskov stated that Russia is “disappointed” by the apparent unwillingness in some European countries to even discuss Moscow’s security concerns. Instead of European countries spending large amounts of taxpayer money on supporting Ukraine, he suggested that they take Russia’s concerns into account and start a dialogue based on mutual respect.

“In theory, logic and reason probably dictate the preference of this option. But we see that it is not in such demand now and is not even being discussed in European countries,”Peskov said.

His remarks follow French President Emmanuel Macron’s announcement that ajoint Franco-British military force of up to 50,000 troopscould be deployed to Ukraine following a ceasefire.

Speaking alongside UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer in London on Thursday, Macron also stated that the so-called “coalition of the willing”intends to patrol Ukraine’s airspace and coastline as part of a broader strategy to rebuild the country’s armed forces. According to Macron, a coordination center could be set up in Kiev under British command to manage operations.

Russian officials have consistently rejected the idea of foreign troop deployments in Ukraine. Foreign Minister SergeyLavrov has said any such move would create “facts on the ground” that prevent real negotiations.

Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) also warned last year that the deployment of a so-called Western peacekeeping force, which could consist of around 100,000 troops, would amount to a de facto occupation.

The Kremlin has previously stated that Western efforts to bolster the Ukrainian militarily are damaging any chance of a peaceful resolution to the conflict. In March, Moscow condemned Macron’s original proposal to send “deterrence forces” to Ukraine, calling it a provocative and destabilizing measure.

Russia has maintained that any peacekeeping deployment must be agreed upon by all parties to the conflict.

Western European leaders dragging continent toward war with Russia – Lavrov

Politicians in the EU and UK have “forgotten” the lessons of history, Russia’s top diplomat stressed

Western European leaders have forgotten the lessons of history and are once again steering the continent toward direct military confrontation with Russia, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has warned.

During a press conference following ASEAN events on Friday, he pointed to recent actions and rhetoric coming from Berlin, Paris, and London as evidence that European leaders are taking an increasingly aggressive stance toward Moscow.

Lavrov pointed to a public exchange in which French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot was asked why Paris continues to support the Nazi regime in Kiev. The Russian diplomatquestioned the sincerity of Barrot’s “hysterical” response, in which he insisted France was defending “the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

“They have forgotten the conclusions that all of humanity once drew from those lessons. And, essentially, they areonce again trying to prepare Europe for war – not some hybrid war, but a real war against Russia,” Lavrov stated.

Kiev’s push for territorial control serves only to “suppress the rights of the Russian and Russian-speaking population and to physically eliminate those who oppose” the post-coup regime, according to Russia’s top diplomat.

Claims that territorial integrity is the sole motive amount to “self-incrimination,” he added.

Moscow has sounded the alarm over the resurgence of Nazi ideology and suppression of Russian culture in Ukraine for years, listing ‘denazification’ as one of the key goals in the conflict.

Lavrov also addressed remarks by German Chancellor FriedrichMerz, who said Germany must once again become Europe’s leading military power. “He didn’t even choke on the word ‘again,’” Lavrov noted. If Merz now believes peaceful solutions are exhausted, he has effectively dedicated himself to the militarization of Germany at the expense of its own people, Lavrov argued, calling such a stance “complete nonsense.”

Moscow has warned that Berlin’s stance could lead to a new armed conflict with Moscow decades after the end of World War II.

The Kremlin maintains that Russia prefers a peaceful solution to the conflict but warned that conditions on the ground are rapidly evolving while Kiev balks at a third round of direct negotiations.

Moscow has condemned the EU’s growing militarization, which has stirred divisions within the bloc, while describing its weapons deliveries to Kiev as part of a NATO-led proxy war.

Lavrov saidMoscow will take Europe’s militarization “into account in all areas of our strategic planning.

News: Putin Nationalizes Gold, Mali Steals Some

Newswire | July 11, 2025

MOSCOW | Russian prosecutors havemoved to seize the assets of billionaire Konstantin Strukov, marking a stark turn in theKremlin’s crackdown on oligarchs deemed insufficiently obedient.

Strukov, long considered loyal to President Vladimir Putin, now faces criminal charges, asset forfeiture, and political exile.

Konstantin Strukov, once seen as a model Kremlin-aligned tycoon, isbeing stripped of control over Uzhuralzoloto, Russia’s third-largest gold producer.

Prosecutors are pressing corruption charges and have asked the judiciary totransfer all of Strukov’s assets—domestic and offshore—into state hands. He was reportedly detained on July 5 while attempting to fly to Turkey, with his passport now invalid.

Turned Back from Turkey

The move underscores a shift in Kremlin expectations from loyalty to submission.Strukov is accused of moving wealth abroad, shielding assets under his daughter’s name in Switzerland, and financing a lavish lifestyle.

The campaign comes asRussia intensifies nationalisations across key sectors, including grain and mining, to shore up economic control amid sanctions and war spending fatigue.

Authorities are also investigating environmental and safety violations at Uzhuralzoloto sites, where fatal accidents have occurred. The FSB searched company offices in Moscow in early July.

Strukov, who once held political office and received state honors, is being used as an example, analysts say, to send a warning to oligarchs: public support for the state is no longer enough—private assets and personal conduct must also align with Kremlin strategy.

Nice Gold, I think I'll take it

Since early 2025, Moscow has accelerated seizures of strategic assets, recouping an estimated $30 billion. The state previously targeted foreign corporate remnants; now, domestic empires are also vulnerable.

Strukov joins a growing list of elites falling out of favor. His removal signals a broader effort to reassert state controlover gold, agriculture, and other strategic sectors. Analysts see it as a preemptive response to slowing wartime economic stimulus and rising recession risks.

News: Mali Seizes $117M in Gold From Barrick Mine Amid Dispute

Mercantilism means protecting Gold supply by Any Means Necessary

Jul 11, 2025

Bottom Line:

Malian military helicopters landed unannounced at Barrick Gold’s Loulo-Gounkoto complex Thursday, seizing over one metric ton of bullion worth more than $117 million. The move escalates a months-long standoff between the Canadian miner and Mali’s military government.

The Story:

Barrick Gold Corp. confirmed that helicopters from the Malian government arrived without warning and departed with approximately 2,204 pounds of refined gold, valued at $117.2 millionbased on Thursday’s price of $3,324/oz. The metal is reportedly in the hands of the provisional administration appointed by Bamako, though its final destination remains unclear.

This latest seizure follows the January confiscation of three metric tons of gold, which the government has yet to account for publicly.

The Loulo-Gounkoto mine was shuttered earlier this year afterMalian authorities blocked exports and detained senior Barrick personnel. In June, Mali placed the mine under provisional state control and announced plans to restart operations under temporary oversight.

The conflict stems from 2023, when Mali’s military regime imposed new financial demands on foreign operators, including retroactive tax claims and mandates under a revised mining law that increases state ownership and royalties. While other firms such as B2Gold and Allied Gold have reached settlements, Barrick has pursued legal recourse.

CEO Mark Bristow stated Thursday that Barrick remains committed to Mali and is preparing for international arbitration, with initial hearings scheduled before the end of July.

The Food Is Poison & The Lobbyists Know It

by quoth the raven Friday, Jul 11, 2025 - 7:01

Submitted by QTR's Fringe Finance

I’ve been a big supporter of the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement since the beginning—not because I’m some Instagram wellness influencer trying to sell you a $22 bottle of chlorophyll water, but because I believe the basic premise is correct: the food and pharma lobbies have way too much control in this country. The industries responsible for making you sick are also the ones selling you the “cure.”

MAHA, for all its messy edges (and yes, there are plenty), actually touches a nerve that more people should be paying attention to. Whether it’s Bobby Kennedy Jr. trying to get petroleum-based food dyes out of our kids’ cereal, or Trump’s commission taking aim at childhood chronic illness, the movement is putting a spotlight on somethingmost Americans are too busy doom-scrolling or eating microwave sludge to notice:our food is trash, and our health care system is designed to keep it that way.

I’ve seen firsthand how broken it is. You try to eat healthy here, and half the grocery store is lined with products that barely qualify as food—chemical concoctions designed in labs with turkey basters and labcoats. Then, when your body starts to break down (shocking!), you’re sent to the pharmacy, where your options are “maximum strength” or “ultra maximum strength” versions of pills that no longer work because the good ingredients were pulled years ago to prevent people from getting high or healthy—whichever came first.

Meanwhile, companies are still allowed to pump our food full of artificial sweeteners, inflammatory seed oils, and preservatives so potent they could probably sterilize and tranquilize a small horse. And that’s just the stuff they list on the label.

Transparency? The FDA won’t even require companies to tell you how they engineered your cereal to taste like Extra Strength chocolate-covered crack dust for minors™, before marketing it with cartoons.

But yeah, let’s keep locking up Sudafed at my local CVS so I have to listen to the underpaid, agitated-for-no-reason “employee” sigh and exhale every time I need to get a product out of the cages we keep them in, in our now-Third-world country.

So when MAHA comes along and says, “Hey, maybe we shouldn’t feed kids petroleum byproducts and call it lunch,” I’m on board. When it says, “Maybe chronic illness in 9-year-olds isn’t normal,” I nod along. And when it says, “Let’s figure out how to stop this disaster before everyone under 30 needs a statin and an Ozempic drip just to function,” I say hell yes.

So, after my last conversation with Dave Collum, I’ve been thinking a lot more about food in terms of the concrete, chemical reality of what we’re putting into our bodies.

That conversation wandered through topics like pharma, health, and nutrition, and even the shocking difference in how food affects…

Where Trump Wants To Send Deportees Under The Third-Country Deal

by Tyler Durden Friday, Jul 11, 2025 - 05:45 AM

Eight men deported from the U.S.arrived in South Sudanlast week after being held for weeks in Djibouti while their legal process was carried out in court. South Sudan is on the United State’sno-travel list due to “crime, kidnapping and armed conflict.” The eight had been convicted of violent crimes in the U.S. and had either completed or been near the end of finishing their sentences.

The group had initially been sent towards South Sudan in May. However, they were redirected to Djibouti when Judge Brian E. Murphy in Boston said that the men were not given “meaningful opportunity” to object that the deportation could put them in danger. According to AP, the group was flown out of the U.S. just hours after receiving notice with no chance to contact lawyers.

Last week, the supreme court overturned Judge Murphy's ruling.

The case is being compared to the UK’s highly-criticized and now abandoned Rwanda deal, as South Sudan is not the country of origin for all of the men but rather a ‘third-country’.

While one of the eight is from South Sudan, the others are from Cuba, Laos, Mexico, Myanmar and Vietnam.U.S. authorities state that most of the men’s home countries had refused to accept them.

According to reporting by The New York Times, the U.S. is intending to expand its network for third country deportations, having asked or planned to ask at least 58 countries to take in people who are not their citizens. So far, eight countrieshave reportedly accepted the offer:Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Kosovo, Mexico, Panama, Rwanda and now South Sudan.

Nations earmarked by the Trump administration aspossible additional places for deportations include Ukraine and Syria. However, as Statista's Anna Fleck shows in the chart below, the majority of the 51 nations cited by the NYT are in Africa (31 countries), including the Democratic Republic of Congo and Libya.

https://www.zerohedge.com/political/where-trump-wants-send-deportees-under-third-country-deal

Sounds like the Trump Admin is not only finding places to deport illegals too, but it putting upBIG flashing lights and noticesto illegals, that are here already or are trying to come here:

The USA will not only deport you, but we will send you where ever on earth we want to, and not to you home country. So don’t come if you don’t want to be sent to very dangerous countries.(This will really make them think twice before entering.)

Many of these countries are subject to a new full or partial travel ban to the U.S. or are being considered for one.

Previous deportations of nationals to third countries have already taken place this year.

This includes the more than 130 Venezuelans sent to an El Salvador prison and an estimated 200 migrants, including 80 children, from countries including Afghanistan, Russia, China and India, sent to Costa Rica.

EU Justice Commissioner Signals Brussels Will Continue To Blackmail Hungary In Run Up To National Elections

by Tyler Durden Friday, Jul 11, 2025 - 05:00 AM

Using the “Poland method,” the European Union elite played a pivotal role in toppling the conservative Polish government by freezing billions in EU funds. Once Donald Tusk came to power, the money began flowing again. Now, the same method is set to be used against Hungary in the run-up to national elections next year.

The European Commission published its 2025 Rule of Law Report on Tuesday, before which European Commissioner for Justice Michael McGrath told RedaktionsNetzwerk Deutschland that they are concerned about the situation in Hungary and are ready to use all means available to force Hungary to fall in line.

What does that mean in practice? Withholding billions in cohesion funds from Hungary, and possibly much more in the future.

“As far as Hungary is concerned, the Commission remains seriously concerned about the rule of law situation,” the EU justice commissioner said before the report was published, as cited by the Mandiner news portal.

McGrath noted that various tools were at Brussels’ disposal to take action, from freezing EU funds to referring the case to the European Court of Justice. The rule of law, he said, “means justice instead of arbitrariness, and trust instead of fear.” He said he refused to allow it to be deemed some form of “abstract value.”

The EC’s report targets the Hungarian judiciary, which they say is compromised by political influence, and Hungary’s case allocation and appointment system, which they deem insufficiently transparent. They considered that progress had been made in terms of corruption, but they found the anti-corruption institutions, including the Integrity Authority, insufficiently effective.

The EU also claims that the allocation of public funds and EU funds is not transparent. The document makes note of the fact that Transparency International’s 2024 Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) ranks Hungary as the “most corrupt country” in the EU.

TI has long been funded in part by George Soros’ Open Society Foundation. As Remix News has reported in the past, the organization is highly partisan, and often ranks Hungary on par with corruption as war-torn African countries. Regarding domestic media, it is claimed that “state advertising distorts the market” and that opposition media is marginalized. No mention of countries like Germany, where media outlets are raided by police, including the publisher and journalists, and then completely erased from the internet, only for courts to later say the entire action was illegal.

Moreover, the room for civil society organizations to maneuver has narrowed, it reads, and oversight of the executive branch is lacking.

In addition to the report on 2024, the document also reports on the consultation with civil society organizations in 2025. Based on the reports of the NGOs, they write about the shortcomings of the institutional system for preventing corruption and the weakening of independent institutions.

Given its findings and what it believes to be a worsening situation in Hungary, the EU will continue to withhold some €6.3 billion in cohesion funds.

“Stakeholders note that the distribution of public funding continues to be uneven, untransparent, privileging government-aligned organizations against CSOs critical of government policies, which are not able to secure public funding in Hungary. Overall, no progress has been made on the recommendation and the situation has instead further deteriorated.”…

In response to the report, Hungary’s Nézőpont Institute has come out with its own report, calling on Brussels to abide by the rule of law as well. It highlighted four main areas of particular concern when it comes to EU institutions: unchecked corruption, persistent conflicts of interest, opaque funding practices regarding NGOs, and the entrenched double standards applied by various EU bodies….

Lavrov reflects on Rubio meeting, European militarization, provocations targeting DPRK

TASS has compiled key highlights from the Russian foreign minister's statements

KUALA LUMPUR, July 11. /TASS/. The current leaders in Europe have neglected the lessons of history as they are once again attempting to mobilize the continent for a war against Russia, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated at a press conference following events along the lines of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in Kuala Lumpur.

The United States and its allies continue staging provocations against North Korea, Lavrov noted. Also, he summarized his meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

TASS has compiled key highlights from his statements.

Meeting with Rubio

The future of the New START Treaty was not discussed at a meeting with Rubio in Kuala Lumpur.

Instead,Lavrov and Rubio talked Ukraine. "We discussed Ukraine, and we reiterated the position that President [of Russia Vladimir] Putin has articulated, including during his conversation with President [of the United States Donald] Trump on July 3," Lavrov said.

Russia’s top diplomat refused to comment on Rubio’s remarks about the latest plan on Ukraine, saying "there are matters that cannot be commented on."

The two top diplomats did not discuss claims by CNN around audio recordings of remarks by Trump at an event last year when he allegedly threatened to bomb Moscow. "As for this dialogue, leak, recording, I don’t know whether it’s by a neural network or not, but, after all, we were discussing serious issues."

Militarization in Europe, Merz’s position

Russia will take the policy course toward militarization being pursued by Europe into account in all aspects of its planning, Lavrov said.

"Recent statements and actions from Berlin, Paris, and London show that the latest generation of politicians who came to power in these and a number of other countries have forgotten the lessons of history, have disregarded the conclusions the entire humankind has drawn from those lessons, as they are actually once again attempting to raise Europe for war, not a hybrid war this time around, but a full-scale war on Russia," the foreign minister noted.

Lavrov dismissed as "absolute nonsense" a statement from German Chancellor Friedrich Merzwho claimed that diplomatic means of resolving the Ukrainian conflict have been exhausted.

Situation in the Middle East

Russia called for extending a ceasefire between Iran and Israel "without any delays," Lavrov said.

According to him, proposals to create so-called "united Palestinian emirates" and similar ideas are heightening risks to the establishment of a Palestinian state in line with UN mandates. "This obviously presents a major challenge for the international community," he maintained.

On provocations against North Korea

Lavrov said the conflict potential on the Korean Peninsula is quite substantial, as the United States and its allies continue provocative actions against North Korea. "Military exercises have been held on an increasingly larger scale, including with the nuclear component," he said.

Moscow will make every contribution to guaranteeing Pyongyang’s legitimate rights and "preventing provocations that may not end well," he continued.

Taiwan issue

Western calls to maintain the status quo on Taiwan are blatantly hypocritical, and "this hypocrisy is obvious to anyone remotely familiar with the issue and how the West currently interacts with Taiwan," Lavrov stated.

(Lavrov definitely doesn’t sound happy or diplomatically pleased, that picture shows it. Actually no one looks pleased to be there, there's not even an attempt at any smiles.)

Fallout Over Handling of Epstein Case Erupts Into the Open

An irate attorney general is said to have confronted the deputy director of the F.B.I. at a tense White House meeting earlier in the week.

By Glenn Thrush

Reporting from Washington July 11, 2025Updated 5:01 p.m. ET

The bitter blame game over the handling of the investigation into the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein erupted in public on Friday between Attorney General Pam Bondi and the senior leadership of the F.B.I., particularly the bureau’s deputy director, Dan Bongino.

Ms. Bondi and her allies believe that Mr. Bongino, who parlayed a he-man image and promotion of conspiracies into a top law enforcement job, planted stories in the conservative news media blaming Ms. Bondifor the backlash after an announcement earlier this week that the Epstein case would be closed, according to officials close to the situation. The officials spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss conversations intended to be private.

It escalated into an angry face-to-face confrontation at the White House on Wednesday, when an irateMs. Bondi accused Mr. Bongino of leaking information to the news mediain the presence of the F.B.I. director, Kash Patel, the White House chief of staff Susie Wiles and one of her deputies, Taylor Budowich.Mr. Bongino denied it, they said.

Furious Bondi accuses Bongino of media leaks in 'face-to-face' showdown: report

Alexander Willis

July 11, 2025 4:10PM ET

As the fallout over the Trump administration’s handling of files related to Jeffrey Epstein continues, Attorney General Pam Bondi reportedly confronted FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino in what The New York Times reported was an “angry face-to-face confrontation.”

“It erupted into an angry face-to-face confrontation at the White House on Wednesday, when an irate Ms. Bondi accused Mr. Bongino of leaking information to the news media in the presence of the F.B.I. director, Kash Patel, the White House chief of staff Susie Wiles and one of her deputies, Taylor Budowich,” wrote New York Times reporter Glenn Thrush on Friday.

Bondi, Bongino and Patel all signed off on a recent report that concluded Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide, and that no evidence existed that he maintained a client list of powerful individuals for blackmail purposes. The report was contrary to many theories around the disgraced financier, including those pushed by Bondi, Bongino and Patel themselves, as well as by others in Trump’s cabinet, including Vice President JD Vance.

The blowback to the report has been swift, particularly among Trump’s most loyal supporters, many of them directing their anger directly at Bondi, though Bongino and Patel have not been spared from MAGA scorn either.

Bongino reportedly took the day off Friday out of growing frustrations over how the Epstein case was handled, and is even considering quitting over the matter, CNN reported. And now, those growing inter-agency tensions include multiple heated confrontations between top leaders at the Justice Department and the DOJ.

“Mr. Bongino, during another confrontation within the past week, told Ms. Bondi she had overhyped the likelihood that a review of the case undertaken by the Justice Department and FBIthis year would reveal a list of Mr. Epstein’s sex-trafficking clients, and possibly raise questions about his 2019 death by hanging in custody, which was ruled a suicide,” Thrush wrote.

The blowback has only heated up since the DOJ and FBI report leaked on Monday, with the Trump administration continuing to spark fury among its base for continually shutting down further inquiries into the matter. Longtime Trump ally Steve Bannon even saw a revolt of sorts on his far-right podcast War Room earlier Friday, with guests accusing Trump of having “become the deep state.”

https://www.rawstory.com/jeffrey-epstein-2673132339/

(Bondi now has fucked with Trump's reputation and support, did she freakin lie to him about all of it. She is a bad penny or worse now. I watched Dan's podcast for 3 years, he is not a fucking liar or leaking, she is freakin full of herself.)
