Statute of limitations may not apply to Brennan, Comey, et. al.
I have seen several references recently that Brennan and Comey may be off the hook if they aren't charged within the next couple of months because the statute of limitations will kick in. Turns out there is an exception called the Continuing Violations Doctrine, which says that in the case of ongoing illegal activity the SoL clock doesn't start until after thelastact. Most of the references I can find are for employment/discrimination cases. but there is one reference (yes it is in wikipedia so take it for what it is worth) which says it applies to criminal law as well.
>In tort law, if any person or entity commits a series of illegal acts against another person or entity (or in criminal law if a defendant commits a continuing crime) the limitation period may begin to run from the last act in the series.

If this doctrine does apply and a conspiracy to prevent Trump from being elected, which continued up to the 2024 election, is charged then anything Brennan and Comey did in furtherance of that conspiracy is chargeable not matter how long ago it was.
One of the factors in a conspiracy charge is that the left hand doesn't have to know what the right hand is doing as long as both are working toward a common goal.
Maybe a lawfag (I'm not) can chime in and clarify if the doctrine does apply.
